"Blue Boundary" chronicles the life of teenage boy, Dares, across two timelines. He drowns in the first timeline, and must use the subconscious knowledge of these events to survive in the second one, even as he develops powers that attract predatory shades.

Everyone may audition for as many roles as they want.
All auditions MUST be sent in as a .wav file and MUST be recorded in 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, mono and have no background noise or static.
Please keep in mind that this project is a long term project. The story is still being written with voice lines being green lit to record as the story is written. So we will need your utmost patience and commitment upon being cast.

A 14 year old boy returning home to find himself, discovers his psychic abilities and must master his powers and link with his friends to face off against malevolent spirits.
High - medium ranged voice. Underdeveloped for a 14 year old.

“No. I don’t... I don't belong. This world has nothing for me. I don't belong anywhere. No one will miss me"
"Why did I have to survive? If I'd died back then, it would have been over. Now that I've survived, I have to keep going... Even when no one cares."
"Just shut up! Don't compare us like we're the same! You're just what's left of the people who thought immortality in a half-life was the easy way out to facing life's hardships! You won't confuse me anymore, I know who I am! I'm Dares - and I'm going to kick your shadowy asses back to Purgatory!"
Madam Charlotte is an antique/pawn shop owner and fortune teller. She believes in equivalent exchange and karmic balance, and trades in items with spiritual bonds to their owners. She acts as a mentor to Dares.
Sweet, sultry voice. Think young, powerful sorceress.
“Causality is a living, breathing thing. You will surely return to this shop, and we will surely meet again. Our lives too are threads in the tapestry, sewn together now"
“I mean it. I consider that boy my future merchandise, and as with the rest of my belongings - you can look, but you can’t touch.”
“That’s *Madam* Charlotte.”
Terumi Su is a 17 year old high school senior, tutor, and heir to town nobility. She mentors Dares in psychic abilities. She has low self esteem and is quick to martyr herself, partially due to conflict between her noble persona and real, suppressed personality. Her abilities include emotion reading and influence, telepathy, spirit soothing, and dream sharing/manipulation. She becomes so powerful that she sends part of her soul back in time to Dares, albeit accidentally.
Sweet, soft voice. Think like typical anime bookish schoolgirl.
“We crashed into each other at the same time, you don’t have to take all the blame.”
“Now what kind of role model senior student would I be if I didn’t help my juniors when they needed it?”
“It’s a short walk, why not join me? Since you *totally* aren’t doing anything you shouldn’t be.”
Jun is a childhood acquaintance of Dares's in both timelines, a studious and stubborn girl with stunted emotional maturity after being forced to grow up quick to care for her disabled mother. In the main timeline, she's separated from Dares during a house fire when she is kidnapped by a shade.
"We'll want to commemorate this moment."
"You're one to talk. You've got these big sad eyes like you're wounded, but as soon as anyone tries to help, you push them away."
"You're right. I don't have any idea what you've been through. How can I know if you won't tell me?"
A mysterious witch with a connection to Dares with a drawn-out, otherworldly voice.
"Do you remember the promise you couldn't keep?"
"You didn't do anything to me. You just forgot about me. You have Jun and Shunpei and Terumi now... all I had was you."
"I've missed you, Dares. You have no idea how long I've waited. You have no comprehension of the pain of being forgotten, at least your family just disappeared. I never had a family, only you. And as I told you ten years ago - You. Are. Mine."
