Short Animated Film - C.A.P.E
Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for an animated short film titled "C.A.P.E". We're casting for a variety of personas to be used throughout the short film.
Recording Requirements
All recordings, including auditions should be clean and processed (unless otherwise stated) and ideally recorded on an XLR mic. This means no background noise (fans, lawnmowers, pets, people, AC), and a nice clear sound. If your audio is too quiet or fuzzy, it may not be usable as too much post processing poses a risk. We are striving for an authentic and immersive experience, let's keep it as professional and clean sounding as possible.
What you can expect
You can expect a welcoming atmosphere with room to experiment. If you have a concern regarding the material, you are encouraged to bring it up, as it is a collaborative effort, that I want you to take pride in being part of. You will have access to your lines and potentially other materials depending on your role.
You are not required to advertise the project once it's public, however you can feel free to if you'd like.
Zoom
Once casting is complete you will be sent a private link to the zoom call, on the date of recording via call sheet. Please don't post your real name here as I will collect and securely store that information for purposes of production. More below.
Professionalism
As mentioned, this project is meant to be as professional as possible. This means that as you will be credited for your work. If you are found to be behaving in a less than exemplary manner on social media or otherwise, you will be hastily removed from the project. The contents of your performance and the script are CONFIDENTIAL UNLESS EXPLICITLY WRITTEN AND / OR AUTHORIZED BY MYSELF and should not be shared outside of the the cast and crew.

As of right now there is no specifically chosen platform, but there are avenues of approach identified.
Additional Information
The deadline for auditions is July 17th, 2021. There are no plans to extend this deadline, as we have entered production. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles by July 19th and send call sheets to voice actors by July 20th. This is a hard deadline. If you are unable to record July 20th, please do not audition.
+ Artists with XLR Microphones are highly encouraged to apply.
+ Extra EXTRA points if you use REAPER as your DAW
+ Show emotion! Give your all and remember to have fun!
+ Communication is solely through email / zoom.
+ If selected, you will have to sign onboarding forms before being fully admitted into the production.

Deadline Reached!
A big warm thank you to everyone who applied! Applications are now closed! Here's the plan going forward. The next step is to go straight to reviewing each submission in depth.
