Allinor arrived in the Veil just before Khiaziri, and the two of them bonded almost instantly. Together with Larxene, they formed a tight trio (kingdom hearts coded)

From the beginning, Allinor had a rebellious streak. She ignored duties, and questioned every rule the Council placed in front of her. Most of her misadventures ended in trouble, and she usually dragged Khiaziri along with her.

Because of this, Allinor and Khiaziri were sent to Mother’s Mercy, a harsh “reform” place used to correct disobedience. What happens there is unpleasant, frightening, and enough to make anyone rethink ever breaking the rules again. 

After her experiences there, Allinor tried harder to behave… at least for a while.

Then, unexpectedly, she was promoted to a Scribe.

The Council members dont understand why. Allinor is forgetful, flaky, easily flustered, and constantly embarrassing herself. But for reasons the others can’t see, One Mother chooses her. 

Allinor, Khiaziri and Larxene share a secret goal: figuring out the true purpose of The Veil and escaping. They’ve tried repeatedly, but every attempt has failed. Still, they search for answers together, determined to find a way out someday.

Romantic Relationships: She's madly in love with Khiaziri ,but has convinced herself he could never return those feelings. What she can’t see is that Khiaziri loves her even more, hiding it, because I love slow burn romances! 

Their bond is full of unspoken moments, embarrassing disasters, hesitant glances, and a sexual tension sharp enough to cut glass. 

Trapped in a slow-burn, will they won’t they that will drive the audience insane as romantic moments gets interrupted or blue-balled into oblivion.

Khiaziri is the main male protagonist and a long-term Child of the Veil. Like everyone else, he showed up through a portal, and discovered he had no memories, no identity and zero say in anything. Standard Veil onboarding.

Unlike the others, Khiaziri gets hit with cryptic dejavu type visions. They are brief, confusing and overwhelming. He keeps them to himself, sharing them only with Allinor and Larxene.

When he first arrived, Khiaziri did not exactly thrive under One Mother’s strict regime. Feeling watched and powerless, he pushed back. It did not end well. Combined with the weird visions, the pressure eventually tipped him into paranoia.

One day, convinced his own face was not his own, he took a blade and violently cut it. He collapses and finds himself in Mother’s Mercy instead, where disobedient Children are sent to be reformed. Reform is agonising and unbearable.

The Council chose not to remove his scars, leaving them as a permanent reminder of his defiance. He is still strikingly beautiful, but he hides his scars behind a face covering.

Khiaziri and Allinor's relationship:

Khiaziri is deeply in love with Allinor in the quiet, hopeless way where he pretends, he isn’t. He guards his feelings, because eww emotions – who wants to express those?

Around Allinor, he shifts, softer, warmer, playful, like he remembers what it feels like to be a real person. He finds himself saying things he didn’t plan to say, standing closer than he meant to stand, and losing every ounce of composure he has left.

They have the world’s most painfully will-they-won’t-they dynamic.

Outwardly, he’s the picture of discipline, training as a Scribe and following every rule. Underneath, he is holding onto one dangerous truth: he would burn the Veil and himself to the ground if it meant keeping her safe.

And together with Larxene, the three of them share the same hidden goal: uncover the truth of the Veil… and escape it before it destroys them.

Larxene is a doll who was made by a cruel master for one purpose: to perform for his pleasure. He took everything from her, broke her, and when she had nothing left to give, he threw her away.  The trauma erased his face from her memory, though that missing piece returns to her by the end of the series.  

Allinor later discovers Larxene abandoned in a forgotten corner of the Veil, broken and stiff like a statue. With the help of Khiaziri they help bring her back to House Mistmere, where Sister Mireya allows her to stay.

Through Allinor’s compassion and care, Larxene slowly returns to life. She gains movement, a voice and her first experience of free will. For the first time she was allowed to choose something for herself, including her own name, “Larxene”. What was once forced upon her, she now embraces with joy. She dances and sings because she wants to, offering comfort, warmth and joy to House Mistmere. Although still haunted by the trauma of her past, she smiles on regardless.

Larxene, Khiaziri and Allinor bond together in a close friendship (reminiscent of a Kingdom Hearts trio 🥹)

Larxene’s love for Allinor begins as innocent devotion but may blossom into something more romantic as the story progresses. She is deeply attached to her, seeing her as her light, her anchor and the person who gave her a life worth living.

The residents of House Mistmere love Larxene and do not see her as a doll, but as a real woman and respect her as such. She will be written in a way that the audience will love her too.

Larxene dreams of one day becoming a “real girl” with a soul and a heart, unaware she already carries more empathy, love and humanity than most living beings.   She’s innocent, sweet, and painfully naïve. A little ball of sunshine. But beneath that, her story asks a bigger question… can a doll become a living being, and learn the complexity of human emotions without being destroyed by it?

FUN FACT: her arc was loosely inspired by the animated series: Violet Evergarden.

Trigger Warnings: In a later episode Larxene will remember who her abuser was. These scenes will be emotionally raw and may involve mental, emotional and physical abuse, as well as coercive physical advances such as unwanted or forced physical contact (forced kissing and touching)

Vaelinth is the rarest kind of vampire, mixed with chameleon blood, which allows him to shift seamlessly between his masculine form, Vaelinth, and his feminine form, Vaelinthysia.

Some people in the Veil have “opinions” about this. Transphobia shouldn’t exist in any world,  but unfortunately it still does. Vaelinth deals with them like a savage. This once escalated into Vaelinthysia turning someone into a cow. It was a whole thing. The Veil still hasn’t shut up about it. After that, people learned to keep their shit takes to themselves.

Vampires are forbidden from turning anyone in the Veil into a vampire. Vaelinth however, is the only  one allowed to “taste” the Children of the Veil (a title - they're adults)

Tasting is a form of vampiric feeding used to absorb a child’s essence and judge their “aura”, granting Vaelinth the ability to shapeshift into them. Usually correctly. Results may vary.

Obviously, they've tasted every Child in the Veil, and yes, you’ve guessed it…. that means they can shift into any one of them. Of course they use this to spy – who wouldn’t?

Feeding, is a personal art form for Vaelinth. He loves it. Every flavour unique, and he remembers them all.

What he doesn’t remember are people's names. He is forgetful by nature, and names only stick if you genuinely matter. Entire centuries of Children blur together, but if he remembers who you are, congratulations. You are important to him.

Because of these unique powers, and because One Mother is his sister (nepotism lol), Vaelinth holds an important position on One Mother’s Council.

Vaelinth shows up to Council work reluctantly. Work is boring and genuinely an irritation. The rules are endless, and he ignores half of them anyway, which annoy his sister. She threatens to punish him often, never following through, of course.

VAELINTH AND BONESWORTH

Vaelinth shares a heartfelt bond with his skeleton butler, Bonesworth. Think Batman, if Batman were a gender-fluid vampire menace, and Alfred were a literal skeleton.

Bonesworth was created from a stray bone Vaelinth found. What began as an experiment grew into the closest thing he has ever known to family. Bonesworth was a great support in Vaelinth’s gender identity journey, something Vaelinth cherishes more than he would ever admit.

When Vaelinth realises how lonely Bonesworth is, he secretly gives life to every  bone in the Veil so Bonesworth can meet other skeletons.

Vaelinth has never admitted this was his doing. As if he would openly acknowledge loving and caring for Bonesworth like a brother. Bonesworth knows it was him and understands Vaelinth in a way no one ever has. PEAK BROMANCE.

Secret Romance Arc– cute and important 

Vaelinthysia/Vaelinth has never experienced true romantic love before, they've only had meaningless flings, so when it happens it hits them hard, at a huge cost, it will change them forever as a person. This romantic relationship with Cordelia could only ever exist in secret (Veil law forbids it) with serious consequences, mainly for Cordelia if discovered.

Background

Cordelia is assigned to House Mistmere and is a vampire, which in the Veil means being spicier, sassier, and loving harder than is sensible. Cordelia takes this and turns it up to maximum.

For the first few episodes, her entire personality is very simple. She loudly and unapologetically thirsts over Lady Vaelinthysia. If the Veil had social media, Cordelia would be gushing over her on Twitter, like a k-pop stan screaming about their bias.

She will do almost anything for Vaelinthysia to look at her, to acknowledge that she exists. For a long time, Vaelinthysia does not.

That changes after a chance encounter , where Cordelia openly and brutally defends Vaelinthysia against a bigot. What Cordelia doesn’t realise is that the person standing nearby is Vaelinthysia herself, shapeshifting as someone else and listening. The encounter ends with Vaelinthysia revealing herself and turning the transphobe into a cow. Oh, how I love fantasy.

There’s a slow-motion glance where their eyes meet, k-drama style. Insert soppy,  k-drama romance song here. Vaelinthysia plays it cool. Cordelia absolutely does not.

Vaelinthysia gives nothing away and moves on like nothing happened. Vaelinthysia did notice her though, and in her own quiet way can’t forget her. From that point on, she starts doing things discreetly. Anonymous gifts. Watching from a distance…. Things then escalate into a secret forbidden romance.

Its is against Veil law for a council member to be romantically involved with a Child of the Veil.

Bonesworth’s character was inspired by Alfred from Batman, and his relationship with Vaelinth/Vaelinthysia is very much that vibe. Vaelinth is reckless, and a lot to manage. Bonesworth is the steady constant who keeps them alive, functional, and vaguely respectable. Vaelinth would not survive without him. 

He was created by Vaelinth from a single stray bone found in the Veil. Bonesworth became Vaelinth’s personal butler, handler, and essentially their memory. If Vaelinth forgets something, loses something, ignores something, or pretends something “isn’t important”, Bonesworth is already holding it, tracking it, filing it, or quietly fixing it.

Vaelinth’s and Bonesworth’s love language is aggressive banter, dry humour, and an unspoken bromance that runs deep. Bonesworth is loyal and Vaelinth trusts him more than they would ever admit. Bonesworth is the only person who can tell Vaelinth “no” with perfect manners and still not get turned into a cow (don’t ask).

Bonesworth was also a huge emotional support in Vaelinth’s gender identity journey, in a big brother way. Advice, reassurance, steady presence, and genuine love. Bonesworth is the only person who really understands Vaelinth in a way no one else in the Veil does. 

Alongside being Vaelinth’s personal butler, Bonesworth also assists in serving One Mother’s Council. He handles messages, summons, deliveries, schedules, and all the practical work that keeps the Sanctum running smoothly while everyone else is busy being ancient and weird. 

When Vaelinth realised how lonely Bonesworth feels, they quietly gave life to the forgotten bones of the Veil so Bonesworth would not be the only one of his kind. It is through that act of secret compassion that Bonesworth meets Bonehilda, the love of his life. Vaelinth will never admit they did it. Bonesworth will never embarrass them by saying it out loud. They both know.

FUN FACT: Bonesworth is my favourite character. I fully invent scenes just to give him more screen time. Supporting role but main in my heart.

Sister Mireya is a long-standing member of One Mother’s Order, and the Governess of House Mistmere. Her job is to take in the Children assigned to her House and make sure they don’t fall apart. She gives them structure, routine, rules, and the kind of stability you cling to when you’ve arrived with no memory and no idea what’s going on.

Mireya is strict. No one’s debating that. But her love runs deeper than she lets on. She looks after the Children of Mistmere fiercely, even if she hides it behind discipline and a permanent “don’t test me” vibe. She holds them to high standards because she genuinely believes they deserve better. She is protective and defensive over them and gives strong mama vibes

As a Sister of the Order, Mireya was created to uphold One Mother’s decisions with unwavering loyalty. For most of her existence, she followed the Council without question, because that’s what Sisters do.

But as the series progresses, cracks begin to form.

When One Mother, makes a decision about someone in Mireya’s care, a judgement so unjust, unexplained, and cruel, something shifts inside her. For the first time, Mireya starts having thoughts she was never meant to have. Not just about the decision, but about the obedience she’s built her entire existence on.

Sister Mireya is one of the Veil’s most dependable caretakers, firm, disciplined, deeply caring, the steady force that keeps House Mistmere standing. But her heart may one day push her further than the Council ever intended.

Leonis is the new guy dumped into House Mistmere, and he arrives with the exact vibe of a temp on his first day who has not been told a single thing about the job.

 Everyone else has already adjusted to the Veil and its weirdness. Leonis shows up like, “Hi. Sorry. What the hell is all of this? Who am I? AND WHAT AM I DOING HERE?”

Sister Mireya, the Governess of House Mistmere, takes one look at him, realises he is going to be a lot, and immediately decides he’s not her problem. She passes him off to Khiaziri with a perfect “Here. You deal with him.”

Khiaziri now has the job as his glorified babysitter, explaining the Veil and generally preventing him from spiralling . Khiaziri tries his best. but Leonis hears none of it because he is too busy spiralling.

And because the Veil has a dark sense of humour, Leonis is assigned to the kitchens… after he nervously admits he should not be trusted around sharp objects. Khiaziri interprets this as “lol, nerves,” instead of the obvious red flag.

While everyone else moves through their tasks like Witcher npcs, Leonis is the only one acting appropriately confused. He reacts exactly how the audience would react, and asks the appropriate questions going through the audience’s mind: Huh? What do you mean this is NORMAL? Bro is this a cult?

Leonis is fragile. He’s scared of everything and confused by everything, and somehow this makes him the most relatable person in the entire Veil.

Unfortunately, due to the Veil being, well weird, it takes a huge toll on his mental health, and he starts going down hill....fast

The Children of the Veil arrive in One Mother’s Sanctum lost, disoriented, and with no memory of who they are or where they came from. The Sanctum receives them like this is normal, like it happens every day, because for the Order, it does.

This is where One Mother comes in. 

She and her Order take the Children in and give them what they don’t have: a name, a House, a job. A “purpose”. None of it is chosen. They are assigned, placed, and instructed, and the system is presented as care and protection. But it’s also control. The Children are trapped in her Sanctum, and the only life they are allowed to understand is the one she gives them. Whether One Mother is truly saving them or brainwashing them is the big question. 

The Children cannot rebel or refuse her choices or try unorthodox methods of leaving the Veil. Disagreement is treated as defiance. “Naughty” Children are sent to Mother’s Mercy to be reformed, and reform is agonising. Many who return come back …. different. 

Under One Mother. sits her Council, and under them Brothers and Sisters. Their job is to manage the Sanctum, keep order, and turn lost children into functioning parts of the machine. If the Children start asking the wrong questions too early, the routine answers for them.

And the thing is, it works. Most of the time. Purpose is easier than panic.

One Mother has the final say in everything. She rules the Holy Sanctum with  authority, but what she is, remains frustratingly unclear. She has many titles, none of them useful. Is she a goddess? A demon?  A cult leader with elite branding? She never claims divinity, and yet the inhabitants worship her like she is a goddess anyway. 

She doesn’t have as much screen time, but when she does, everything stops. One Mother is regal, composed, and terrifyingly authoritative. The Court rearranges itself around her without being told.

And then there’s Vaelinth, her younger vampire sibling, which only makes her feel more impossible. Because if she is something beyond understanding, why does she have a sibling at all? What does that make them. The Veil doesn’t explain. It simply exists. It offers no FAQ, only titles, rituals, and the quiet understanding that you do not ask the wrong questions too loudly.

Forged as one entity in the Beginning and later split by the Veil, Iskiel and Oskiel exist as two fractured halves of what once was whole.

Iskiel is a Keeper of Reflections, part of One Mother’s Order. Their role is to train and mentor Scribes until they can ascend. In Episode 2, Iskiel becomes Allinor’s mentor, guiding her through the Reflection process and what it means to carry Second Sight.

A Scribe is gifted Second Sight, which means they can enter Reflections. Reflections are emotional flashbacks of other people’s lives, but it’s not just watching. Scribes feel what the host feels, grief, panic, fear, every ugly emotion people pretend they don’t have. The Scribe’s purpose is to record the actions of what happened, and analyse the emotions behind it, writing it all down in a diary that would absolutely get you blocked in any normal world.

A Keeper of Reflections makes sure a Scribe can withstand that. Iskiel teaches control, focus, and endurance. How to stay themselves while carrying someone else’s emotional weight. How to walk back out of a Reflection with their mind intact.

Iskiel is an ancient being, wise, calm, and frighteningly perceptive. Great at reading people, sensing aura, and picking up on what someone is feeling even when they’re trying to hide it. 

Both Iskiel and Oskiel share that ability, and their gothic character design is inspired by the movie The Crow (1994), their nature is the opposite of their appearance. They are soft, patient, and gentle, steady presences who guide Scribes through Reflections.

Fun Fact: Iskiel has a fondness for jam. Enough of a fondness that they’ve been caught stealing a staff member’s jam, denied it completely, and created low-level office beef that will never be resolved.

Lyceria works at the Registry Office in Mother’s Gaze (Realm of Reflections). Where the paperwork is infinite and staffing is… a concept. Due to budget cuts she’s expected to do the work of five people. The Veil said, “do more with less” and meant it.

The paperwork is endless There are forms for everything, records for everything, and she has deadlines to meet. Something always goes wrong, and every day is never a simple day at the office.

She’s always behind, always stressed, and if you add yourself to her already cursed to-do list, she will scream at you. She does not have time for detours, questions, or anyone showing up with “just a quick thing”.

She also holds office grudges. Iskiel stole her jam and she’s never let it go. She has serious beef with them now. You really wouldn’t want to be Iskiel.

The staff has a communal noticeboard for messages, kind of like an office Teams chat. Good luck trying to reach her through that. She doesn’t read them, she doesn’t care, and if she does happen to see it, she’ll find a way to make it not her problem.

She also thinks staff bonding days are a complete waste of time. Cringe, awkward, and somehow always involving a forced icebreaker like “two truths and a lie”. Who invented those icebreakers anyway? She just wants to talk to them.

Her sister is Aeris at the apothecary, meaning Lyceria technically has access to calming tonics… and still chooses violence.

Aeris runs the apothecary in Mother’s Gaze, which is basically the only place in the Sanctum where someone can walk out holding a tea that allegedly fixes your whole life. Herbs, tonics, teas, crystals, charms. If it can be brewed, bottled, or whispered over, Aeris is on it.

Her whole vibe is spiritual. Tarot, astrology, crystals, energies, “your aura is… loud today”. She’s the type to side-eye you, hand you something that tastes like death, and somehow you feel better after.
She also talks like you're supposed to know all this mystical stuff and makes you look dumb if you don't.

If Mercury is in retrograde, she will mention it, even if you didn’t ask.

She’s Lyceria’s older sister, Aeris is  calmer than Lyceria, but she’s still blunt as hell. 

She has always calming tonics on hand. Whether she shares them with Lyceria depends on what mood Lyceria’s in.

Brother Raphael is a long-standing member of One Mother’s Order and the Governor of House Blackthorne. He carries himself with the confidence of a man who thinks has rizz. He does not. He’s basically the town pervert. Every place has one.

Raphael’s eyes are a problem. He looks women up and down slowly, openly, and with zero shame. He makes it painfully clear he thinks women exist for his consumption.

He speaks in an overly dramatic, flowery way, like he’s constantly performing to an imaginary audience. His flirting style is what happens when alpha-male confidence collides with fantasy language. Gross pickup lines like, “Raphael sits so sweetly on your tongue.” Yes. He says this. Out loud.

He showers One Mother and the Council with exaggerated praise, theatrical flattery, and fake devotion, hoping someone will finally notice him and tell him he’s special. People do notice, but not the way he wants them to.

Young women avoid being left alone with him. Men dislike him on sight. Everyone else clocks him instantly as “that guy.” 

Raphael fixates on Allinor the moment he sees her and immediately decides she will want him. Her visible discomfort, avoidance, and complete lack of interest do not register. He takes it as encouragement. He invents excuses to get her alone, to linger, to “have a private word,” usually framed as official business or fake concern.

He is especially obsessed with getting her to visit House Blackthorne. Alone. It's never subtle. It is never appropriate. 

Part of the reason Raphael gets away with so much of his behaviour is simple. His relative sits on the Silent Council, which operates above One Mother. It’s never stated outright, but the protection is obvious.

Raphael wants sex, status, attention, and he believes he is entitled to all of it. He uses whatever sleazy, manipulative tactics he thinks count as flirting, fully convinced persistence is romance, and refusal is just playing hard to get.

Xalorien is a member of One Mother’s Council. The Council are her advisors and senior leads, each with their own power, speciality, and area they oversee. Think office department heads, except the department is an ancient Sanctum and the consequences aren’t a random Teams call jump scare.

Each Councillor has Children assigned to them,  they keep tabs on whether they’re on track, and they recommend to One Mother what roles, duties and paths those Children should be given. The Children don’t get a say. Their purpose is decided for them and handed over like a job description.

Xalorien’s magic is fire. He can see through flame, using it to keep an eye on the Children assigned to him.

He is physical attracted to Selunara, who for him is a 10, but her personality is shit making her a 5. Unfortunately, part of him still wants to pull her, which is between him and his dignity.
She’s not interested in him anyway. She has a long line of men try to pull her.

Selunara is a member of One Mother’s Council, which for her means she has authority, influence, and absolutely no interest in being approachable. She sees the Children as something to assess and manage, not comfort. She expects discipline, obedience, and results, and she has very little patience for anyone who doesn’t fit her idea of what “worthy” looks like.

Selunara is high maintenance, has painfully high standards, and absolutely knows she has pretty privilege. If this was Y2K, she’d be Regina George with better posture and a title. Many men find her physically attractive, and she’s had no shortage of suitors approach, but they’re never good enough “ugh, men”

Selunara does not like Allinor, and she makes it obvious. She does not agree that Allinor should have been put forward to become a Scribe, and she treats the entire idea like the Council are entertaining a bad suggestion.

Gatekeepers stand watch at the major portals across the Sanctum. Their job is simple: control access. If you don’t have permission, you’re not getting in. No pleading, no bargaining, no “but I’m besties with a council member”, and definitely no slipping them a fiver.

They all look the same and sound the same. I literally CTRL C + CTRL V (mainly because I’m lazy and didn’t want to create ten different Gatekeepers and audition ten different roles), but ngl it kinda slaps.

When a Gatekeeper speaks, it’s never casual. They boom. They declare. They don’t soften the message, and they don’t care if you’re frightened. They got their degree at FANTASYGATEKEEPERSCHOOL.COM, They have it hanging on their wall and everything. They had to endure hours of yelling “YOU SHALL NOT PASS” so they mean business.

Seer Nytheria sits on One Mother’s Council as an advisor, and she takes that role seriously. She’s old-school, formal, and very big on duty. Rules matter. Structure matters. She expects people to conduct themselves properly, and she has zero patience for nonsense.

Nytheria receives visions of different possible futures for the Children of the Veil, but they don’t arrive as clear answers. They come as symbols, riddles and strange, fragmented images, and they can be difficult to decipher. She’s seeing possibilities, not guarantees, which means she can interpret them wrong, or place her trust in the wrong outcome. Sometimes she only realises what a vision meant after it’s already unfolding.

To sum up Brother Emery: he’s a smug asshole. But if you want more tea, here’s the slightly longer version.

He’s the Governor of House Ashen. Status is his whole thing. Being seen. Being chosen. Being first. If someone gets considered before “his” House, he doesn’t process that quietly. He says it out loud, immediately, to everyone, because obviously they all need to hear his opinion.

He’s jealous, full of ego and pride, and has absolutely no filter, which makes him a problem the moment he enters a room.

He’s rude, obnoxious and condescending. One of those pricks who loves finding faults in everyone else while genuinely believing he’s perfect.

Voice: old hag voice or old-witch style creaky voice.. She can flip into fake-sweet instantly and serve a backhanded compliment with a smile.

Personality/Traits: venomous, judgemental, petty, smug, nosy, manipulative, two-faced, thrives on drama, cruel, , loves to stir, gossiper.

Delilah was once very beautiful, but years of venomous words, foul gossip and bigoted shit takes have twisted her into a literal ugly monster. The nickname “the Hag” isn’t just rude. It’s accurate.

She has some ignorant anti trans views and it honestly wouldn’t surprise anyone if she’s judgmental about plenty of other things too. If there’s a way to be cruel, the Hag will probably find it

She lives to gossip, stir, and poison the air in a room, then act confused when people don’t want her there.

 A person who is an expert at giving a backhanded compliment. Like the auntie you avoid at family functions: “Oh, don’t you look healthy.” Translation: “You’re fat. Who will marry you now?”

She’s generally disliked by people (people with a moral compass), but she still gets attention because she always has the tea. The Hag has more “news” than a daily newspaper, and she makes sure everyone knows it.

An Echo is a bright, glowing spirit-figure used across the Veil for practical tasks. Think of an Echo like a modern-day bot: it exists to serve and carry out instructions for the person controlling it, e.g. messengers, assistants etc.

Although the true origins of an Echo remain a mystery, there is more to them than you realise.

Voice: Any gendered voice or accent  The voice must sound lifeless, hollow and monotone, similar to a bot voice -( kinda uncanny valley human). Extra points to those who can edit their auditions to sound like they’re echoing.

Nur is House Mistmere's seamstress and appears briefly in Episode One. She is a Child of the Veil assigned to House Mistmere, with the possibility of more appearances in later episodes

Voice: creature noises: cackles, high-pitched and sharp, making a string of unpleasant, skittering screechy creature noises. If you want to improvise and make your own made up creature language go for it! Also feel free to edit your audio to sound more like a mischievous creature!

Background:
Hexlings are cursed creatures, no one wants to see one and no one in the Veil really understand why they appear. They are pests and are a nuisance, they can create havoc and mess with your things.

For reasons no one questions, there’s a delivery service called Amazon. In a period fantasy setting where everyone talks like they’re in Bridgerton… this man turns up sounding like he’s wandered in from EastEnders.

He shows up at House Mistmere to deliver a literal chained, gagged human vessel , unbothered. He’s more bothered about the missing delivery note.

He doesn’t care about lore. He doesn’t explain himself. He drops the delivery, shrugs and walks off like he’s just nipping to the Pub.
