Arctica LP
Project Overview
Arctica is a gapless concept album telling the story of Mira, a resident of a futuristic and post-apocalyptic city, and the events that unfold when the same unstoppable foe that wiped out the majority of life on Earth comes knocking.

Mira is the main character of the album, and the album follows her trying to make amends with her ex-partner before accepting her death to the AI that has wiped out the majority of life (nicknamed the Banshees for their sound) at the end of the album, during the track 'Mira's Song'. She's strong and determined, but is understandably terrified about being thrust into a situation where she essentially has to confront her own death.
[Shaky voice. Sound should be fairly subdued, as in she's started to accept her fate but is no longer on the verge of tears. Play about with this line and any others to suit your own preferences, I'm a musician, not a writer]
Avery. Hi. This is a first for me, but by the time you’ll hear this...I might not be around. I’m in kind of a shitty situation, and I’m gonna try and get out if I can, but...they’re outside. And they’re not holding up, so. Yeah. I wanted to make amends, I guess. I’m sorry.[Probably the most emotional line in the album. Voice audibly shaky. 'Harper' should be said in the way that someone would say 'Hey Siri' or 'Alexa', though obviously keeping the emotion.]
I’m not going to die today. F*ck that shit. Harper, what other options do I have?
Harper is the digital assistant that Mira uses over the course of the album. Actor needs to have a fairly standard and neutral broadcasting voice, without too much emotion in the lines. The character can be any gender, though must be adult.
Did not understand the criteria “other options do I have”. Please refine your request.
Let me look that up. There have been multiple reports of unexpected delays resulting in all major transport systems being temporarily suspended.
Now calling 'Avery Robinson'.
Again, any gender. Preferable teen/young adult voice, though. The audition line is the only line, and the voice is somewhat garbled, playing as Ari enters her room at the beginning of track one. Scared voice, but I'll leave the role mainly open to your interpretation.
Mum, it’s me. It’s...it’s Alex. I’m holding up my apartment. Can you and Taylor call me as soon as you can? I-I don't know what to do.
Avery is Mira's ex-partner, and audition line is their only line in the album. They need to sound casual, like they're making up the message on the spot. Feel free to play around with the line to suit whatever sounds best for you. Again, gender and age don't matter.
Hey, Avery here! You've got through to my voice-mail. If you wanna leave a message, you know what to do. If you don't...that's...fine too. I'll call you back either way.
