This Job Is Hell is semi-animated mini series personal project inspired by Class of 09 and Hazbin hotel! Focusing on a cast of demons who work at a barcade/club, this story sets out to follow them on a light-hearted, comedic series with moments of heart-warming friendships here and there.
This series will naturally be vulgar at some times given both points of inspiration, so I ask that all applicants be 18+. When applying for a role, please make sure to leave your discord username in your application as to make the communication process easier. If things go well with this, we may ask that you continue to voice for us in things like short skits for social media posts, Q&A's for the characters and more. I want to reiterate that this is a passion project right now, but if things go well down the line you will be paid for any future work.

With the influx of applications for characters, I doubt I will need to extend the casting call! Once the 1st comes around, I will send out friend requests to all who have been cast in their respective role they applied for. Threat not if you do not get in, though! In the future if more characters come into play, all who applied in this will get a first pick priority for these roles as a thank you to all who showed interest in my little project. I hope you all had a great holiday and that 2024 will be a great year for all of us! It sure will be B)

Celia is a generally calm Hellhound that's working as the establishment's repairswoman. She's a down to earth person with a hint of sarcasm in what she says. Currently I do not have any ideas for what she would sound like, so feel free to interpret it as you think! Whilst she isn't human, she is POC coded & Pansexual, so POC & Pansexual applicants will have priority!
(You've just been told by the bartender that a strange patron has been asking for inappropriate drinks) "This is the third time someone's asked for that- is this the same person?"
"It won't fix your bad back, dude"
"I don't know. I don't care either, weird."
CupBob is a sarcastic, dry and shy Sinner working as the bartender at the establishment. Being the sort of proverbial punching bag of the group, he's developped a generally thick skin, but will still be hurt by things. He speaks with a Scottish accent with influences of Northern British slang in a medium to deep range. He is gay and autistic, so neurodivergent and queer applicants will have priority!
(You've just been asked if the drugs your coworkers sell are safe) "Aye it’s Overlord mandated. It’s like the stuff they give old Sinners so they dunni freak out over petrol costs and pronouns."
"I say the same thing as I drink myself to sleep every night."
"And I told him we dunni serve that here."
A shy, sometimes nervous yet overall cheerful Sinner, Janet is the security at the establishment that's too quick to jump the gun. Aside from having a high-ish pitched voice, the rest is up to interpretation! Given this character is trans & lesbian, any trans & queer applicants will have priority!
(You've just been insulted because of how much caffeine you drink) "I blink..! Besides, it's not a problem."
"I'm sorry, I got nervous!"
"But the boss seems so happy all the time!"
A succubi, Margot is a crass, rude and quick witted demon with a slightly unhinged side. With her friend Polo, the two can bounce off of one-another's humour quickly and seriously rip into people. I imagine she has a valley accent, so think Class of 09 students for inspiration. This character is pansexual, so any queer applicants will have priority!
(You've just left the rest of the cast because their conversation was boring) "Urgh, are we like, the only fun ones here?"
"What, do you think I'm a professional? ... Because I am."
"There's cinemas for porn, what's so shocking about drug school?"
The Incubus friend of Margot, Polo is a quick witted, snappy man with a complacency for what his friend gets up to. Given his friendship with Margot, he also has a mean-girl persona with a mid range voice. I imagine he sounds similar to 6arelyhumand and has a valley accent. He is pansexual, so any queer applicants will get priority!
(You've just been asked for weed by a very posh sounding person) "Gosh, can’t you say weed like a normal person? You’re not helping the sounding like a cop thing"

A currently unnamed Sinner, he is the "main character" who won't be lasting very long in that role. He is a businessman, having just fallen into Hell resulting in a nervous, but overly hopeful personality. Think yesman that just wants to get by. Aside from a male-sounding voice, there are no expectations for this role, so feel free to interpret it as you will!
(You've just been lied to by the dancers at the club, resulting in a bad memory of your wife) "You two remind me of my wife, hahah… And any time I think about my wife, I’m reminded that I’M GONNA FUCKING KILL HER!"
"Tequilla sunrise, please!"
"I’m good at swallowing. Anyways! More so pharmaceuticals rather than drugs, but they go hand in hand!"
