Cowboy Western Cartoon
Project Overview
Hello fans of Westerns, Gothics, and Absurdist humor!
WARNING: We are asking for adult actors, due to the subject of the cartoon and the humor you'll have to endure from my team.
To keep it simple: We're creating a Western cartoon among friends as a proof of concept leading up to a potential pilot! The script is finished, the character art is done, the artists have their roles, and we're finally ready to get this proof of concept project underway. All we need is talented voices from YOU! The reader.
This will be solely for fun for the first episode, so we cannot offer much in the form of compensation, however if this first short (Which will be about under a minute just to show off the style, if we can do it, and the characters), takes off, then we will be able to gain funding, a larger team with more quality assets and materials, and pay voice actors for their dues! Depending on how much we like your voice, this has potential (very rarely to be long term and paid.
We ask that anybody auditioning has good audio quality. Please make sure your audio is crisp and clear, this means no background noise, no buzzing, no peaking, no echo, etc. There will be screaming. There is a higher chance you won't be chosen if your audio is not up to par.
Now more about the project!
This is a Spaghetti Western inspired project with gothic themes that's heavily inspired by shows like Chowder, Flapjack, and Grim Adventures. With mesa mountains tall as the sky, Towns as fierce as the people that inhabit them, and a desert that plagues the earth. It will follow the adventures of William, a failed cowboy just barely making his way through the desert world through a drunken stupor. Bartholomew, an orphaned British teenager who'd been taken under Bill's wing to learn the ways of the west. Also there's a horse.
We look forward to hearing all of your voices bring these guys to life, thanks so much!

Bartholomew (Barth for short) is a British thirteen year old who has somehow made his way into the West, and has been taken under as an "apprentice" to William.
He is very polite, upbeat, and respectful. He sounds youthful and always ever interested, but has good enough manners to know when to be quiet. However it is a cartoon, so he's very full of character, not monotone at all.
Very kind and formal, as if he were tipping his hat.
"'Ello there mista, my name is Bartholomew, and this 'ere is my compatriot, William!"
Barth was just handed a gun by his mentor, and is starstuck at the prospect of learning to shoot.
"Really?! You're going to let me shoot?! today? Out here?"
Bartholomew is cowering behind a wooden cart, shakily asking William about their potentially dangerous situation.
"Wh-What is it?! More of those bandits you were talking about?!"
Horse is kind of a bitter, sarcastic asshole. Always interjecting on the fun or bad ideas that either Bill or Barth are gonna have, and he's definitely one to hold a grudge.
Little to no gruffness preferred for this role. Medium to high voice range. Always sarcastic and kind of bitchy sounding, save for fear.
Sarcastic, you can basically hear him rolling his eyes in this one.
"Yeah good idea, give the kid a gun again. Tell him to try and aim it right at his head this time."
He just got shot in the knee. Give me your best horrified scream. This will be a bit over the top for comedy, so just be as loud and annoyed as you can.
"AHHHHHHHHGHHHHHH!!!!!! HE FUCKIN' SHOT ME!! HHahhh... Hhhrgghh... FUUUUCKKKK!!!" *adlib here like you're rolling on the ground in agony uncomfortably long. General sucking in air and pained groans, groans, and sputters.*
Just being a stand-offish jerk to an odd staring fellow. Like he's been waiting there for a while.
"... See somethin' you like bud...? Never seen a horse or somethin'? I'm telling you to fuck off buddy we got stuff goin' on here."
