Project Overview
Hello again!
We are Dark Helm Entertainment, a studio who are currently working on a Modern-Greek mythology slice of life 2D animation with hints of comedy, romance, and tense hijinks! Our project is called Chosen, and finally, we are ready to recruit some talented and wonderful souls to voice the characters we have poured our hearts and love into.
“Five mortals are picked at random by the fates to become the champions of five goddesses from Mount Olympus after a heated exchange. Who will produce the best champion, or have the goddesses lost their touch?”
Thank you all so much for the love and support we received for the first wave of VA casting. We are absolutely blown away by the sheer number of auditions across Discord and the casting call! We ended up receiving 250 auditions, which have completely exceeded our expectations.
This is our second wave of casting for our characters, and boy, do we have a lineup for you all! We will be holding this casting period for 4 weeks. Here is how things will work:
Auditions will be open from today [05/10/25] till Sunday, 9th November!
We will start giving feedback weekly after week 2!
Weeks 4 and 5 will be when we start our callback process!
We will close auditions on 9th November and announce those who are cast on Sunday, 16th November.
For this wave, we are looking for voice actors for the following characters:

Asclepius
Eros
Hephaestus
Hestia
Poseidon
Nyx
Hypnos
Thanatos
Persephone
If you want to audition, please follow these requirements:
Please do multiple takes of each line (ABCABC or AABBCC, whichever you’d prefer)
Audition for as many characters as you’d like! (But you are limited to 3 attempts per character)
Leave the following information with your audition: Discord Username, Age, Timezone, and what equipment you used!
Be 18 or older! There are no expectations for this rule, no matter how good your audition is!
If you want feedback, please let us know in your audition comment!
Slates in your audition are not mandatory, but are welcome.
Proficient in English [Accents are always welcome!]

We are looking for people who want to be around for the long term, since we are planning to have at least 3 seasons' worth of content (~35 Eps). And you must be okay with signing an NDA.

Wave #2 Casting!
Hello all,
Thank you for all your patience and understanding! We are a little later than expected with announcing these roles due to some irl circumstances.
We have managed to get an outstanding 605 auditions across both CCC and discord. We can not believe the amount of love, support and auditions we've reviewed and seen. We are so thankful for everyone who auditioned and shared their talent with us!
All roles for this wave have been assigned!
We plan on opening more VA waves in the future so, keep an eye out for them! Thank you all again so very much and congratulations to everyone who was casted!

Hello all,
Thank you all so much for the love and support on this project already, we are stunned and so incredibly thankful. We have managed to get around 600 auditions across CCC and discord, which is insanity!
We have started our callback process, shortlisted folks and reached out to those who have been shortlisted. Please make sure to check your DMs in case you might be one of them.
We will be announcing who will be getting the roles on Sunday, 16th November.

Hephaestus is one of the more creative and perfectionist Gods in Olympus due to his craft and domain, for which he has a great memory of detail. He is also thoughtful, helpful, and gentle towards the other gods. He is 29 - 44 years old.
