Hi! My name is Synkro and I'm producing a full fan animation of Chainsaw Man Chapter 98!
I'm currently casting voice actors for Asa Mitaka and Yoru (War Devil). The voice direction will focus heavily on naturalistic acting, subtle emotional line deliveries and a strong contrast b/w Asa's grounded and awkward inner thoughts and Yoru's sharp and demanding presence.

Yoru (War Devil) Personality:
Yoru is the War Devil. She is proud, aggressive, prideful & carries herself with the authority of an ancient being who believes conflict is the natural order. She speaks bluntly & often w/ irritation/impatience while rarely showing empathy. However, beneath the arrogance, she is calculating & strategic (often thinking about how to regain her lost abilities).
Yoru (War Devil) Voice Direction:
- Confident, sharp & slightly cold tone.
- Commanding someone should sound natural in a way where she expects to be obeyed.
- Loud & prideful in stronger moments (not explosive like power)
- Not looking for a dominant moany or "mommy" voice
Yoru (War Devil) Traits for Casting:
- Commanding & authoritative mannerisms
- Sharp & direct line delivery
- Voice w/ an underlying intensity & menace
- female adult
(Loud, Confident & Prideful, almost like a knight announcing his role) My Name is War Devil! Die for my warm-up kill!
(Low and Menacing, almost like a promises that this will happen) Just you wait Chainsaw Man! I'll make you vomit nuclear weapons back up!
(Truthful, but worded in almost a Mocking manner) If you won't obey me, I can always take the rest of your brain. If I do, this time you'll really die.
Personality:
Asa is socially awkward, introverted, nerdy & emotionally sensitive. She often overthinks situations & sounds defensive/hesitant when she speaks. Despite her insecurities though, she has a pretty strong moral compass & many moments of quiet determination when she's pushed to act.
Voice Direction:
- Natural & very human performance w/ subtle nervousness
- Slight hesitations, uncertainty or frustration in emotional scenes
- Her stronger moments should feel like someone is forcing themselves to be brave rather than naturally confident.
- Kinda nerdy (subtle)
Traits for Casting:
- Slightly awkward & grounded line delivery
- Capable of shifting from timid to determined
- Internalized frustration, emotionally vulnerable and anxiety

(Regretful, almost frustrated, but not exaggerated inner monologue) If I had known, I could have had a better life. Maybe I could have had friends. Or even a boyfriend. I wish... I'd tried living just a little more selfishly.
(Kinda nerdy, a little bit Frustrated and Bossy) Listen. I came up with the prefect plan for enjoying the aquarium. We aren't deviating from the plan.
(Hesitant, but Determined) I want... to live like that too! So I'm gonna save her... no matter what!
Personality:
Class Prez first comes off as a model student who is polite, responsible and friendly. This however is a facade, throughout the chapter she is revealed to be manipulative, jealous and unstable emotionally. When she transforms into a giant claw tentacle monster thingy, her cheerful and composed mannerisms quickly shifts to being obsessive and unhinged.
Voice Direction:
- Pleasant "hounour student" tone that feels trustworthy.
- Performance starts to crack into excitement, jealousy and a sort of unstable intensity for when she transforms
Traits for Casting:
- Friendly and polite on the surface
- Gradually become more emotionally instable
- Capable of sharp shifts in tone (sweet --> obsessive)
- If possible, a sort of underlying insecurity that is camouflaged by confidence

(Almost Mocking, but Friendly) You won't make any friends eating alone.
(Loud, Announcing to class) The whole class talked it out, and we've decided... we won't eat Bucky!
(Just turned into a giant claw monster thing, angry/frustrated) Did you know that Mr. Tanaka likes YOU even though he's sleeping with me?! I made a contract with the justice devil to find out how to reach my happy ending with Mr. Tanaka!
