Danganronpa: Chance Time
Project Overview
Hello everyone! I’m Rezu, the director and creator of Danganronpa: Chance Time, and I’m currently looking for voice actors interested in bringing the cast to life!
Danganronpa: Chance Time is my own unique take on the Danganronpa franchise, centered around a killing game taking place within the Chance Time Casino. The story takes heavy inspiration from Chinese mythology and folklore, weaving those elements into the casino, its history, and the mysteries surrounding the killing game.
The project has been in development for a couple of months now, and while I’ll admit that it is still in its early stages, a lot of work has already gone into developing its characters, story, setting, and overall direction. I’m hoping to find people who are interested in joining me as the project continues to grow!
A Few Things to Know
I ask that all voice actors auditioning for the project be 18 years old or older.
Chance Time is set primarily within a casino, and the characters themselves are adults of legal drinking age. Alcohol, gambling, death, violence, and other mature subjects will appear throughout the game. Because of the nature of the project and its content, I am personally not comfortable having minors working on the project with me.
Auditioning
You are welcome to audition either here or through the Chance Time Discord server!
When submitting your audition, please include:
Your age
The program/software you use to record
Your Discord username
Your audition recording(s)
The majority of production and communication for Chance Time will be handled through Discord, so you will need to have a Discord account if you are selected for a role.
Most importantly, have fun with your audition! I’m excited to finally start bringing voices to these characters, and I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s interpretations of them.
You are allowed to audition for multiple people. :D
Thank you for checking out Danganronpa: Chance Time, and good luck with your auditions! 🎰🎲

A polite and refined individual who always treats others with respect... that is until hes out of view. Calm, charming, and articulate, but surprisingly ruthless when their pride is on the line.

(Annoyed) I am not your 'bro.' I am Pikku, and you will address me as such.
(caught by surprise) What in blazes?!
(Sharp) Yes, where I'm from we talked using carefully chosen words and expressions, which I think you, Ms. Miyuki, should be more careful with yourself. You're like an open book.
A headstrong girl with a rebellious streak and a soft spot for her best friend.
Blunt, stubborn, and never afraid to speak her mind, she often comes across as abrasive. But beneath that rough exterior is someone fiercely protective of the people she cares about.
------------------------------
She's a Mid to high. I imagine her voice as someone who sounds far more mature than she lets on. Direct, sharp, and matter of fact, with swearing that feels completely natural rather than forced. When speaking to the people she cares about, her voice noticeably softens.

(Abrubt) I'm gonna stop you right there. I know you wanna do the whole small talk thing, but I'm a little more concerned with how the fuck we got here.
(Annoyed) Still no. You're coming with us whether you like it or not. You woke up with me, now you're my problem.
(Concerned, panic into gentle) Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you? (pause) You're sure? I was wondering where you went and-
A charismatic showman who exudes confidence. He frequently slips between English and Spanish (Spanglish), so the actor should be comfortable delivering both naturally. Despite his larger than life personality, he knows when to drop the act and become serious.
------------------------------
Mid to low. Smooth, confident, and effortlessly charming. He should sound like someone who's always performing for an audience, with plenty of energy and personality, while still being capable of delivering sincere, grounded moments when the situation calls for it.

(Flamboyant) Hola, cariño, guess that means introductions are in order, hm? The name's Theo Fiuz, magician extraordinaire and devilishly handsome performer.
(Skeptical) Riiiiight. You expect me to believe that? Ay, por favor.
(Annoyed) I'd say so. I came here to perform, earn a little money, maybe enjoy the casino... not wake up wearing matching neck accessories with strangers.
An energetic circus performer who wears her heart on her sleeve. She's loud, expressive, and endlessly optimistic, always eager to meet new people and keep the conversation moving. While she can come across as childish or impulsive, she's surprisingly perceptive and isn't afraid to challenge people when she thinks they're wrong.
------------------------------
Mid to high. Bright, energetic, and full of personality. She should sound playful and theatrical, almost as if she's always putting on a show. Even when she's arguing, it should come across as passionate rather than malicious, with an infectious enthusiasm that makes her difficult to dislike.

(Exited) Oo oo! That means it's my turn. Hello there, ladies and lords! It's a pleasure to meet you!
(Bubbly) Oh! There's gonna be more people? New friends! New friends!
(Serious) Then why us? What could you possibly gain from gathering all of us here?
An apathetic realist who always expects the worst from the world. He comes across as detached, sarcastic, and far more interested in the contents of his flask than the people around him. Beneath that tired exterior, however, is someone surprisingly dependable. He's seen enough hardship that he no longer believes in dreams or happy endings, preferring to face reality head-on rather than cling to false hope.
------------------------------
any . Calm, tired, and dry, with a naturally sarcastic edge. He rarely raises his voice, even in tense situations, and should sound emotionally reserved rather than cold. Moments where he shows genuine interest or concern should feel subtle and earned, making them stand out from his otherwise indifferent demeanor.

(Wanting to leave) Can't I just leave while you go play detective with the nice lady and gentleman?
(Teasing) You have a best friend? For someone with a mouth like yours, I'd think most people would steer clear.
(Matter a fact) Sounds to me like someone I can understand. Just because you're in the same place at the same time doesn't make you friends.
A quiet, soft, spoken young woman who often struggles to get her words out, frequently stuttering or hesitating before she speaks. She's incredibly kind and thoughtful, preferring to gently mediate conflicts rather than argue. While she may come across as timid at first, she isn't afraid to stand her ground when something truly matters, showing a quiet confidence beneath her reserved demeanor.
------------------------------
Mid to high. Soft, gentle, and somewhat timid, with frequent but natural stutters that become less noticeable as she grows more comfortable. She should sound compassionate and patient, speaking calmly even in stressful situations. When she becomes serious, her voice should grow firmer without losing its warmth or kindness.

(Nervous) Ignore him, he's harmless. M-my… ahem My name is Ru Lucius. It's nice to meet you…i think.
(Mediating) I think she simply means these are new people. Perhaps a little courtesy would leave a better first impression.
(Hopeful) Is that praise?
A gentle giant with a calm, comforting presence. Soft-spoken and polite, he carries himself with the patience of someone who's always looking out for others. Although his kind demeanor might make him seem timid, he's surprisingly assertive when the situation calls for it and isn't afraid to voice his opinions. Whether he's offering advice, breaking up an argument, or simply chatting over a cup of tea, he has a way of making those around him feel at ease.
------------------------------
Any. Warm, gentle, and reassuring with a relaxed pace. He should sound approachable and compassionate, but capable of becoming firm and confident without ever raising his voice. His kindness should feel genuine rather than naIve, giving the impression of someone who's emotionally mature and dependable.

(Out of Breath) S-sorry I…huf…was trying to ask him if he knew how we got here but….he started running away as soon as he saw me…
(Gently Bartering) He seems a bit uncomfortable. Can you please let go?
(Comforting) Don't take it to heart, Ms. Miyuki. He's just a little shy. He was quite sheltered growing up, and from what I can tell he usually keeps everyone at arm's length... Despite caring so much about the well-being of others.
A Stereotypical mean girl. She speaks formally but in a relaxed, natural way, and isn't afraid to show exactly how she feels. Snippy, opinionated, and quick to call people out, she has little patience for nonsense and isn't afraid to make that known.
She's confident, charismatic, and often comes across as intimidating, but beneath the attitude is someone who truly cares about the people around her, even if she'd never admit it outright.
------------------------------
Mid to low range. Confident, relaxed, and effortlessly snarky. Think less refined socialite and more popular girl who's used to getting her way. She should sound naturally charismatic with plenty of attitude, delivering insults and sarcastic remarks as if they're the most obvious thing in the world. Even during serious moments, her confidence should never disappear.

(Condescending) You know what this place is? This is the Hotel district! I was not where I was last I remember.

friendly, talkative, and always trying to keep everyone's spirits up. He copes with stressful situations through jokes and humor, often making himself the butt of the joke if it means someone else smiles. Although he's a bit of a coward, he has a good heart and genuinely wants everyone to get along.
------------------------------
Mid-high. Expressive, energetic, and easy to talk to. This role requires an actor who can naturally switch between lighthearted humor, believable panic, and emotional vulnerability. Frequent shouting and screaming are required, so please make sure you're comfortable performing loud emotional scenes without excessive microphone clipping or distortion. If possible, I'd also love to hear a few different types of screams at the end of your audition!

An energetic country girl who loves just about anything involving horses. Chipper, outgoing, and endlessly optimistic, she always tries to brighten the mood no matter the situation. Despite her cheerful attitude, she is much more sensitive than she lets on, often blaming herself when things go wrong. Fiercely loyal to her family and friends, she'll always put the people she cares about before herself.

(Boasting) Now hold on, I work just as hard as you do. I'm Employee of the Month over in Outdoor, thank you kindly.
(Admitting shes wrong) Ah, shoot. Reckon you've got a point. Sorry 'bout that, ma'am. I get around my family and sometimes forget my manners.
(Offended then Challenging) DIA! I'm plenty good at making friends. Bet I can introduce myself to more people than you can.
Polite, dependable, and surprisingly easy to talk to. Shun tends to speak frankly and isn't afraid to say exactly what he's thinking, though he rarely intends to be rude. He naturally looks after the people around him, often taking on an older-brother like role when someone needs help or reassurance. Despite his mature demeanor, he has a playful side and enjoys the occasional dry joke or bit of teasing.
------------------------------
Low-Mid. Calm, friendly, and mature without sounding overly stern or formal. he speaks very politely and generally keeps his composure, even under stressful circumstances. His actor should be able to balance his more dependable, reassuring side with his dry humor and occasional bluntness. He can be playful and casual around others, so avoid making him sound overly serious or emotionless please.

(Casual) Unfortunately, yes. Looks like whoever brought us here was kind enough to give me one as well.
(In pain but trying to not raise their voice) I apologize for approaching you without warning. I won't do it again. But... could you let me go? I'd quite like my arm back.
(Bargaining) Then how about this? Ms. Raina can greet the others while we continue to the security office. Does that sound fair?
Kindhearted, caring, and a little airheaded. Guest 12 naturally tends to look after the people around her, often reassuring others and trying to keep them from worrying too much. She's friendly and easygoing, sometimes to the point of being a little oblivious, and tends to see the best in the people around her. Despite her softer personality, she isn't afraid to put her foot down when someone she cares about is being unreasonable.
------------------------------
Mid-High. airy and with an accent. her voice should have a soft and somewhat floaty quality to it while still sounding like an adult. Her actor should be able to balance her caring nature with her more absent-minded and playful moments. While she's usually gentle and easygoing, she should still be capable of sounding firm or genuinely frightened when the situation calls for it.

(Firm) Coda, I know how you feel about meeting new people, but not everyone is out to hurt you, ya know. Besides, we can't do anything. I'm of the opinion that we should talk to everyone.
(Casual) Ah, well, I woke up at the bar with the Green Nature girl. We talked about nature. She said all the marble and gold made the place feel a little stiff.
(Bubbly) You heard her. Talk to you later, friends!
Levelheaded, friendly, and endlessly patient. Guest 13 is usually the mediator between his two sisters, often finding himself caught in the middle of their arguments and trying to keep things from getting out of hand. He's fairly easygoing and approachable, with a habit of saying exactly what comes to mind, even when he doesn't realize it might sound a little rude. Despite being the calmer of the three, Leo has his own playful side and cares deeply about the people around him.
------------------------------
Mid. Casual, youthful, and friendly. he should sound relaxed and easy to talk to rather than overly serious, with a natural warmth to his voice. His actor should be comfortable balancing his laid-back humor with moments where he needs to take control of a situation or mediate an argument. As the story progresses, he also experiences much heavier emotional moments, so the role requires someone capable of genuine anger, grief, and vulnerability.
(Fond) They aren't hotheads. They just get a little competitive. I promise they don't hate each other. That's just their way of showing they care.
(Alert) You two, quiet! Something's coming.
(Casual) Oh, hey! I've heard of you guys before. Shun the Card Wizard and the Shift Zombie.
Blunt, stubborn, and difficult to impress. she has very little patience for formalities and usually says exactly what she's thinking, regardless of how rude it might sound. She can be defensive and quick to snap when she's uncomfortable, but underneath the rough attitude she isn't actually unfriendly. Once she starts to relax around someone, she's much more playful and easygoing than her first impression would suggest.
------------------------------
Mid-Low. Rough, casual, and expressive. she should have a naturally grounded voice with a bit of edge to it, without sounding constantly angry or overly intimidating. Her actor should be comfortable with frequent swearing, sarcastic or irritated deliveries, loud laughter, and more aggressive emotional scenes.
(Defensive) Don't talk like I'm not here. It's my middle name, dumbass. I just prefer to go by it in competition.
(Cant contain their Laughter) BAHAHAHAHAH hah sorry sorry Its just that the image of you throwing him over your shoulder is just- Hahahahah.
(Irritated Casual) Greet my ass. I just woke up who the fuck knows where, and this bozo decided to greet me so... "cheerfully".
Charismatic, sociable, and incredibly confident this guy carries himself with the grace and politeness expected of a professional, often speaking more formally than the people around him. Despite this, he's far from uptight and has a playful, teasing side that comes out fairly quickly. He's naturally outgoing and enjoys taking charge in social situations, though his confidence can occasionally come across as a little overwhelming.
------------------------------
Mid. Smooth, expressive, and charismatic. He should sound polished and confident without becoming overly posh or theatrical. His actor should be able to naturally shift between his more formal way of speaking and his playful, energetic side.

(Friendly) Well, it's wonderful to meet you all! Considering the situation we're in, I'm afraid I couldn't offer you something to drink.
(Thoughtful) I considered it. But once the announcement promised answers, leaving felt... premature. If someone knew what was happening, I wasn't about to walk away from them.
(Skeptical) Although... was it just me, or did the voice on the speakers sound familiar? I... well... never mind. It's probably my imagination.
She is blunt, energetic, and incredibly expressive she tends to act first and think about the consequences afterward, often speaking exactly what's on her mind and wearing her emotions plainly on her face. She's sarcastic, stubborn, and occasionally a little awkward, but she's also naturally curious and quick to step in when she thinks someone needs help. Despite trying to brush things off with humor or attitude, she internalizes much more than she lets on and struggles with expressing her more vulnerable emotions directly.
------------------------------
Mid. Natural, expressive, and conversational. she should sound like an ordinary young woman, with a voice that can comfortably carry both comedic dialogue and much heavier emotional scenes. This is a very dialogue-heavy role and requires a wide acting range, including sarcasm, excitement, panic, anger, grief, shouting, and quieter vulnerability. Because she serves as the protagonist and narrator, strong emotional consistency and the ability to make internal thoughts feel natural are especially important.

(Customer Service voice -> Normal) Haha... yes, of course, sir. And no worries, we at Chance Time Casino are focused on making your stay the best it can be... And he's gone. Y'know, a ‘please’ would've been nice.
(Exited) HECK YEAH I WANNA DRIVE IT! IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION?! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!
(Defensive) H-Hey! In my defense, you were trying to touch my neck! ...It was self-defense!
Charming, theatrical, and deeply unsettling. He presents himself first and foremost as the proprietor of Chance Time Casino, treating the killing game with the same pleasant hospitality he would use when welcoming guests to a luxury resort. He's playful, smug, and enjoys having an audience, rarely raising his voice even when threatening or punishing someone. Beneath the showmanship, however, He is calculating and controlling, and his friendliness can turn frighteningly cold without warning.
------------------------------
Mid-Low. Smooth, charismatic, and theatrical without becoming excessively cartoonish. He should sound like a confident host who is completely in control of the room, with a polished warmth that can become threatening through delivery alone. His actor should be comfortable with long speeches, dramatic pauses, dark humor, commanding dialogue, and quieter emotional scenes later in the story.

(Calm Threat) Tut, tut, tut... There's no need to raise your voice, dear guest.
(Casual) Rule One. Respect me. Whether that respect comes from fear... admiration... or simple obligation... matters very little to me
(Host) Well then... that concludes tonight's orientation. It's getting rather late, and I'd hate to keep my guests awake any longer. Take this as your very first Nighttime Announcement. It is now... 10:00 PM. Sleep well... you'll need your rest.
Chance Time has a large number of smaller roles outside of the main cast, including casino guests, employees, background characters, and characters appearing in teasers and other scenes. Rather than making a separate casting call for every single one of them, I'm looking for a group of voice actors that I can pull from whenever additional voices are needed!
------------------------------
Any vocal range, accent, or voice type is welcome! There isn't a specific voice I'm looking for here, so feel free to have fun with your audition and show me what you can do.
For your audition, you can go ham! Describe the weather, ramble about one of your favorite things, perform a random monologue, show off a character voice, or simply submit your voice reel if you already have one. I mainly want to hear your natural voice, acting ability, and the different kinds of performances you're comfortable with.
Even if you audition for one of the main characters and aren't selected, I may still reach out to you about an extra or supporting role if I think your voice would be a good fit!
