Crown of Roses / Henry Stickmin COMIC + DUB
Project Overview
CROWN OF ROSES is a Henry Stickmin AU / Explanation comic. It deals with dark themes and serves to give a backstory to many of the Toppats and Ellie Rose herself.
While it tries to stay more or less true to canon, and draws inspiration from the original backstory that was planned for Ellie, there are a few inconsistencies placed for the sake of storytelling.
Talent is required to have Discord and will be asked to dub directly from the comic pages themselves, which I will send!
There is no definitive upload schedule for now.

The Voice Claims video is a little outdated :)
This series is PG 13, so contains no swearing and no sexual content.
VAs will be allowed to leave whenever necessary, and I can of course extend voice acting deadlines, as long as I get them I’m perfectly okay with waiting, prioritize yourselves!
However, the videos will not be taken down once they are posted. Hopefully there’s no reason to want or need them taken down, but I’m saying this as a precaution should the desire arise!

Ellie Rose is the main character of CoR! She’s a rebellious and spunky Toppat with a distaste for the current leader and a knack for bothering her friends.
I imagine her voice to be sharper, and I do not have a preferred accent for it!
She should be able to have a large range, especially from friendly / spunky to maniacal and unhinged.

(Maniacal, Unhinged) “What? You think you can take me down?! YOU THINK YOU CAN STAB ME IN THE BACK TOO?!”
Ellie’s best friend, Reginald Copperbottom is a cowardly but sensible Toppat who tends to be the “straight man” in his trio. Though he isn’t too sure about the whole “overthrow the leader” plan, he cares deeply for his friends and most of all the Clan itself.
His voice should sound somewhat like this

Lefty is the oldest of the main trio, and is very protective of both of his friends. Though he has a laid back, jokester persona, he’s overall a sensible man who stays firm to his beliefs and has a bit of an alcohol proble…..one that worsens once Ellie “dies.”
His voice should be more gruff.

Sven Svensson is Suave’s right hand man and “mole”. He’s easily flustered and often angry, yet we see a more meek side of him as the story continues.
His voice should be more nasally, though not as comedic as his canon voice

Burt Curtis is eternally tired and monotone, yet not emotionless- he loves comics and is generally insecure, though he tries to hide it.

Carol Cross is a minor character and a bit of a stereotypical “mean girl”. She wants nothing more than Suave‘s approval, and hates Ellie for getting it so easily.

Terrence Suave is the villainous leader of the Toppat Clan, an unstable man who can switch from charmingly smooth and viciously unhinged in the blink of an eye. His voice should be able to sound charming and yet also loud and threatening- so basically a large range, despite his fewer onscreen moments.

A very minor character, Miss Demeanor is Carol Cross’s lackey. She’s a bit dimwitted and overall not very antagonistic, as she just trails along after Carol.
I imagine her sounding like Heather Macnamera, from Heathers: The Musical :)

The ghost of one of the former leaders of the Toppat Clan, Randy Radman has been pestering Sven Svensson- one of only two Toppats who can actually see him.
He’s very relaxed and enthusiastic, very rarely getting serious. He’s a little airheaded, but his heart is usually in the right place.
I’ll admit I imagine him sounding like Alex Brightman (AKA Fizzarolli (Helluva Boss), Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice: The Musical), Adam (Hazbin Hotel))….but I’m pretty flexible. He’s a newer character, so I’m happy if he’s up to more interpretation!
Also, he thinks he’s really cool and hip. Spoiler alert, he’s not.
