Project Overview
Captain's Call is an audio drama/audio horror podcast created and distributed wherever you get your podcasts by Lost Files Podcasts.
After the sudden crash of the U.S.S Scarlett, Lighthouse attendants Peter Marshall and Benjamin Ducat find themselves caring for those washing up on their shores. But when every person who arrives carries a weirder and weirder story, Peter and Benjamin realize there may be a good chance the U.S.S Scarlett had been hijacked. And those who hijacked them may not even be human.
Due to scheduling errors, we are currently recasting the entire cast. Because we are newly starting up, this is currently an unpaid project, but through sponsorships in the near future, we are hoping to get funding soon to establish a cast salary. Peter Marshall is the former first mate of an esteemed shipping captain who finds himself stuck on Northern Ness Island, Scotland, following the call for his removal. He is bitter towards other characters at first, especially towards his new partner, due to his reserved feelings of loneliness. He suffers immensely from the sudden change in surroundings and is often startled by the sounds of the lighthouse. Following his noticing of the crash, he takes on a sobering personality and becomes more stoic and protective of his partner and of the lighthouse.

"You've lost your damn mind, Daniel. You really think I'm going to stay here after that psycho lady jumped off the damn cliff?"
"I'm sorry. I really am. I'm not used to being...so alone out here."
Benjamin Ducat has lived most of his life jumping around cities in the UK with his father. So when he finally got a chance to stay put in one place for work, he leaped at the chance. He's been staying and working at Northern Ness Lighthouse since he was 19, almost 15 years of his life. He loves it, and it's obvious in how he speaks of his home and in how often he speaks about wanting to keep the place upkept. His obsession with keeping the island nice is comparable to OCD. He is often jittery and excitable, easily startled and is known to jump from hobby to hobby. Following the crash, his personality does a 180, he is quiet, easily angered and paranoid, soothed only by being near his partner.

Scarlett is the first to arrive on a lifeboat from a sunken U.S.S Scarlett. Scarlett is quiet, obviously traumatized and has trouble speaking clearly. Just before she leaps from the cliff, her personality changes. Her voice goes back to normal and she speaks clearly but it's extremely paranoid and repetitive.

Daniel is the voice on the other end of the line, the man on the mainland making sure Benjamin and Peter don't die or get seriously hurt. Until he's killed that is. Daniel is extremely sarcastic and a bit passive-aggressive. He doesn't believe a word either of them says about the people arriving on the island up until he arrives on the island himself and finds himself intertwined in the real-life horror story.

The Beckoning, or going by the name he takes on when in human form as Terrie, is a shapeshifting creature with the ability to use human bodies/skins like Halloween costumes, killing them and then using the skin to make himself human. The human he has possessed is Terrie Williamson, the former General Captain of the United States Navy Ship 'U.S.S Scarlett'. He is extremely aggressive when found in his monster form but tends to fly under the radar when using human bodies. His main plan was to attempt to reach Europe to take the British crown next but fell victim to the tricks of a monster hunter, Scarlett Riley.
