Basic Overview
Danganronpa Antebellum: LOCKDOWN is a remake/reboot of the original Danganronpa Antebellum (A non-profit, Danganronpa fangame) featuring a reworked smaller cast, a more focused and improved plot and an overhaul of mechanics. The project will be developed in rpgmaker, with a large majority of the work for the prologue already being completed at the time this audition goes live. The game is planned to have fully voiced trials and have voice acting present throughout other major story moments.
Audition Details
Many of the VAs from the original Antebellum chose to reprise their roles, so this casting only lists new roles/roles that the previous VAs did not reprise.
These auditions are 16+ only, please only audition if you are 16 or older. If you're under 18, please specify in your audition that you're a minor.
Please provide your preferred name, age (You can just say minor if you're 16/17 and don't feel comfortable disclosing your exact age) and contact information!
Notes have been provided on each character's voice listing, these are guidelines that you don't have to follow but preference will be shown to auditions that follow the requirements closely.
LOCKDOWN contains significantly less sensitive subjects than the original fangame, however upon casting we will disclose any potentially sensitive subjects for each character and provide the potential voice actor a chance to pull out if they're uncomfortable with the topics that may be covered.
Plot Overview
12 Ultimates wake up in a strange Prison, with every moment of their lives now livestreamed to a wider audience ready to see them face justice... Afterall, they're all secretly Criminals. Follow these 12 Ultimates as their crimes are slowly uncovered in a game of life and death, deciding whether or not they're worthy of a chance at Redemption.
Throughout the four chapters Lockdown has to offer you follow Shinku Kutsuki, a disgraced Crime Novelist, as he comes to term with the skeletons in his closet and attempts to understand his fellow Prisoners and what's really going on here, what people are willing to do for audience favour... And who he can really trust.
Will he be worthy of Redemption?

The Protagonist of the project! A slightly insecure awkward writer who struggles with asserting himself and generally taking care of himself. Shinku holds the title as the Ultimate Crime Novelist, primarily for his esoteric crime thrillers- although in recent years he's been writing more trashy teen romance novels to attempt to combat his increasing burnout. He's generally good natured and tries to give everything the benefit of the doubt, but often doesn't have the best judgement.
Looking for a mid-range voice, neutral but slightly anxious undertone, can easily sound tired/stressed when provoked. (22 Years old)

A shy, timid boy who doesn't like to be the centre of attention. He's incredibly smart but regularly underplays his skills as to not warrant un-wanted praise or attention. Despite this, he cares deeply for ensuring that people are okay and will assert himself when he views necessary to take care of people. He's quick to be flustered and shy away, preferring to stay quiet and fade into the background. He holds the title of the Ultimate Herbalist, being known for his incredible medical care stemming from natural medicines, although is very insistent that proper medicine should always be someone's first choice.
Mid-high voices preferred, soft spoken voice, slightly distant/quiet sounding. Irish accent would also be preferred, but it's optional! (21 years old)

The Oldest member of the cast, being in his mid 30s. Fu is a lucrative but extremely washed out Businessmen far passed his prime. Fu is a fairly jovial man when he gets a few drinks in him, albeit acts similarly to an estranged uncle at a family gathering. He often gives fairly questionable advice and is typically only looking out for himself and his own interests. No hard feelings- it's only business. Afterall, he is the Ultimate Salesman and despite the tabloids many, many rumours he's somehow yet to be stripped of the title.
A mid-low to low voice preferred! Slightly gruff/smokey sounding voice, easily smooth and charismatic one moment and then more rough sounding the next. (35 years old)

A young man who lives his life by the motto 'live for a good time, not for a long time', Ezekiel (Or 'Zeke') as he likes to be called has seemingly no self preservation and no respect for anyone who isn't half as reckless as he is. He's hot-headed, grumpy, impatient and thinks he is genuinely the coolest guy in any room at any given time. Most people who meet him can't stand him, with his raging ego being fuelled solely from fangirls who have luckily never met him. He has a rabid hoard of fangirls, being the Ultimate Stunt Performer, which has not improved his attitude in the slightest.
Mid range voices preferred. Southern/texan accent also preferred but not necessary. Very teen boy douchebag sounding. (23 years old)

The nation's sweetheart, working as a 'rental friend' , Takiko is always buzzing with positive energy and support for any situation where it's needed. Takiko tries to always keep a face of optimism, especially in the face of adversity and is particularly good at soothing people and being a friend for them when they need one. Although, having been in the spotlight for so long as the Ultimate Rental Sister (A subcategory of Rental friends) even Takiko struggles to untangle what exactly is a cultivated 'character' for her and what she's actually like- not often saying what she's really thinking. Despite this, she's quick to respond to any situation- even when she doesn't fully understand the full picture yet.
Mid-high voice preferred! Sweet/optimistic sounding voice with quite a bit of energy but able to tone it down and have a more quieter/grounded tone. Must have quite a good range. (18 years old)

A terminally online woman in her late 20s who's something of a womanchild, still being obsessed with anime and manga- particularly those she once voiced in. She's sweet and well-intentioned but her lack of face to face interaction makes very awkward to talk to, she often gets flustered or second guesses what she says and is overall very insecure of herself and her 'childish' interests. Despite all this, she's an incredibly talented Voice actress with a large range being so notable she's been scouted as the Ultimate Voice Actress primarily for her iconic role of the magical girl 'Melody Pretty'!
Mid range to mid-high voices preferred! Sweet sounding voices preferred, although very awkward and slightly pathetic sounding. Must have a fairly good range. (27 years old)

An incredibly intelligent but highly distant woman who primarily focuses on her work as the Ultimate Biochemist, she's fairly well-natured but constantly focused on the practical side of things. This unintentionally makes her rather unapproachable, although she means no harm and intends to collaborate with the other members of the cast in order to find a way out of the situation. Due to her hyperfocus on her work, she sometimes struggles with coming across as blunt and she's quick to lose her patience or unintentionally patronise her fellow Prisoners- who appreciate her contributions, even if many find it hard to talk to her.
Mid to mid low voices preferred! Very calm and level voice, occasionally choppy, very subtle displays of emotion. (21 years old, although attempts to appear a lot older than she is)
