Project Overview
Hello everyone! This casting call club audition is for Cursed To Be My Own. This show is created by me, and produced by daedreaming productions.
This show was created as a passion project so there will not be any payments for working on the pilot episode. However, we are hoping that after the pilot episode is produced on youtube we can get funded and commit to a full show, fully paid. For now, the benefits of the project are to have a great finished project on our portfolios, grow together as a community with a group of talented artists and creators, and to grow your social media audience with everyone that is part of the project.

The show is a fantasy, action-adventure with hints of romance, so there is a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy. So, if you are still interested then you may be asking yourself, 'what exactly is Cursed To Be My Own about?'
Basic Plot For Cursed To Be My Own
It all starts in Solis. Solis is a world full of creatures, humans, Gods, and most importantly, magic. The show revolves around a Goddess named Etania. She is banished, cursed, from her home of Aether, and sent to the Kingdom of Concordia, where she stumbles upon a group of adventurers: Cyrus, Myrina, Augustus, Tiras, and Rune. They band together to help her break her curse but in the process, become wanted criminals.
However, their troubles do not end there.
Lurking in the shadows, a great evil has caught wind of Etanias' exile, and so they lay in wait, plotting her demise.
To overcome the trials and tribulations, they will have to battle their enemies, and maybe even the gods. They must also look within themselves and defeat their inner demons.

As you can see, there are many roles to choose from! There will also be understudies for the characters in case things don't work out. The understudies will participate as extras if the main roles don't alter.
Rules and Expectations
These are the general rules that are required for everyone wanting to be involved in the project. There will be more detailed rules per category down below.
You must have discord to communicate. This is where we will host our meetings, gather with our team members, as well as send updates. So in your application, you must share your discord name.
The minimum age requirement is 14 years of age and older. For the role of Producer, the minimum age requirement is 18 years old. And for the leads, the minimum age requirement is 16 years old. All minors must have permission from their guardians when submitting applications.
We would like for people involved to have multiple skills; if you have something more you can offer such as advertising experience, webtoon experience, etc. be sure to list it with your auditions!
We may find a spot that suits you better than what you auditioned for, so if you are flexible be sure to state so!
While this is a passion project, we will be having deadlines that must be met! This is for our portfolios, so we want to make this as professional as possible! Be sure to have enough time to work on the project weekly to meet our deadlines, and be prepared to be in many meetings with your teammates! We will have voice calls often, so if you are too shy be sure to at least be willing to join the VC and feel free to type rather than speak, but all meetings are mandatory.
If you are selected you still do not have a secured seat; i.e. if there is a bad attitude, constantly not meeting deadlines, etc., you will be excused from the project and we will find someone else to participate.
Since the show needs an audience, if we want to get this funded we are expecting all creators involved to be open in sharing the show on social media platforms no matter how small!
The project will require many reshoots, redraws, and this takes a lot of time so be prepared for that!
Artist Rules
1. Upload a link to your portfolio with your best projects. It is best if it reflects the role you want to apply for. If you want to be an animator, show some animated clips you have done, etc.
2. Give a brief description of your experience, background, and what you want to obtain from the show.
3. State what role you want to be in from these categories… Lead, Animator, Storyboard artist, webtoon illustrator, background designer, detailing artist, in between animator, clean up crew, or an advertiser which will be uploading content to our social media platforms. Also, let us know if you are flexible to be in any position.
4. There will be a round two where we will have you draw our characters within a specific time frame.
Producer Rules
1. Let us know what you have to offer the project whether it be experienced in advertising, animation, etc.
2. What made you want to join the project?
3. How often are you free for frequent meeting calls and working as a team?
4. Do you have any prior experience? If so please list them.
5. You must be 18 years of age or older, no minors.
6. Do you plan on going into the animation career or film industry?
7. You may be a producer as well as an artist etc but you have to audition separately.
Co-writer Rules
1. Please send a writing example of your own work. Send at least three script sheets, or send a comic script sheet.
2. What kind of genre is your favorite genre to write?
3. How long have you been writing?
4. What made you want to join the team?
5. Give a brief summary about yourself and what you have to offer.
6. Must be 16 years of age or older.
Video/Audio Editor Rules
1. Show a video process of you editing audio or a video.
2. Tell us about your experience.
3. Give us a brief summary about yourself and what effects you can and cannot do.
4. Tell us why you want to join the project.
5. Must be 16 years of age or older.
Voice Actor Rules
1. You may shoot up to three times maximum per line.
2. You may only submit your voice once per character. You may audition for multiple roles, however, you must send only one audition clip, per character.
3. There must be little to no background noise.
4. You must be at least 14 years of age or older to audition. Minors must have parental approval.
5. There will be understudies in case someone drops out or it is not working out with the originally chosen voice actor. Understudies will be cast as extras for the show.

You will have to be able to meet deadlines with your group. Frames, backgrounds, in between, and cleanup will all follow specific schedules so you must have enough free time to work on the project. We also are wanting people who can imitate other art styles so we can have consistent work. If you are unable to then we may try to work around the issues. This is for 2D animation only. You will be in charge of taking care of certain areas along with leads to make sure the show and webtoon are flowing smoothly. You will also be in frequent meetings with the other producers and the director to discuss future plans for the show, as well as give input on what we should work on whether it be reshooting, or redraws. You will have one of two jobs, you will either be working on the webtoon team, or you will be posting frequently to our social media sites. In order for the show to grow, we need a dedicated team to constantly produce amazing content while the show is being animated behind the scenes. The art style does not have to be a specific way, in fact, this option gives more creative freedom to you as well. You will also have to help plan out future solutions to growing our audience so we need very creative people to be part of this team! Please submit all that is listed in the rule section down below.

We are selecting two co-writers to help with writing the chapters for the webtoon we are doing to promote the show while we animate behind the scenes. You may also help with future episodes as well! We need creative writers who have lots of knowledge about fantasy, magic, and mythology. The co-writers will be very important in adding more seasoning to our story and we need all the inspiration we can get. Please submit all the requirements down below.

We are wanting the video editor to have some basic experience in working with animation projects. You will be required to be able to use Gmail to obtain all of the clips and audio. We are looking for someone with basic knowledge of audio engineering to be able to sync the audio together perfectly with the animation. As well as be able to make edits to the voice if it is needed. You will work directly with the director and the voice actors to make sure the tone of voice and pitches are all working together properly. We are needing a music composer to help us come up with the perfect intro to start the animation with! We are open to any genre at the moment, however, we must let you know that the show is a high-action and adventure show with sprinkles of romance and sensitive topics. So edgy would be the best fit. Please submit examples of your work and what kind of music you have made before. As well as explain whether or not you would be able to record the song alone or if you would need help from other musicians, such as singers, etc.
