UnderMetal: A Fantasy Based Undertale AU (Voice Actors, Artists, Etc. Need)

Project Overview

This project is going to be a series of autobooks, comics, and videos about a new Undertale AU based on fantasy and power metal. This AU is going to be called UnderMetal and it will not be set in The Underground, but instead it will set in the Ebott Mountains. The monsters also have slightly changed personalities and backstories to fit the bands that they are going to be based on. In this project, I am going to be the main writer and the voice of River Person, but I still need the voices of the other main characters, some artists, some audio editors, and some video producers.   • Before You Ask

    The basis of the characters and their themes will stay the same. This original idea was just a little too ambitious.

Chara is a young, determined child and the main protagonist of UnderMetal. They are 10 years old and grew up as the youngest of a family of human nobles in the kingdom of Avalon. They learned of the tales that told of a kingdom of monsters in the mountains and they were curious about this. When Chara went up the mountains, they found a giant hole in the mountain. They tried to get closer to see what is down there, when suddenly, they tripped on a rock and fell into the hole. This leads to the beginning of the story of UnderMetal. (Note: There is no Frisk in this AU because Chara takes their place)

Flowey is a living, violent little flower. It is unknown of how Flowey became living in the first, but some say that his body found a lost monster soul to take in by unknown means. Nevertheless, he hates his body and just wants everyone to die for some strange reason. He has followed the previous humans who have come down to the mountains, hoping that they would kill all the other monsters in the mountains.

Toriel is the former queen of the Ebott Mountains and a kind, motherly goat. 12 years ago, she left her role as queen, also leaving the king in the process. The reason for this is because her child was lost to mysterious disaster and she blamed her husband for this. Since than, she has lived in the Old Ebott Fortress Ruins, caring for any travelers who came there.

Sans is the lazy sentry and the older brother of Papyrus. He loves telling jokes and being lazy. Secretly, he is one of the most powerful magic users in the mountains. Sans lives in Aurora Village, which is in the snow covered Deness Forest. He also has a mysterious past that he wishes not to talk about and tries to forget about it with his jokes.

Papyrus is the quirky guard and the younger brother of Sans. He is obsessed with capturing a human to prove that he is the best guard in all the mountains. Papyrus hopes that this will show the king that he has what it takes to become one of the royal knights. Until that day, he tries his hardest to achieve this goal by improving his traps and fighting skill. He also deeply cares for his brother, even though he can't stand Sans' jokes.

Grillby Flare

Grillby is the warmhearted Snow's Den Tavern inn keeper and one of Sans' closest friends. He is quite laid back, but he is not afraid of bar fights or heating things up when things get messy. He has been close friends with Sans for as he could remember, helping the skeleton out when he is in a bind.

Undyne is the strong, fearless head of the royal knights. She never gives up in a fight and is not welling to fail her king. She is also pretty close friends with Papyrus and Alphys. Asgore Dreemurr

Asgore Dreemurr is the king of the Ebott Mountains and a normally gentle, respectable goat. He is the 9th in the Dreemurr royal family of kings who ruled to protect the monsters of the Ebott Mountains at any cost. Asgore isn't completely proud of his family's legacy of killing the humans who enter the mountains in order to gain the human souls needed to break the barrier that blocks the mountains from the rest of the world. Having both the blood of one human child and the blame of his son's loss from his ex-wife on his hands, he stays in his castle of the New Ebott Tower, waiting for his chance with a human child and hoping to make up for what his family has done in the past.

Asriel Dreemur (Child)

Asriel Dreemurr was the former prince of the Ebott Mountains, the son of Toriel and Asgore, and a kind, yet curious young goat. He was always so curious about the world around him and the magic that flows through it. This curiosity would lead the young prince to his disappearance. At the age of 12, he joined in an experiment in mixing Monster Magic and Determination together to bridge the gap between the two types of magic. The experiment turned into a complete disaster when the magic reacted violently to each other. As a result, Asriel's body was vaporized and his soul was sent to parts unknown. Some say that the young prince's soul was bonded to one of those Echo Flowers.

As a child, Asriel doesn't have a theme.

Wayte was once a teenage human mage in training who traveled to Ebott Mountains in search for new magic to learn. In the mountains, he met the Royal Alchemist at the time, D. Gaster Skeleton, who decided to help the young human in his pursuit of magic by teaching him about Monster Magic. In turn for his lessons, Gaster told Wayte to help him in an experiment in bridging the gap between Determination and Monster Magic. Along with the young prince of Ebott, the young mage in training agreed to take his part in the experiment. During the experiment, the two types of magic reacted violently and vaporized both of the test subjects' bodies. While the soul of Asriel vanished, Wayte's soul stayed in the test chamber, completely inert. Gaster decided the experiment was a complete failure, put the remaining soul in a container, and told the Royal Family the bad news about their son. Later in secret, the alchemist put the human soul in a special suit of armor and made him the guardian of one of his later projects, The GATE.

D. Gaster Skeleton

D. Gaster Skeleton was the former Royal Alchemist for King Asgore and the older brother of the Skeleton Brothers, Sans and Papyrus. Taking the role of Royal Alchemist from his father, W. Archimedes Skeleton, Gaster had continued many of the experiments his father was doing in the study of connection between Monster Magic and Determination before Archimedes disappeared without a trace. To gain further information on the connection, Gaster created a special vessel that could bridge the gap between the two types of magic, calling it The GATE. This "GATE" used the energies of the realm between the magical and spiritual known as The Void to stabilize Human Souls into a state in which they could be used by monsters. Unfortunately, before the alchemist could show King Asgore or anyone else how The GATE worked, Gaster fell into the portal that powered the vessel, connecting The GATE to The Void.  Inside The Void, his body was distorted beyond anything known to monsterkind and Gaster has lost himself to this realm. He has tried many times to reconnect with the physical world, but all have been in vain. The only people who know of his fate are The Judge, The Guardian Of The Gate, The Chronicler, and any human children who have come to the mountains since his imprisonment in The Void.

  • (Grim and distorted) Darkness, all I see darkness and an endless void.  Dark, yet darker everything has become in my life. In realty, I am nothing to the world and nothing to time. Why is time so cruel to me?
