Cell 296 - an audio drama
Project Overview
Cell 296 is an (<10 min) audio drama that takes place in a prison cell about an inmate and a Watcher. When he awakes in his cell and is confronted with his backstory, he shares his side of the story.
I plan to have this fully finished before March, so I need lines within one week of casting (the quicker, the better!). If you don’t think you can meet this deadline, please don’t audition.
Must be 13+ to audition
Please be sure your recording doesn’t have any background noise. Good quality mic is recommended.
Must have discord to communicate (or be willing to create an account)
Please include your discord username in your audition.
When auditioning, please READ ALL THREE LINES.
CW: This contains themes of death, cancer, and a bit of mild profanity.
I am very excited for this project, thank you for the interest!

A shaggy man in a body no older than his mid twenties. His soul is slightly older, around thirty years or so. Gets pissed and bored easily. Needs human interaction.

(desperate, slightly pissed) Just talk to me! We can talk about you or your inferior music taste if that’s what you care about! I don’t care!
(frustrated) You have eyes right? You blind or something, old man?
(emotional, vulnerable) But like I never saw it coming. The next thing I know, I’m running for my life. Hell, how could I have known that this would affected your family or made your son die or disappear?
A very wise old man watching the inmate from outside his cell. Wise, calm voice throughout.

You’re not telling me because you don’t know or you don’t trust me?
I want you to think about this: to what extent is it worth risking someone else’s life to save yours? Is there even value, or is it just for moral satisfaction and comfort? Don’t answer it, just think.
Why? Why you did it. That’s what I want to know.
