Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Fandub

Project Overview


Disclaimer: We suggest that you have played or at least know the gist of everything that happens in this game, since it is the latest game to be translated into english, it would be nice to have people who have an awareness of all the games prior to auditioning. Also, we are looking for people who are 17 plus,  due to the inappropriate nature of these games.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Despair Girls is our next project after A Trigger Happy Fandub, which is still in development. It will broadcast alongside Danganronpa 2 on Youtube. You can check out what we have so far at: Sonora Productions. 

We work together as a team to move forward with the future, we gather help and insight to better each other. We have done this with a Trigger Happy Fandub and we hope to continue this way moving forward with Ultra Despair Girls.


What we are looking for:




  • A good mic: it doesn't have to be the best microphone in the world, and you can still get cast with an okay mic, but you will have a better chance with a better mic




  • Active Members:  What we require is that you are an active member of the group, we don't just turn in lines and what's done is done, we are actively working together to better our performances and the project.




  • Discord: We use discord for everything, if you don't have a discord it is fairly easy to get the hang of, and it is a great way to communicate.








  • Lip Flaps: We are looking for people who have the ability to record anime cut scenes which require matching lip flaps. But again even if you can't we will try to help as much as we can, it just helps to know about it before hand.

 A completely normal high school girl trapped in the middle of the apocalypse. She just wants to be rescued, and taken some place safe; but everyone around her seems to have other plans. Compared to the people around her, she feels weak and incapable. 


She is a very average protagonist, but is constantly trying to make this right through her upbeat attitude which she tends to keep even when she's trapped in a room for a year and a half

 Let the pageantry begin, this little girl is so sweet just looking at her gives you diabetes. But don't be fooled, it's an act to cover all the unpleasant anger and resentment she feels towards the world. After all, a lady should never be anything other than happy, it's not cute. A bit of a spoiled diva, she is the Warrior of the Warriors of Hope. Her talent is theater, though the question is, when does she stop acting?

 Although she is cute she has undertones of being sinister due to the past that was laid before her



  • Ahoy! A girl! My name is Kotoko Utsugi, and I play the Fighter in the Warriors of Hope! You might think the Fighter would be a boy, but nope! I'm totally a girl! I love Girly things and peeled chestnuts! 

  • My favorite food is pre-shelled chestnuts. My least favorite food is un-shelled chestnuts. Kyaa! Were you surprised that they were both chestnuts?!

The stiffest, coldest, and most mature member of the Warriors of Hope. Just what you'd expect of an honors student who spent his whole life trying to measure up to his parent's unreasonable expectations for perfection. He is a dedicated tactician, and sinisterly cruel to those he deems evil. However, there is always a lingering question if the ends justify the means. His talent is history and he is the Sage of the Warriors of Hope. 


  • My name is Nagisa Shingetsu. In the Warriors of Hope, I act as the vice leader and Sage. When I attended elementary school, I was known as "Li'l Ultimate Social Studies". Of course, Social Studies is but one area of my expertise. I excel at all scholarly pursuits.

  • I-I... I like you. T-That's... in the sense that we're allies aiming for paradise...it's not really... in a romantic sense...

  • Y-You're going to… use this thing to crush my paradise… I won’t allow you… everyone… is believing in the 'Warriors of Hope'… they’re… believing in me… I have to answer to everyone’s expectations! I absolutely must complete our paradise! And so… please believe in me even more—!

A bit of a coward, he pushes himself to always be on the front lines fighting alongside his fellow children. The only thing bigger than his spirit is his ego. His talent is P.E. and he is the undisputed Hero of the Warriors of Hope.


If you have never seen energy it is this kid, he strives to be the best he can, even if it can sometimes get him into trouble

  • We're going to kill all adults in this city and make a peaceful paradise just for children! Doesn't that awesome? Our paradise don't have any school or homework!

  • Heh... a hero, leader and Li'l Ultimate P.E.? I get tingles just hearing myself say it.

A latchkey, shut in; the kind of antisocial nerd you see roaming the convention halls and try to avoid. Jataro's one passion in life is to get as many people to hate him as possible, otherwise why would they notice him at all? Has a tendency to talk to himself constantly to fill the silence. Unfortunately, he never has anything to say, unless it is vulgar or grotesque. His talent is art. He is the Priest of the Warriors of Hope.


  • Ah—wait... can I practice my introduction beforehand? You know how when you stare into moving bicycle spokes, you get all scared? Like, for some reason, you imagine how painful it would be to put your hand in...Oh, um, my name is Jataro Kemuri. And bird skin isn't yummy no matter how you cook it. 

  • You know what he means by pulp... right? Your whole body will turn into little bits of meat, your internal organs will fly out like sausages...

  • Unlike everyone else, Junko-onee-chan was the only person who loved me... Junko-onee-chan gave us shining hope... you adults who took her away from us and branded her a villain...are far uglier, dirtier pieces of trash than I will ever be—!!

The personification of peace and good will. As the mage of the Warriors of Hope, she unifies the group toward the common goal of a children's paradise. A tiny princess who dreams ruling a kingdom with her friends by her side. She would be ever so happy if you would help her in her quest. Her talent is diplomacy. 

She seems to be the happiest of the group and most child-like, but really she is the most sinister of the bunch. Talking in the third person she is like a combo of a 10 year old girl and a 55 year old man


  • Monaca is called Monaca! Monaca's a Mage in the Warriors of Hope. I was known as Li'l Ultimate Homeroom while I was in elementary school.

  • (She is having a tantrum) Nnn... like— I— said—! Why— don't— you— get— it—! That's— how— it— is—! If Monaca— says— so—! Then— it's— so—!

  • Citizens of Towa City...Nice to meet you. We are the "Warriors of Hope." We control Mister Monokuma. This dirty, lame, worthless, pathetic town that's nothing but a penal colony for filthy criminals...

Basically like the Mayor's son, Haji is the leader of the rebellion. A rebellion that hides in a bunker and waits for help to come. He's terrified of getting hurt, or losing anymore people; but is too stubborn to admit it. He is desperate to prolong his own survival, so because of this he will stop for no one to prolong it, even if it means losing his calm and cool demeanor which, in turn, turns into insanity.

  • Rushing forward at full speed with no hope of success isn't courage, it's stupidity.

  • As if I would. And also... If I were to do it with anyone, it would be Komaru Naegi. I'm a lolicon, so the younger, the better.

She can be suggestive at times, with a cigarette always accompanying her, she is there to help you on your journey, but I wouldn't say she's the Kirigiri of the endeavor. 


  • The name's Hiroko Hagakure. I'm once-divorced and currently single. My age is a secret.

A little underdog who's trying desperately to protect the adults from the riots of Towa City. He is a gentlemanly bear with an AI, making him more aware of his actions, he has chosen the path of a protector of his own free will.

 Getting scared very easily and constantly getting into trouble, but always making sure everyone is okay. drastically different sound coming from this bear rather than kurokumas deep and manly tone. 

  • Ehehe... I'm a white bear, so I'd like to be called "Shirokuma."

  • ...No matter how scared you are, there are times that you *have* to fight. There are times you *need* to stand up. Times you *can't* be afraid of death.
