Project Overview

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone, and welcome to the official voice actor casting call for Danganronpa Hidden Destiny! 

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Danganronpa Hidden Destiny is an upcoming audio drama fangan that will be uploaded to Youtube to watch/listen to. 

The synopsis of this fangan revolves around Sarin Yozora, the Ultimate Detective. Sarin is trapped in a place called the College for Gifted Individuals, where she and 16 other students are forced to participate in a killing game by the crazy energetic fox headmaster, Kurosuke. 

Will Sarin be able to bear the pain of finding the truth in times of despair? Or will despair inflict eternal pain among her and the crew with the truth being lost forever?

PROGRESS AS OF NOW

The Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 are all complete. Chapter 3 is still in development, yet is almost done. The outline for murders, the whole story, etc. is all planned out.

Sprites and Pixel Sprites are in development. 

Headshots of the characters you see for the roles are NOT final, yet are there for reference.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Since this is an audio drama, this is a FULLY voiced project, so be prepared for a lot of lines, and be wary that executions WILL be voiced as well. 

REQUIREMENTS

You MUST have a good microphone. Avoid peaking, white noise, popping, and reverb/echoing.

You MUST provide your discord so you can be contacted for if you are casted.

This is a NON PROFIT fan project that is NOT affiliated with Spike, NISA, nor Kodaka.

This project contains content that some may find disturbing, including mentions of blood, violence, etc. Please be wary of the potential contents of this project before auditioning.

Sarin is the sweetest and smartest detective ever, she’s willing to help out with everything just to make people smile, and it isn’t that hard for Sarin to give kindness to strangers and help them out.

Her first case was actually a murder, it was a bit overwhelming for her but she managed to find the culprit and sent them off to jail, but something was weird about the culprit. He had something in their eyes that scared her to death, colors of despair. No, it's more than despair, desperate to be free because the victim deserved it. Sarin was shocked to hear his testimony in court so she felt bad for the culprit but she had a job to do.

How the voice should sound: Sarin has a Medium Low toned voice, she has a calm yet intelligent way of talking when around others, especially since she is a detective

  • I am Sarin Yozora, I'm the detective assigned to this case by the police department. Please direct me to the crime scene.

  • (Analytical) The ballistic markings of this bullet match with the gun discovered in the trash can in the kitchen. Death was instant as a result of the bullet being shot through the victims head as the autopsy states. 

  • (Threatening) STOP! You're herby being taken into custody by order of the agency, do NOT use force as it will be accounted against you. You have the right to remain silent.

Yuu Himikura [You He-me-ku-ra] Ultimate Idol

Yuu is a very generous person, he did a show to help out with a sickness around his home city and he raised over ten thousand dollars and he wasn’t done there, he also did a charity concert for homeless people so they have a chance to live life at the healthiest, he raised sixty thousands dollars to help out one family that he knew for the longest time. He would treat that family as his own and he has a little brother and sister named Yuko and Sori, he would often help Sori with vocal lessons because she looked up to him as a brother, not an idol.

His personality is gentle, helpful, kind and stubborn sometimes. If he sees someone in need, he will take it personally and help them to the best of his abilities to make them feel better again.

How the voice should sound: Yuu has a soft medium high toned voice, there is charisma in his voice, yet can be gentle at times too.

**Singing in the audition is optional yet would fit for Yuu's talent. Feel free to add a singing part if so.**

  • (Caring) I really hope you're doing ok, if it will raise your spirits, come to my show tomorrow night. I usually draw a crowd of thousands! I think you'll find it entertaining if you ask me.

  • (Cocky) Oh come on, I was just teasing. I'm not entirely a jerk you know, but I'll stop if it's getting too much. We can maybe talk about something different that won't lead to me teasing too much, heheheh!

Yuki is a cold hearted jerk who has little to no sympathy for others. He is very condescending and plays the tough guy almost all throughout. He keeps his past scarce from others, so not much is known about him.

How the voice should sound: Yuki has a sharp medium low toned voice, basically a threatening aura when he speaks.

  • (Threatening) You back the fuck up right now punk, you have no clue who you are dealing with, and you do not wanna know who it is you are dealing with. Now step away NOW!

  • (Teasing) HA! You think you can get anything out of that? Well bud, I'll level with you just this once. You can't perform such a feat with that mindset, people like you don't get what they want when they take measures like that, so don't expect anything good out of this.

  • (Snotty) I don't care, I was made for this and I will do what I think is best for it. Don't get in my way if you know what's best for you, understood punk?

Kotori Fujisaku [Ko-tor-ee Fu-jee-sa-koo] Ultimate Guitarist

Kotori is cool, calm and sometimes sad but she’s happy until someone brings up her mom or what happened to her, she’s more than happy to talk about her, but if someone allows her to.

Kotori's journey as a guitarist started when her mother passed away, then she became more violent and angry towards people and she had depression for most of her life but when she heard Yuu’s song “Fly Close To Me” she fell in love with his voice and he saved her life, she picked up a guitar and started to teach herself and eventually did a cover of that song and a lot of people thought she was a beautiful musician.

How the voice should sound: Kotori has a medium toned voice, her voice is mother-like as if she sounded like someone you can rely on in times of discomfort.

  • (Addressing) This guitar here is state of the art quality at its finest. I've used it so many times, only to get across so much musical enjoyment in my life. I can play a song on it right now if you want.

  • (Caring) I will gladly stay here with you. Since you are struggling with life, I want to do everything in my power to make sure you get through whatever it is you may be dealing with. 

  • (Upset then Calm yet Melancholy) Why would you mention that?? I don't wanna talk about that, PLEASE just...... sorry...... you didn't know how I felt about that. Well, I can talk about it with you now if you want, that way you'll know for next time.

Jutaro Otonashi [Ju-tar-o O-to-na-she] Ultimate Mathematician

Jutarois very straightforward and consistent. Logic on his side, logical over emotional and mental. He’s a blade no one should mess with at all. Because he can cut you down in an instant. 

Jutaros time as a normal teacher began like any other, walking into the school saying hello to his co-workers all of the boring cliche stuff but Jutaro begins in his classroom, no interaction to be held. No friendships needed, only the whiteboard and a marker. That is his purpose. To teach the younger generation how to exceed in math so they have a bright future. But for Jutaro, his future was forced. Throughout his life he wanted to be a normal guy, working in a supermarket being himself but when he took the job as a bookkeeper, he fell in love with numbers and he grew to adore what number could hold, but that went away when he got a job at a school. Bored at his job he needed a restart.

How the voice should sound: Jutaro has a medium toned voice, he talks like he is very analytical and straightforward with logic and information.

  • (Analytical) There is a simple solution to the problem once you put these factors into it. It may be difficult to comprehend, but it makes sense once you further analyze the solution through and through again.

  • (Assisting) You can do this by simply taking the formula and subbing for what is equal to what in this problem. When you do that, you then solve the whole equation and get your answer to the problem. Practice this multiple times so you get the hang of it.

  • (Direct) There is no need to abuse the subject of math just because it does not agree with you. Yes, everyone has a weakness in a field, but math is important in life, as it tests your problem solving skills in the form of numbers, thus helping your intelligence get better. Trust me on this, as I am a professional in my own domain.

Mio is energetic and very caring to the group and she really cares about siblings because of what happened to her. She allows herself to use two magic spells a day, only because she doesn’t want to collapse if she uses too much magic for the day. 

This magic user comes from the Hinatara family, when she was fifteen, her brother went missing and she still looks for her brother till this day. She only wants her loving and caring brother back, because it’s all she has left. But when she got a phone call from a certain someone who told her that he died, she settled out to find him. It’s odd that someone would give her a phone call but she set out to find him, only a small bag was necessary as she casted a magic spell to only find out, the voice was right. He is really dead. With defeat hanging in her soul she fell onto the ground and felt helpless.

How the voice should sound: Mio has a High toned voice, she is very energetic and bubbly around others.

  • (Performing) And NOW for the FINALE! For this act of the show, I will attempt to make my partner levitate with my own magical powers. Feast your eyes everyone, this will be WILD!

  • (Excited) Thank you, Thank you THANK YOU! I am so happy you came to watch me perform. It really takes a lot of practice to perfect my tricks, yet it all paid out in the end since it made you feel entertained.

  • (Shocked) Did I.... just do that? No.... way.... I cannot BELIEVE what I just did... I'm gonna remember this moment for the rest of my magical life!

Viktor’s very flirty when it comes to the ladies but he doesn’t like men at all, but he is cool and collected until pissed off and he doesn’t have a real gun but he has the finger guns!

Viktor started his tiny reign by working for the well known group then getting let go for killing the wrong target and almost killed a young girl, but he always twisted the rules to suit his needs once he left the group he started his own group called ‘DemonicKins’, he allowed people to join only if they looked to be twisted for pleasure but once he realized he’s been doing wrong he wants redemption so he gave all of his money to the victims and he donated the rest to a smaller group.

How the voice should sound: Viktor has a medium toned voice with a Russian accent, he is charismatic when being spoken too usually, as well as chill.

  • (Flirty) Dear lady, may I perhaps escort you to where you are going? You look concerned all alone, and I wanna be a gentlemen by making you feel safe around here. Trust me, I'll deal with any twerp that tries to mess with you.

  • (Snarky) I do not wish to associate with you, please take your leave as I have standards which cannot be met by someone like you. If you wish not to comply, then it is a request to me that you wish to be dealt with in a way you wish you would not wanna be dealt with.

  • (High and Mighty) For the glory of the gang, we will not tolerate this madness any longer. Together as one, we will reign supreme with our forces and appropriate mindsets. We will rise UP!

Anko has a fiery personality of pairing couples incorrectly or crushing peoples dreams of getting the perfect person. 

Anko had a good relationship which ended pretty bad, the man hated her more than she hated herself. They broke up by not accepting who they are and it pushed Anko over the edge and it broke her mentally so she tried helping other people by crushing their dreams and it can be considered as vice-versa or revenge for what the ex did to Anko and she was happy with her life after that, she doesn’t need love to be happy. It’s the experience of telling the person they’re feelings and boy does it feel great to her. 

How the voice should sound: Anko has a low high toned voice, basically a lowkey jerk type of voice.

  • (Rude) I have nothing to tell you except you'll never be right for anybody. People won't love you romantically, they'll just use you for fame and fortune. Don't fuck with anyone darling. people are despicable human beings.

  • (Bratty) I don't care how you feel, you yourself took the risk to love. In the end, you yourself are the reason your heart is broken. Just stop being a whiny little bitch and move on. Life only sticks around for you once you know.

  • (Furious) Stop caring for me... WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TELLING ME TO BE POSITIVE??? I find your efforts to talk nice to me fucking BULLSHIIIIIITTT!!!! Now get your sorry ass and pathetic advice out of my face RIGHT NOW!

Kaji has a lot of pride and happiness, he works out everyday to maintain his structure and stamina if anyone is in trouble or needs a helping hand.

Kaji always wanted to be a hero, he felt like he needed to do something to help out the community because of what they did for him. When he was younger Kaji was alone, scared, and hungry. One day a group of people came around him and the group gave him enough food to fill him up and they gave him a place to stay, a place to feel at home and that inspired him to be who he is now. Kind, strong, and courageous Kaji didn’t need to feel fear anymore because of what happened to him, his life was changed forever.

How the voice should sound: Kaji has a medium low tone, he talks with confidence and pride as a result of his work.

  • (Heroic) Do not worry! I am coming right now! Everyone stand back, I must run to that young fellow who looks to be in trouble. Stay CLEAR! I repeat, STAY CLEAR!

  • (Full of Pride) It is my duty to serve and rescue those who are in dire need of it. If nobody is there for them, then the outcome will not be good. Everyone needs a hero in their lives, and I'm the right man for the job whenever they are in danger.

  • (Desperate) I need a medical kit on the double. I'll perform what I must to ensure this fellow person is in good hands. If they aren't breathing properly, I will go mouth to mouth.

Ren Kuroni [Ren Kur-oni] Ultimate Food Critic

Ren has a calming and sweet nature at times, but can sometimes be snotty out of random.

Ren always loved food and always will. He had a very complex palate when he was young and he could have very classy meals and desserts like a beef wellington or a shrimp salad with cocktail sauce, along those lines and he would give an honest review of the food. Because of his honesty, his family sent him to culinary school to teach college students when he was seventeen years old. The school trusted his judgement because he was the critic that would be brutally honest and willing to lend a helping hand if they needed it.

How the voice should sound: Ren has a medium low tone voice, he is less shy and more ambitious. But when Ren snaps, he sounds more wild while keeping the same tone.

  • (Critical) I have had enough, this platter is undercooked and lacks any consistency. I would like to speak to the head chef of this establishment. Nothing makes me more annoyed than the disappointment in managing the kitchen of a restaurant.

  • (Informative) You have to at least put more of a spicy seasoning to this, it's what makes it complete. Basically, it's what makes it the food it is said to be. You can find the right spices at a farmers market if I remember correctly.

  • (Sharp) Don't act like you're high and mighty bud, you are living a lie if you think you can run an establishment like this. What? I remind you of HIM? Don't ever compare me to that guy ever again, you know what? I'll shut you down for saying that, how about that?

Hikaru Obano has a secret that no one else knows, she knows all magical beings in the world and it's her job to know it all.

Her knowledge of magical items can be considered deadly to anyone in the magic industry. They should run while they can but she is really invested in the magical arts, she even owns a library of all of her notes from Merlin to Houdini she’s got it covered. Although her past is sad because her parents abandoned her for loving and believing in magic and she drove her family to the point they just left. Hikaru continued to grow as an individual and she became independent. 


How the voice should sound: Hikaru has a high medium tone voice, she is soft and straight to the point, she will rush people to get something done.

  • (Eager) I MUST know! You have to tell me everything sir! How is this magical ritual of yours done? It is my joy to find all that is magical among us! No matter what people might say, the power of magic can exist in this world.

  • (Engaged) Houdini? I admire the man so much. He is my favorite person in magic history to talk about it. David Blaine? Oh boy.... I could write a theoretical thesis about that guy on how he does his magic. It's god like to be honest, so he earns my respect.

  • (Analytical) Magic is not something you can easily explain, it's history proves that those people have practiced various things to make it a reality. In this world, anything is possible as long as you dedicate your heart to it.

If Jun can kick some hardcore ass, he would beat you into a cement block and leave you.

Jun has a lot of reputation but he completely ignores it and focuses on himself and worries about his inner spirit and his mental state more than what he really does as a person. His teacher is strict but Jun is very aware of how strict she really is but there is no true perfection. He is true to himself and forever will be. Jun will always be Jun no matter what people tell him. During his training he learned that he doesn’t only have an inner spirit but he has the fighting spirit to save others when he needs to lend a hand to help.

How the voice should sound: Jun has a medium tone voice, he speaks in way that you can tell he is a wise helpful person.

  • (Wise) Young fellow, it is not healthy to keep holding on to a rope. Sometimes, it hurts more to hold on than to let go. You let your pain heal and move on with your life, but you must never give up on what you truly want to accomplish. 

  • (Fighting) KYAH! Your skills are building up young one, but you need push harder! Keep on pushing it, GRIND IT! YAAHHH!!!

  • (Proud) You have done it good one, I present you with the highest honors I can bestow upon you. You are truly worthy of your title, and are ready to take on what challenges you may face out there. Until then, keep fighting.

Tsubasa is a gentle soul with a big dream.

Tsubasa always wanted to bake, she took classes with her cousin Misoka who is talented with owning a cafe. Misoka is considered to be the Ultimate Barista but we’re not going to focus on Misoka. Tsubasa works for Misoka so she gets to learn new recipes everyday and new ways to help with the cafe overall and she’s ready to serve the customers as well so she can shine in and out of the kitchen.

How the voice should sound: Tsubasa has a high medium tone voice, she is very gentle and innocent, but also very cheery and optimistic.

  • (Delighted) This is the sweetest thing I've EVER tasted! It's texture and flavor are top notch and worthy of satisfying someone's sweet tooth, especially mine! I am honored to be eating this delicious creation that I have in front of me.

  • (Instructing) You have to let the dough rest there for a while, then when it's done you can use it to prepare the pastry. The sugar will go on after, otherwise it will infuse into it. Once that's done, let it cool off and you are good to go.

  • (Tired) It's been a long day, it was all worth it though. When I get to make things I love, then I can never be burnt out at it. I do deserve some rest though, so I'll close up now and greet a new day tomorrow after a well deserved rest.

Hinata Ayani [Heh-nah-ta Uh-ya-nee] Ultimate Librarian

Hinata’s shyness is adorable but it comes with a cost.

Hinata was always a shy bookworm and he’s still in college and it scares Hinata that the jocks bully Hinata for reading so much so he takes classes online and for a part time job he works at a cat cafe and he is the most appreciated waiter there. His kindness and shyness can almost keep himself happy. His biggest flaw is his love of reading, he usually brings about four different series at a time to read when he goes back to his dorm and he often allows the official librarian to go home early or he’ll take over for a while. Putting books away is one of his favorite things to do because the library is calming for him and it's a coping mechanism. Even if he has a happy daily life he has a piece of his spirit that lingers with him as a bad thought, one day as he was closing up the library a group of upperclassmen heard some nasty rumor and the group asked him if he did what the rumor was and that was ‘were you a girl?’ and he answered ‘yes’, the group that walked up to him then verbally and physically assaulted Hinata for being non-binary. He prefers being a male rather than a female.

How the voice should sound: Hinata has a medium tone voice, he is very shy and introverted, stutters sometimes, and can be insecure at times too.

  • (Shy) H-Hey... I was w-wondering if you had the time t-to help me clean up tonight. I-I have time, so hopefully you can stick a-around and help. B-But I-if you're busy tonight, t-then I won't hold it against you!! I just wanted to ask, t-that's all!

  • (Upset) Stop! I cannot put up with this! *sob* T-This is getting out of hand, a-and you should know better to not m-mess around! I'll literally do anything t-to make you stop! J-Just show mercy!

  • (Intelligent) This book here is a Jr. High level book, but is very good regardless. It revolves around a kid who digs holes at a camp for a wrongdoing he committed. I think you'd like it, so you should read it when you have the chance.

Chiyo Yuzuki [Che-yo You-zu-key] Ultimate Novelist

Chiyo is a type that sits in a comfortable corner and writes all day long.

Chiyo always believed in the power of conversations and words rather than actions, when she was in college she had to write a six page essay on color theory for her artist psychology class and she spent four days on it writing on it and fixing it herself and making sure that it’s up to her professors standards and to get a perfect score. At least that was her goal and she managed to do it and she got a valedictorian and she got to write a speech for the principal of the college and it moved everyone.

How the voice should sound: Chiyo has a medium high tone voice, she is a ball of sunshine and social anxiety yet is hard working in her studies.

  • (Pleading) You HAVE to tell me what to do for this! I can't just sit here and take this NONSENSE of a grade! I need to meet the criteria completely, and I'll literally do ANYTHING not to have the score I have now. So please! Hit me with whatever it is I need to do!

  • (Busy) It isn't really a good time to start conversations with me right now... well, uh, it's because I'm hard at work right now. W-What is it that's so important to you that I need to know that takes time away from what's most important to me?

  • (Pleased) This is the stuff, I can take this. I've performed well enough to see this thing go places. To celebrate, I'll go and read a new novel. I think I'll read this one series for fun about vampires.

Haru Mitsukino [Ha-ru Meet-su-key-no] Ultimate Artist

Haru’s sense of mind is extraordinary and unique.

Haru’s dream was to help out a charity that was in desperate needs of redecorating the whole building so as a beginning project he planned the whole designing process of a three story house and painted the whole building and after he was done with the house, about three weeks later he got the approval to redecorate his dream charity and the charity is called ‘High Hopes For Children’, its an orphanage that allows children to learn under the nearest school and to allow children to go into foster care and having a home for these kids was the source of Haru’s happiness.

How the voice should sound: Haru has a soft medium tone voice, he is much calmer and more relaxed. Basically very chill to be around at all times.

  • (Calm) It was a long time that it took me to get my work done for the gallery, but in the end it all payed off. Slow and steady wins the race, that's what I think to myself when I work on art, because when I apply that to my art, the final product will eventually look good.

  • (Proud) You mean my work was so good that you wanna promote it at a local art museum? Wow, that's the best thing I have heard all day today. I will happily agree to your offer, it boosts my morale as an artist very much.

  • (Addressing) When you work on a piece, color is a prime factor in artistic knowledge. It's a kaleidoscope which can be implemented into many things depending on your perception of something. Unless you prefer to make it colorless, then that's ok too.

Kurosuke [Kur-oh-skay]

Kurosuke is the headmaster of the killing game. He is a black puffy fox who is the same as any other mascot, crazy and energetic. So nobody needs to ask the question "What does the fox say" to this wild thing. We pretty much know already at this rate since he talks at all.

How the voice should sound: Kurosuke has a nasally high tone voice, he is full of a ton of energy and will not hold back.

  • (Maniacal) HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! You will all feel the TRUE POWER OF PAIN AND DESPAIR!
