Project Overview
SUMMARY
Welcome everyone, my name is LatinFire. I am a voice actor, editor, gaming commentator, and online content creator. I create variety content on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter with a small following. I am putting out this casting call as my partner Skoringo and I are recasting the lead character for our Black Lagoon Abridged series. The series is underway, we are just looking to do minor edits (lip flaps, minimum sfx, and sync) and hopefully have the series out within the next 3-6 months.
SHOW SYNOPSIS
The series follows the Lagoon Company, a four-member team of pirate mercenaries smuggling goods in and around the seas of Southeast Asia with their PT boat, the Black Lagoon. The group takes on various jobs, usually involving criminal organizations and resulting in violent gunfights.
We are looking to recast our male lead Rokuro (Rock) Okijima.
REQUIREMENTS:
Talents are expected to be communicative and have a microphone of decent/professional quality. Limited noise/pop is allowed, no phone auditions and clear understanding of voice acting etiquette. Auditions not in compliance with these terms will be passed over for audition.

Rokuro (Rock) Okajima is the main protagonist of the series and the most expressive of the team. He is a Japanese businessman who turned into an unwitting pirate of the Black Lagoon. His usual demeanor to the antics of the Lagoon team is to be a scaredy-cat and usually has a flight response, trying to avoid getting shot at every turn. Hanging out with Revy, Dutch, and Benny doesn't seem to help him from having a heart attack at every turn.
(takes a drag of his cigarette, melancholy tone)
"Yeah, that's right. Some people like to die in the gutters, others like to go to war. Then there's me. When it comes down to it... I'm really no different from you."
(slams his bowl down on the table and stands up, the tone is dark, and warning Revy not to piss him off)
"In that case! I'll say it again! I didn't make any mistakes! I have nothing to apologize for! That's what I'm saying!"
(about to get shot at, slight girlish scream, almost as if he has pissed his pants...again)
"We haven't even been here for 5 seconds and they're already shooting at us. Jesus Revy, do you have to piss off EVERYONE you meet?"
