Welcome to Mob Psycho 100 Abridged
This is a parody series of Mob Psycho 100 to be aired on YouTube.
We'll start with episode 1 - as the script and storyboarding is done.
If the video gains any sort of traction or interest and enough of the cast wishes to continue we'll go ahead and run for a complete season 1.
All those who audition are only expected to stay in the project until the completion of Episode 1.
If the video succeeds then we'll negotiate our way from there.

*Note* only the characters in episode 1 are up for audition. If the project continues then I'll post an update and restructure the casting call to contain all the roles for further episodes.

Reigen Arataka is going to appear to be a legit esper in the abridged.
I'm looking for a very specific voice for this character, however, if you want to audition with something else you think would work then do so.
Futurama Character Zapp Brannigan voiced by Billy West. I'm looking for an impressionist.

Notes to auditionees: Whatever you do, make sure you give this character lots of ENERGY. If you sound bored in your audition then I'll be bored listening to it.

(You can sense a ghost, sound like you're a little concerned) "I can sense it…"
(Yell this line like you just shat yourself.)
"IT’S HERE!"
(Sound prideful! You're convincing a legit customer that you're the best in the biz!)
“Now then Ma’am let me show you just what I can do.”
(The ghost has shown itself. Keep a cool head and handle the situation. You're hot stuff.)
“Let me handle this ma’am.”
(Imagine yourself twisting as you throw this salt and how that effects your breathing and grunting.)
*Sounds of rapidly throwing salt*
Mob in the abridged goes by Bob.
Ideally we're looking for a Brooklyn accent for this character. However, we might accept Boston as well.
(Play it off casual)
"If you wanted that one to yourself then you should've worked harder for it - NOOB."
“Hmm no thank you.”
(Sensually obsessed with Reigen's books)
“On second thought I will take some of your books.”
(Internal thoughts)
“Hmmmm Books…”
(Genuinely apologetic)
“I’m sorry man. To be honest, when I showed up I was more worried about *it* than who’s kill it was. They scare me sometimes, y’know?”
Super genuine nice guy. Looking for an authentic middle-aged British (received pronounciation) accent.
The lines posted are the only ones they have.
(Super casual delivery.)
“Honey you’re the one who asked me to come.”
(Just realised a ghost is behind him.)
*Super nervous* “Huuhhhh??”
(Looked back, saw the ghost. Give me your honest reaction to an every day normal dude seeing a ghost!)
*Scream in terror*
Give this character any voice you feel is appropriate. Pretty much the best scream wins this one.
(Super dark, low and sinister)
“Are you ready to die mortal?”
(Calm and chill)
“Hey wassup man? How you doin’? I’m just here hanging out.”
“Huh?”
(About a 2 second long scream.)
*Screams as they are getting erased from existence.*
We're looking for an over the top stereotypical italian accent.
If you can't do it, try any other accent - we're open to new interpretations.
Could try British if you want.
(If normal delivery of this line is at about 40% energy - I want you to deliver it with 100% energy.)
“Wow sweety that really is an amazing talent! Your father and I are really proud of you, y'know that?”
(Normal delivery of the line ~ 40% energy.)
“Oh that’s right sweety. A nice man called about a potential job for you starting tomorrow. Said his name was Ray Gen - Ronald Raegan.”
(Exaggerate exaggerate exaggerate. All the family members say this line at the same time. I need the WHAAAAT to be about 2 seconds long.)
“You did WHAAAAT?!?!?!”
We're looking for an over the top stereotypical italian accent. for this character as well.
As always feel free to try out other accents - but whatever you do communicating the fatherly figure voice is most important.
(A proud father agreeing with his wife. A nice wholesome delivery is perfect.)
“Damn straight! That’s our boy - spoon bending champion of the world!”
(Exaggerate exaggerate exaggerate. All the family members say this line at the same time. I need the WHAAAAT to be about 2 seconds long.)

We're looking for someone who can portray a total edgelord. Edgy North American protagonist sort of vibes.
The more edgy it is, the more likely you are to get the role.

(I want you to really over-act this line. Make it super dramatic and give it loads of energy.)
“Here I’ll bend it back into shape no problem. You know you should really stop doing it at the dinner table.”
(Now bring that energy back down to normal levels. Give me a hint of venom in the delivery.)
“Here take it I fixed it up for you.”
(Exaggerate exaggerate exaggerate. All the family members say this line at the same time. I need the WHAAAAT to be about 2 seconds long.)

Preferrably a deep adult male voice. We're not looking for anything too wacky with this role.
Ideally a commanding and booming voice. The most important thing is to make it sound as natural as possible.
There are all sorts of characters with wacky voices - this isn't one of them.
(Speak boldy and with gravitas.)
(Looking for a slight elongation on the word.)
“Psychics”
(Casual narration voice.)
(I'm not looking for a fast-pace delivery.)
“After being punished by his family Bob resumed his normal life. It was all going well - he was even excelling in Math… until *he* called.”
(Once again speak boldly and with gravitas.)
“Reigen’s special super-salt punch attack!”
We're looking for a commanding voice with gravitas. It needs to be stern and booming so that when you read these lines it makes the voice seem totally out of place.
If you cringe at your own audition you're doing it right.
Any accent is acceptable.
(This is in caps. It is shouted/yelled. I'm not looking for pitch perfect timing and inflexions with this - that's something we'll work on after your cast. All I'm wanting is proof you've got the right voice & can shout and scream.)
