Danganronpa Blackened Hearts
Project Overview
Hello! Right now me and my team are working on creating a Danganronpa fangame! The premise is that a group of Ultimates from a school not unlike Hope’s Peak are sent to a Juvenile Detention Facility under a lifetime sentence. The only way to leave is to kill someone and end your sentence to return back to the school. However, there is a twist that makes it unlike any other Fangan: the potential for YOU to become the blackened and plot your murder, with multiple paths of the story branching out depending on whether or not you choose to befriend those close to you, or stab their backs. Right now we are looking for both male and female voice talent with no experience necessary, writers, editors, artists, animators, programmers, and whatever talent you wish to offer!

Arisa Arakawa - The Ultimate Sculptor - the main character of Blackened Hearts, Arisa is a bit of a typical Dangan MC, though a bit more reserved and calm than that of Makoto or Kaede. She is an expert sculptor, yet feels incredibly small when placed with students with international fame. As the story progresses, Arisa will lose countless of her friends, and even one she trusted the most, which can drive her to killing. Looking for an actress who can play a kind protagonist that slowly loses her grip on reality.
[Bubbly] Hiya, I’m Arisa Arakawa (Ah-ree-sah Are-ah-kah-wah), and I'm the Ultimate Sculptor, but I promise I’m not as boring as you think most sculptors would be!
[Inspirational] Listen up everyone! We mustn’t lose hope, we mustn’t lose faith when we're face-face with despair! I know our situation is dire, but we must get through it together!

Kobe Sato - The Ultimate Actor - Antagonistic and snobbish, the Ultimate Actor is a stage actor who has originated countless roles across Japan's theaters. The stardom has surely gone to his head, and is incredibly antagonistic of others, while always seems to be plotting something alone. His abrasive and pompous voice is rarely wanted in a class trial, when its almost a guarantee its him that'll start something. Looking for a voice actor who can portray both insanity and mean behavior reminiscent of Kokichi Oma himself.
[Casual] My glorious name is Kobe Sato (Koh-bay Sah-toh), the Ultimate Actor. I’m the most famous stage actor in Japan, but, based on your looks, it doesn't look like you go to the theater much now do you?
[Angry and sarcastic] Ah, of course you look to pin the murder on me! I appreciate the attention, as always, but take a look at the whole stage first before you make assumptions.
[Cornered] Bah! How di- [Back to being pompous and arrogant] Hahaha, it was just me acting! Now then, where were we?
Similar to Monokuma, Monokai is a trickster owl who is the warden of the Juvenile Detention Center the game takes place in. As the moderator of the group and their class trials, Monokai will act sadistically and will purposefully remove information or tell lies to cause suffering. Looking for an actor or actress who can replicate Monokuma's voice while putting a more sinister twist on it.
[Laughing evilly] Hahahahaha! Welcome to the Juvenile Detention Center for Ultimate Teenagers! I am your fabulous warden, the one and only MONOKAI!
[Angry] Heyyyyyyyy! That's not how you're supposed to play the game!
[Impressed] Well, well, well now! Incredible handiwork there, I must say!
Camari Ojo - The Ultimate Mixologist - A spunky bartender who worked her way from the deepest and darkest slums to being known for her incredible and unique brand of cocktails as well as other alcoholic beverages. She is an incredibly hard worker, desiring to never let her family return to the place she grew up. Looking for a voice actress who can portray a spunky young woman who can easily get upset.
[Casual] Hiya! I’m Camari Ojo (Cah-mar-ee Oh-joh), the Ultimate Mixologist. If you ever want a drink, now you know where to find me.
[Angry and Emotional] When I was growing up in the slums, every single night I would walk home from work, terrified for my safety, and half the time I wouldn't make it back safely. And it's all because of his dad I was forced to live like that. He’s the real thief!
[Nervous and Sad] I-I didn’t mean to-. He must’ve taken the wrong drink. Th-this wasn't what I planned at all... I'm sorry...
Kisho Baidashi - The Ultimate Cryptographer - An intellectual prodigy, Kisho is a master at creating and cracking encryption codes and foreign ciphers, and, despite his age, has a high ranking in the Japanese government. Though to achieve this acclaim, he rarely has time for sleep, and comes across as abrasive, stern, and cold. Don't be fooled however; he is still a genius and is incredibly perceptive of others. Looking for a male actor who can deliver a comically deep, deadpan voice, so cold that its almost devoid of emotion.
[Stoic and deadpan] I am the Ultimate Cryptographer, Kisho Baidashi (Kii-show Bye-dah-shi)
[Irritated] You know I could have had three hours of sleep instead of the usual two. What is so important that you have to ruin my sleep schedule for the rest of the week.
[Thinking] Wait, Arisa. You seem to have forgotten a key detail. Just exactly when did the murder take place? The fact that it's missing from the Monokai File is most suspicious.
Teku Kyono - The Ultimate Vet - Female - A bubbly and pure veterinarian, Teku is cute and easygoing, quickly making friends with the MC and the rest of the cast. However, she is still self-sufficient and willing to stand up for herself and for others when in need. Notably, she does not get along well with Chisama, strongly disagreeing with his practice of taxidermy. Looking for a voice actress who can deliver a soft, bubbly voice which is able to snap in two at the right moment.
[Bubbly greeting] Hiii! I'm Teku Kyono (Teh-Koo Kii-Oh-Noh), the Ultimate Vet! I just love animals, don't you?
[Upset] How could you do that to those poor animals! You should be ashamed, Chisama!
[Nervous and Emotional] I-I-I failed you all. I couldn't save him. If-if I was just a little bit better, then-then maybe he'd be standing here with us.
Ryuu Nagamori - The Ultimate Party Host - The son of the CEO of one of Japan's largest corporations, Ryuu grew up in total luxury, spending most of his youth out partying with friends. Eventually, he got a knack for the art of parties, able to throw more and more extravagant parties, which were sponsored by his father for good press for his company. Ryuu takes it extremely personally when something goes wrong at one of his parties, vowing to never let that mistake happen again. Looking for a voice actor with a relaxed, "bro" type voice, who is also able to convey a deep sense of friendship with his peers.
[Casual] Name’s Ryuu Nagamori (Ree-oo Nah-gah-more-ee)! I'm here ‘cause i'm the ultimate Party Host!
[Angry/Upset] God damn it, this whole thing is...well, it’s bullshit. It’s Super Bullshit 64 over here...

Chisama Katanaijo - The Ultimate Taxidermist - Male - Shy, short, and nervous, Chisama is often berated for his exceedingly feminine appearance. Often over apologetic, he tries to make himself seem stronger than the socially inept boy he is, and confides in his taxidermy animal mounts as the only things he can really open up to. Looking for a voice actor or actress who can do the voice of a shy, fearful boy with insecurities.
[trying to be confident & failing] My name is Chisama Katanaijo (Chi-sah-mah Kah-tahn-ai-joh. I... taxidermy animals. That’s, um, my thing. I-it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance…
[More upset than angry] No…! I’m sick of people thinking I’m a girl! I-um, n-not that there’s anything wrong with being a girl! That’s not what I meant to imply…
[Somewhat insecure] People are, well, a little too complicated for me. I-I don't really need friends when I have my mounts, you see?
14. Akira Setsuna - The Ultimate Sudoku Player - A non-binary master of sudoku, despite being as young and small as they are, Akira is harsh and mean. They don't care for others whatsoever, caring mostly about their passion for sudoku. Their history of being the undisputed champion of sudoku in Japan has given them great strategic insight, and is often the first one with a plan. Looking for a voice actor or actress of any gender identity who can deliver the voice of a young but harsh master of tactics.
[Bored] I’m Akira Setsuna (Ah-kee-rah Set-soo-nah), the Ultimate Sudoku Master.… I said my piece. Can you go away now?
[Deadpan] I stayed in my room and wrote numbers in squares for all of middle school. I want to hear your justification for how I could have physically killed them.
[Thinking deeply] So the killer and the murder weapon are both absent from the scene… talk about a hidden pair. This'll be tough to solve...
Daiya Inumuta - The Ultimate Filmmaker - A young director whose horror films earned her national acclaim, Daiya is a motherly figure with a studio executive vibe. She takes care and takes responsibility, acting much more maturely and rationally than others. However, she is hiding a secret, one which inevitably changes the other's perspective on her forever. Looking for a voice actress who can deliver a relaxed, motherly voice but withholding of a dark secret.
[Casual/Nice] Hello, I’m Daiya Inumuta! (Die-yah In-ooh-moo-tah) You may know me though, I'm the maker of *The Terror on 16th Avenue*, among my other works?
[Angry] How could you think of accusing one of us of something like that? We're in this situation together, I can't think of a single reason as to why someone would kill!
[Nervous] What? Me? Nah, I couldn’t hurt a fly if I wanted to!
Adamu Sanda - The Ultimate Waterboy - A waterboy for the highest level of Japanese national baseball, Adamu is peppy and sporty kid. He is always the most encouraging person in the room, and always keeps a smile on his face. However, underneath his warm exterior is a layer of self-worth issues, only really taking up the waterboy job to impress his cool sports friends, and not being happy with himself at all. Looking for a loud voice actor whose volume hides underlaying insecurities.
[Casually] Nice to meetcha, I'm Adamu Sanda (Ah-dah-moo Sahn-dah). If you ever get dehydrated, Sanda's your man! You wanna Powerade?
[Offended, but trying to hold back] You can’t just accuse people like that! We were both in the gym last night, so we both gottan alibi!
[Talking to other, trying to calm them down] God, man, you're sweating bullets y'know! J-just breathe, alright? And… Man, don’t look at me like that...
Nagamine Takahiro - The Ultimate Composer - A symphony composer whose works are known worldwide, Nagamine is well accustomed to life in high society. Though reserved and mysterious, she is still highly manipulative of others, often without them even noticing. She doesn't enjoy harming others directly, but is still incredibly selfish and vain. Looking for a teen or young woman who can deliver a voice as a snooty, manipulative, and elegant woman with her fame at the forefront of most conversations.
[elegantly] I am the one and only Nagamine Takahiro (Nah-gah-mee-nay Tah-Ka-hee-roh), the legendary Ultimate Composer. Please, the pleasure is all mine.
[Angry] Do have a death wish?! Don’t you know who I am?
[Smirking] Even though you have an alibi for the time of the murder, given the circumstances, that doesn't exactly change anything, now does it, darling?
Sento Kabayashi - The Ultimate Pyrotechnic - An internet personality known for his incredibly dangerous stunts involving fire, Sento is loud and extremely fiery. He's almost always the most energetic person in the room, rivaling Chikagi for that title most of the time, and is constantly looking for adventure. Eventually, Sento becomes extremely valuing of his friends, doing anything to protect the group that came to accept him despite his loudness. Looking for an exceedingly loud and hyper voice actor.
[Casual and loud] I'm Sento Kabayashi (Sen-toh Kah-bah-yah-shee), the Ultimate Pyrotechnic! But do I really need an introduction? Everybody knows me!
[Calm, a bit aloof] Fire can really speak to you, and if you speak back to it, it will listen. You may think I'm crazy, but there's something 'bout it.
[Nervous, a bit irritated] Oh...you don't know me? I do all of these crazy stunts with fire, and I thought you’d at least...n-nevermind..
Boa Kitano - The Ultimate Thief - A cunning yet aloof masked man, Boa is the mastermind behind countless heists which made him a fugitive in any country you can name. Highly mysterious, he hides behind a mask and is incredibly wary of people asking personal questions in an effort to conceal his true identity. Looking for a voice actor who can give a mysterious over the top voice that tries its best to try to be edgy yet ultimately fail.
[Casual / Intimidating] What's up. I'm the Ultimate Thief. Don't ask anymore questions.
[Angry, then jokingly] I am not some petty street thief! Er, that may have came out wrong...
[Irritated] Augh, when can we get out of this dump. I'm missing out on the biggest damn heist of my life.
Kaiya Yokohama - The Ultimate Driver - A tomboyish figure known for stomping several street racing circles, Kaiya acts like a big sister to the group despite her dangerous occupation. She always tries to hold the cast together, and is able to sense and react when someone is acting strange. And unlike most of the other girls, Kaiya is more than willing to get her hands dirty for the sake of others. Looking for a voice actress with a tomboyish voice and is able to be an effective leader.
[Casual] Hiya, I’m Kaiya! Heh, that rhymed! Oh, and I’m the Ultimate Driver, too! Nice to meet ya!
[Angry] Guys I swear, I will turn this car around if you don’t stop fighting!
[Nervous] W-What happened to her? Is she alright? No, I-I think she’s not.
Yuzuka Tetsuya - The Ultimate Park Ranger - A park ranger who vehemently defends national parks from threats, Yuzuka is more than accustomed to life in the wilderness. She is incredibly agile and versed in combat. She is initially rude and stern to others, not showing much emotion, especially if they threaten the parks she protects, though quickly warms up to and befriends the main character. Looking for a stern but friendly female voice.
[Cold introduction] I’m the Ultimate Park Ranger, Yuzuka Tetsuya (You-zu-kah Tet-soo-yah). Stay away from nature and we won’t have a problem.
[Upset and angry] You think being a park ranger is a joke? I’ll show you how wrong you are.
[Laughing] Hmmph. This is what happens when you disrespect Mother Nature.
A punk girl fresh off the streets, Chikagi is the leader of a graffiti art gang whose works are found on every street corner of Osaka. She is a loudmouth and speaks her mind, while also being a bit too energetic. But she is incredibly dedicated to her work as a graffiti artist, and won't accept anyone who doesn't accept it as real art. Looking for a loud and exceedingly energetic female voice.
[Introduction] I'm freakin Chikagi Erika (Chee-Kah-Ghee Er-ee-cah), the Ultimate Graffiti Artist! I’d call it modern art myself, though!
Angry: What are you sayin’ about me, you fuckin’ twink?!
Nervous: Oh...I messed up. But who gives a shit, amiright? Amiright?
Looking for editors with the ability to do or at least help with some of the following editing:
1. In-game motion editing, such as transitions and movement in trials, investigations, and regular gameplay, as well as other examples.
2. UI editing, such as implementing and designing a Danganronpa UI, be it loyal to the series or an original idea, and being able to edit it and integrate it.
3. Video editing, such as promotional material for social media, helping with body discoveries, and other types of related works.
