Danganronpa Delta (Fangame)
Project Overview
To keep things brief without spoiling our roadmap and script: Danganronpa Delta is a fangame set in the Danganronpa V3 Universe in which the Killing Games are broadcasted for entertainment with a unique setting and cast for every game. In our new project we would like to expand on this and make our own lore and history extending onto the history of Hope's Peak in this universe and additionally where some of the members that sign up come from which directly ties into themes of psychological horror and trauma as the cast overcome these difficulties in the name of hope against an everlasting battle with despair.

Norika is a good person at hard, but has struggled with her emotions since youth. Because of this, she can come off as indifferent, carefree and cryptic at times, not being able to express herself very well despite an awkward smile or way of wording her thoughts. She still cares for people and has friends, but making new friends has become a troubling experience. During trials, however, she’s on a gradual adrenaline rush— more concerned with getting the necessary excitement that could lead to the eventual recovery of her emotions.
The voice for this character is reminiscent of characters like Kyoko Kirigiri-- typically composed, flat and with a polite ring to it.
"You guys can bring your heads out of the clouds now."
"What's a lawyer going to do in a tour?"
"I've been studying friendship for months, it didn't say anything about giving out fragments."
Jean is a sympathizing student who, although a bit awkward in conversation, ultimately means well and cares for his fellow talent-havers. He tries to sort out situations from all angles and doesn’t try to take sides, although he will be more inclined with someone who doesn’t find him crazy. He’s a bit more in-touch with death and mortality than most people in that he wouldn’t care if he, or the world, met its end. He’s forgetful and can repeat himself sometimes. He gets angry often. Jean enjoys listening to others ramble about the things they’re passionate about. Because Jean has deprecated himself over and over over having a sheltered life and having no experience in the real world, he tries not to ramble or suggest any ideas, at first. There's more to him than what meets the eye.
The voice of this character is similar to Felix from the Re:Zero series for reference, not sounding too familiar but the voice actor needs to be very expressive and capable of showing raw emotion.
"Hmm, what a nice lobby! Hope's Peak Academy must be even better than it is in the papers!"
"Do I know you, monsieur?"
"Shut up! I believed in a false reality once, I can do it again!"
When Ayase was young, she didn't understand why other kids weren't able to sense the colors of sounds and other things. She eventually realized that she wasn't normal, but came to accept her condition. Well, actually, more than just accepting-- she became attached to it! Ayase became obsessed with colors and started to collect things relating to it to make her life more colorful.
The voice for this character is naturally soft and timid, but has comedic moments of expressiveness.
"I-I didn't do anything!"
"Nooooo! Ahuhuhuhuh.. "
"All of these people.. they're gray and indigo."
Outgoing, bright, charismatic, Miki is a bright ray of sunshine. But she’s also a goofball. She’ll say and do stupid things because it’d be funny. “It’s funny” is the reason she does a lot of things, actually— alternatively, she’ll also do things because she’s stupidly curious. She’ll often explore interests and try new things out just because she’s never done that before.
The voice of Tachibana should be as bright and engaging as the character herself.
"I always have a dog with me."
"I'm more of a dog person than a people person. Dogs are what I do!"
"I mean, doesn't school totally suck?"
Kaneha is a hot-headed young girl with a sharp tongue but she definitely has a more caring side to her, however, despite her careful side she tends to have a more cowardly side to her. An all bark, no bite kind of girl she is and she’s left frozen whenever confronted overly aggressively and such and doesn’t know what to truly say, left in a stalemate somewhat. She manages to keep a rather graceful and elegant poise despite her core personality. She has an outstanding mastery of self-discipline and is very strict and far too accustomed to the strict nature of her Okiya back in Kyoto City.
Her voice should have a mature air to it, but is still realistic for someone her age.
"You seem like a well-kept man."
"Do not apologize. This is a strong to swallow, let alone handle."
"I -- yes, seems like it. We might as well proceed."
Kaneko’s outward personality is calm, laid-back, and fun. She cherishes getting along with people and tries her best to be accommodating. Likewise, she seldom gets angry, and has a hard time asserting herself in tense environments. This is all due to a deep-rooted inferiority complex within her; she will bend over backwards in order to make people happy. If people like her, then she likes herself. If people don’t like her, then she hates herself. This side of her would only ever be shown to someone extremely close to her.
"Would've had me fooled..."
"It's a little overwhelming, meeting all these people at once, admittedly."
"My talent is kind of lame compared to the other ones here."
Despite appearing immature and unfit to take on what the world demands, preferring simple pleasures and menial labor to society at large. Meifeng is incredibly motivated when jeopardy ends up at her doorstep. She generally attempts to be polite, but shows signs of being clueless and consequently airheaded if someone is not there to tell her the meaning behind certain actions. Her attitude toward life is old-fashioned due to most of the people around her being from a far older generation. Meifeng does not want for very much but feels like crying when no-one is there to give advice or tell her what to do. Furthermore, she is convinced of her own greatness and this determination has brought her success in the ring from an entertainment standpoint. Meifeng must learn to get by on her own if she is to develop as a person.
The voice of Meifeng should have a gruff tone to it.
"I'm Wu Meifeng, also known as The Great Tarantula!"
" -- eeh? How did you bring in a dog?"
"Are you serious? I actually wanted to go to school!"
Junna is best described as a distant person that seems like they’re off in their own world or constantly tired to a point of smiling in contentment over the smallest things, this laidback attitude is also accompanied by a strange sense of apathy to most facets of life, the best way to describe this mix is someone who takes pleasure in the trivial parts of life but never focuses on the bigger picture, like a dreamer content on laying down in a field to themselves. Internally there isn’t much contrary to her exterior attitude, she doesn’t particularly adore facades but her lackadaisy attitude causes situations to either be mishandled or neglected in their time of need in exchange for pleasures.
"Please, oh please! There's no reason to be so formal you know. Nice to meet you all, you can call me Junna."
"Sensei, eh? That doesn't sound too bad I'm sure we're in great hands!"
" I'm just a custodian, you know, a janitor. ~ "
Rui is an outgoing and fun-loving girl, who will do just about anything to catch someone’s attention. She doesn’t necessarily care for what is right and wrong; rather, only cares for what pleases another party. She is outspoken, often flirtatious and perverted, and seems to be advertising her business at any point in time.
Her voice is meant to be more high-pitched, she makes a lot of cutesy noises to appeal to her audience.
"Nori-onee-chan, would you pwease carry me?"
"No way! I need to be online, like, right nyaaow!"
"Oh, hello, meow! I'm Ruichan! Want to hear about the premium package?"
Haruhi is good-natured and considers himself as a polite individual for those who are in need of consolation. Despite his overall beliefs in friendliness, however, he is unfortunately known to be anxious, shying away from the phobia of being stared at more often than not. Because of this, it has led to several accounts of the boy finding himself terror-stricken when overwhelmed, and even prone to snapping upon being moody. However, past all these glum conditions, he regularly finds himself reminded of who he is according to his ‘inner voice’, and is shown to be resolute in his diligence as a successor. From this sole reminder alone, Katagiri can be seen as strong-willed and tries to not let those who carry a negative impression on him hinder his work. When lost, he becomes rather intuitive and takes the answer that he believes suits best for him or everyone. As eccentric and hardworking as he is though, Haruhi considers himself as just a ‘boy’ who does everything for the Headmaster and carries a lack of self-esteem due to his limitations from his anxiety and goes as far as to doubt himself heavily. However, his inner voice would occasionally (and dully) chime in, and lecture him to focus on his goal of becoming a worthy successor.
This voice would have a meek tone and a very soft mannered way of speaking, rather timid.
" A-Ah, I'm so sorry, I got distracted... ah, uhm... it's nice to meet you..! "
" I don't have anything peculiar on my mind, to be honest. I kind of roll with what I'm doing. "
" I'll... politely decline your offer, then. "
He’s a semi-optimistic, calm, and reserved nihilist. No matter who you are, he’ll treat you the same as everyone else. He’s not hiding beneath some mask or whatever, he just thinks it’s pointless to trouble yourself and others with emotional differences.
Expect a raspy and soothing voice for this character with that tone of ominous comfort.
" You could say that. It seems like you know more than others though. "
" ... So you also choose to stand back and allow water to flow its course? "
" Scandalous - of course. Let's see what we're getting use to, then. The crowd is slowly dispersing, so it's best we don't fall back. "
Seto is enigmatic and somewhat detached. He can be somewhat philosophical and inquisitive, keeping a friendly persona but harboring a very closed off personality that most can't really uncover his true intentions. His true aims are a mystery to most, but he's a relatively nice guy. His morals and priorities are set straight, he has acts of kindness that are very different from what some would consider kind. For example, if someone were to find a starving kitten they would take it in and nurture it back to full health. Seto on the other hand would understand it's struggle and put it out of it's misery; he feels the same way about human life as he's had to make the hard decision of whether to let go or not before.
This voice would likely be gentle but distant, well mannered and composed.
" I've got explanations, and you may call me 'Seto Katsuro'. "
" -Yes, all questions are welcome. "
" What's your name, young lady? "
Stoic, Strict, and very, very pragmatic.
A fierce tone is useful for this one, but also one that derails and interlinks casual conversation with authority.
" If I may, is it fine if I adjourn here, if temporary? "
" Well, that's very grand. I would be visibly interested in attending such a performance one day.. er, I believe someone has lately arrived? "
" I feel like I've been transported to a Sex Pistols premiere. "
A strong dumbo, essentially not murderously violent but can be if he is angry/wants too. But otherwise often someone who’ll talk to someone if they want to or feel the need too, otherwise keeping to himself as he discovers new things.
An ogreish voice would give this character the boom and unique charm it needs.
" Did you know? Human feet used to be hands. "
" When are we going to move? "
" Yes hurry up. "
Enjiro is very energetic! He’s big and he knows it, he loves to show everybody that he’s open and cheerful. He doesn’t want to seem unapproachable at all and makes a very genuine effort in trying to make friends, even if they’re the most undesirable of people. Sometimes that attitude gets him in trouble, but he does his hardest to make the best of every situation possible.
He is very tough, especially emotionally and mentally. He has a hard time taking genuine insults seriously, and instead offers to be your friend or help you instead. Even the worst of the worst that hits him doesn’t affect him. Not even inwardly. He refuses to admit he’s weak and instead opts to stay positive and try to change things for the better rather than wallow in it.
The voice of a gentle giant is needed for this one!
" Well - you're the first person I've talked to here! I'm Enjiro Ootori, it's nice to meet you, too! "
" A-Ah-- yeah, he's said that... thank you though! I'm sure I can keep improving, but I'm super focused on dancing and stuff. "
Tsukuru is a lively and intelligent individual who's emotionally honest and always in a pleasant tone which spreads his passion and honorable history down to it's roots which he takes immense pride in.
This kind of voice is likely incredibly kind but always with a smile and energy. Confidence.
"... The place's got you interested or something, miss? "
" Shine's pretty captivating, isn't it? You think the metal's special, even? "
