Marvel: Contest of Champions: Prelude
Project Overview
Krayt Dragon Films is proud to announce that we will be continuing our phase one of Marvel comic dubs with the Contest of Champions series! KDF has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to this one for a little under three years, except we have solely focused on producing Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this series in our line up! Before we delve too far into what this project is about, we have supplied links to some of our previously completed works to give you a feel for what you will be voicing.

How it Works:
Sufficient to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our near three year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director and Casting Director sit down together and make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, schedule meetings for live voice direction, and to just meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. The production time on all projects are airtight, all lines are due within seven days of the script's release to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. If a request is requested you will have three days after the retake request is made to redo your lines. From there it is up to the Director and Producer to bring to life the comic. Production time can range from a few days to a few weeks so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin. Rinse and repeat until the series is complete!
The Synopsis:
Welcome to the BATTLEREALM--a broken section of space-time where cosmic beings gamble for the ultimate power while their unwilling pawns fight for their lives and a chance to return back to Earth. No one from the Marvel universe is exempt from the call of the BATTLEREALM. Heroes v.s. heroes. Villians v.s. Villians. And more times than not, all-out chaos! Who will survive... THE CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS?

Ground rules:
- Please make sure you can commit to the series and reprising your roles. The series is a rather lengthy one which will require you to reprise your role for close to a year.
- Please be able to get your lines in the very same week you get the script. Production time will be airtight!
- Have a professional grade equipment or at the bare minimum make sure your audio is top notch. No background noise!
- Have a Discord or be able to create one. This allows for us to communicate and upload documents much easier than Skype or any other platform.
- Lastly, enjoy yourselves!

Character Description:
The Maestro is an incarnation of Bruce Banner/Hulk from an alternate future. His home dimension was destroyed during the Secret Wars, and he was brought into the Contest of Champions by the Collector; first as a Contestant, before later being promoted to the role of the Collector’s “Summoner”, placing him in charge of recruiting new combatants.
Personality:
Maestro is a cold, manipulative schemer who has done his best over the years to put the savagery and mindlessness of the Hulk behind him.
Voice:
He should sound like either a more cultured and well-spoken version of the Hulk (retaining the depth and intensity of his voice), or like either Idris Elba as Shere Khan or Giancarlo Esposito as Akela from The Jungle Book.

- Maestro: "You can’t make an Omniverse without breaking a few cosmic eggs. Case in point – hanging by a thread at the farthest edge of all that is, the broken shell of what was once God Doom’s reality – The Battlerealm. Time and physics have ruptured here. Become… treacherous. It’s a very dangerous place to find yourself trapped in. And I should know… I’m the biggest danger here. In the distant past, the “Present” to most here, I was called the Hulk. In my present, their future, I am The Maestro. I know, it’s complicated. But if my plans work out, I’ll take a simpler name… “God”."
- Collector: "You are muttering, Summoner. If you’ve something to say, speak it aloud."
- Maestro: "Just wondering if I’ve got your brother’s rules right. Each player is allowed five contestants, to fight in battlegrounds of our choosing. Gambling for the Ultimate Prize. If all five die, the Player forfeits. Yes?"
- Collector: "We have one in play; your task is to select four more. And summoner… make them collectible."
- Maestro: "Collectable, you say? I believe I have just the thing…"- Maestro: "Stimulating, am I? Oh, you have no idea. “Summoner”. I’ll ram your “Summoner” down your throat, you popinjay. I’m the Maestro… and I always call the tune."
Character Description:
Taneleer Tivan, better known as the Collector, is a near-immortal being who has existed since the birth of the Universe. After the Secret Wars, the multiverse became flooded with trace elements of a substance known as “Iso-8”. The Elders of the Universe (Tivan’s kinsmen) declared a contest to decide which of them should be worthy of claiming all of the Iso-8 for themselves, with the Collector devoting his every resource to winning it.
Personality:
Tivan is very flamboyant and theatrical but has a sinister edge when his plans are threatened.
Voice:
He should be played like Benicio Del Toro’s portrayal from Guardians of the Galaxy.

- Collector: "Behold the prize. Formed from the fires of Universal Rebirth, crystals of Pure Creative Force, left behind in this dry world of matter - the birth caul of the Omniverse, fresh and new. And here, in this broken section of space-time, abundant beyond measure. The Humans of your world have named this substance Iso-8. They fuss over the smallest fragments of it, as well they might. For what I hold is the raw stuff of reality itself, concentrated into its most potent form – The Iso-Sphere. And even this mere section of it, the section I have won through my pawns in the Contest of Champions, gives me the power to rival the Gods. And to prove it, on the advice of my summoner-"
- Maestro: "Charmed."
- Collector: "-I kidnapped one from his own afterlife."- Collector: "You are muttering, Summoner. If you’ve something to say, speak it aloud."
- Maestro: "Just wondering if I’ve got your brother’s rules right. Each player is allowed five contestants, to fight in battlegrounds of our choosing. Gambling for the Ultimate Prize. If all five die, the Player forfeits. Yes?"
- Collector: "We have one in play; your task is to select four more. And summoner… make them collectible."- Collector: "One Contestant vanished, two more locked in combat with vastly superior foes. We stand to lose this battle. What do you have to say about that, Maestro?"
- Maestro: "…I have to go to the little Hulk’s room. Let me know if anything happens."
- Collector: "Is that a joke? You don’t feel any responsibility for this, Summoner? This is your Team, following your strategy-"
- Maestro: "And they’ll either die, or they won’t. My bladder bursting won’t change that."
- Collector: "Remember what I said, Summoner. This contest is for Godhood itself. Lose me that - fail me - and you’ll die the next instant. I promise you."
Character Description:
An alternate version of Venom from another Earth, this incarnation of former Eddie Brock succeeded in killing his Earth’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man, though now hallucinates Peter as an “Imaginary Friend”. He was chosen to be a contestant for the team in opposition to the Collector’s.
Personality:
This Eddie has all the usual insanity/rage of Venom, but with an added free-spiritedness and tenderness, when talking to his friend “Pete”.
Voice:
He should be played like Ben Diskin’s portrayal from Spectacular Spider-Man. Voice modulation is acceptable for this role.

- Venom: "Well, look harder, Bobby-boy – if you want him alive and undigested, that is. We meet him – we eat him."
- Sentry: "Don’t push me, Brock. I might have a code against killing, but I’d love to see that Symbiote of yours rot in Saturnian Space-Jail!"
- Venom: "Not to his taste, are we, Pete? Too good for the likes of us! Bet he’s to our taste, though. Oh, I just bet."- Venom: "Hey! You! Stabby McStab! Down here!"
Character Description:
One of the greatest heroes of his Earth, this alternate version of the Sentry was chosen to be a Contestant and is Venom’s teammate.
Personality:
Sentry is cool-headed, calm and ordered, but has an evil split personality known as “The Void” that emerges whenever he becomes stressed or angry. The Void is vicious, sadistic and constantly angry.
Voice:
He should sound like either Tim Daly or Christopher Reeve’s portrayals of Superman. The Void should sound like either of them too, but angry and psychotic. When turning into the Void in audition line number three, you are welcome to use voice modulation to enhance your performance.

Character Description:
The Contest Voiceover is (we're assuming) an Artificial Intelligence/disembodied voice that announces the scores and commentates the Contest.
Personality:
The Voiceover has a calm, soothing, and slightly electronic voice.
Voice:
She should sound like the Voice of Laser Moon from Auralnauts’ Star Wars Series.
