Project Overview
Hello everyone! My name is ThePuzzler13, or just Puzzler for short, and I am a member of the Blades of Despair team! We are currently looking into VAs who are willing to lend their voice for this project! This fangan is based on the written version of the same name, and we look forward to how everything plays out on screen!
Overview:
The events of Blades of Despair take place in the prestigious Seiko Academy. This institute’s students are each designated Ultimate Talents and are guaranteed success in their future endeavours. Orito Asaji is one such student who has been invited to attend the one hundredth class, with her talent of Ultimate Extreme Luck, a talent which randomly causes great fortune and misfortune. But after meeting her classmates, they are thrown into a deadly killing game where only one may survive.
Requirements for a member of the team:
-All of our work is on Discord, so we expect that all applicants have a discord account.
-For VAs, While we don't expect everyone to have a state-of-the-art microphone and studio, we expect that the audio we receive has little to no static, interference, or peaking, and that the voice is clear.
-If we discover that AI was used for any of the submissions, you will be automatically disqualified from the role/blacklisted.

Very little is known about Morino. His talent is a complete mystery, even to him. Nonetheless, he possesses infallible logic, a cool head and powerful skills of deduction and observation. He prefers to be alone and is sorely lacking in empathy. Many wonder what he hopes to achieve by attending Seiko Academy.
For Morino, he has a medium-low to low male voice. He rarely speaks with emotion, often using a monotone voice. He often pauses between sentences, and is very lethargic in the way he speaks.

This character is a man in his early forties. For spoiler reasons, physical descriptors will be withheld at this time and will only be shared with the successful applicant. This man likes to present widely as jovial, optimistic and charming, but this is mostly a façade to keep up appearances. He is authoritative, snarky and belittling of others when the aforementioned façade is no longer required. As such, applicants for this role need to be comfortable encapsulating a wide range of emotions. We are looking for some with a middle to low range for this role.

(in a joking way): “There you are! Where on earth have you been? I’ve been looking for you for ages! If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were avoiding me!”
(flattered, then embarrassed): “Aww, man – you got that gift for me?! You shouldn’t have! Now I feel bad I didn’t get anything for you.”
(low, intimidating, insidious): “You really thought I cared about that gift? Ha! Gifts means nothing to me, and neither. Do. You.”
This character is a woman in her late forties. For spoiler reasons, physical descriptors will be withheld at this time and will only be shared with the successful applicant. This woman possesses a soothing voice that can have both a calming or unsettling effect on the person she is speaking to. When speaking to strangers or other professionals, she is the type of person who will do her upmost to appear unperturbed by most situations, but it is very important to her that she is listened to, because then she is able to find points in people that she can manipulate. When speaking to people she knows, she has more of a ‘sickly sweet’ side to her character, which is her most unsettling trait. As a result, while the range of emotions that this character feels is no different to most, applicants will have to keep in mind that this character will do their very best to not betray them when speaking.

(in warning, but ‘sickly sweet’): “If you keep doing that, I’m going to be quite upset with you, and we don’t want that, do we? No, no we don’t! Isn’t that right? Aww, I knew you’d see things my way.”
(exasperated, but flustered): “Listen to me this instant! My word, have I taught you nothing?! Get out of my sight!”
