Chosen: VA Casing [Wave #2.5]

Project Overview

Hello again, 

We are Dark Helm Entertainment, a studio who are currently working on a Modern-Greek mythology slice of life 2D animation with hints of comedy, romance, and tense hijinks! Our project is called Chosen, and finally, we are ready to recruit some talented and wonderful souls to voice the characters we have poured our hearts and love into. 

“Five mortals are picked at random by the fates to become the champions of five goddesses from Mount Olympus after a heated exchange. Who will produce the best champion, or have the goddesses lost their touch?”

This process is going to work slight different to our previous casting call posts, as we will be hiring people based on their auditions and not giving out callbacks. This is due to the nature of the roles that we are looking for. Here is how things will work: 

  • Auditions will be open from today till February 8th.

  • Auditions will close, and people will be cast on the same day! 

  • You may be cast as a specific character, or a floating extra (here to pick stuff up for us in the future).

  • If cast, line deadlines will be one week from your entry date (quick turnaround).

For this wave, we are looking for voice actors for the following characters:

  • Servent 

  • Cook

  • Mrs [Samantha] Booth

  • Derec 

  • Man

If you want to audition, please follow these requirements: 

  • Please do multiple takes of each line (ABCABC or AABBCC, whichever you’d prefer)

  • Audition for as many characters as you’d like! (But you are limited to 3 attempts per character)

  • Use the audition form to tell us a bit about you

  • Be 18 or older! There are no expectations for this rule, no matter how good your audition is! 

  • If you want feedback, please let us know in your audition comment!

  • Slates in your audition are not mandatory, but are welcome.

  • Proficient in English [Accents are always welcome!]

  • Deadline Update

    Hey folks,

    Thank you all for the auditions that have already come through. We have decided to extend the deadline to the 16th to give a little more time and wriggle room with our busy schedule, but also a chance for ya'll to audition if you didn't get a chance to with the original audition deadline.

She is determined, ambitious, and organised, while also being chatty and emotional. She looks similar to Piper while having her hair braided in a black-to-blonde colour. 


We would like Samantha to have an American Accent, preferably LA accent to a certain capacity. We want her to sound mature, warm and welcoming in tone.

He’s sporty, protective, honest, trendy and annoying to those who he loves and cares for. He is 5’11 with a streetwear / semi-athletic style. 


We would like Derec to have an American Accent, LA preferred. We want him to have a medium-pitched voice and for him to sound high-energy and upbeat.
