Project Overview
ABOUT
This project aims to be a full comic dub of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Mega Drive and Mega Drive: The Next Level Issues. While there are other dubs of these issues I wanted to take my own crack at getting them dubbed.
AUDITIONING
Interested in trying out for a role? Great! Below you'll find the roles for the characters, each one will have an image, a brief description and some voice lines, naturally. For the actual project, we have a voice director on staff to help provide vocal direction for your performance.
As far as the actual auditions go, I have a few general things that I'd like to say:
- Provide at least two takes of every line in AA BB CC format, each take, try to use a different tone.
- Don't feel obligated to imitate any previous VA that has played said character that you're auditioning for, if you can do it really well then cool! Though it isn't mandatory.
- Clean, unedited audio! Don't add any filters/effects. I want to hear your voice unfiltered and unaltered
- Play around with your voice and add improv if you think it will show more of what you can do!

Ever since stepping into the battle against iniquity, Sonic has been the champion of peace and is renowned all over the world for saving it countless times. During his many adventures, Sonic has traveled from the ends of the world to the far reaches of space and time, facing countless trials that have tested him to the fullest, earning him many titles, allies, and the scorns of several foes. Well-known for his legendary cocky attitude, easy-going demeanor, and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice, compassion, and love for freedom and adventure, Sonic uses his abilities to protect the innocent from his world and those beyond from the forces of evil, especially his arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman.
Hey Tails! What are you doing here? Aside from being menaced, I mean. Nevermind-- you can tell me after I trash this thing! (Cocky)
Get a room you two! (teasing Eggman talking to his gear)

Taylor
A gentle and sweet-natured soul, Tails was initially timid and lacked courage. After meeting Sonic, however, Tails has become more confident, eventually growing into a more outgoing, brave, independent individual and a hero in his own right. Since encountering Sonic, Tails has looked up to him and stood by his side, helping him whenever he can during their adventures.

Amy is a cheerful, though slightly erratic girl, with a positive attitude and boundless energy. However, she has a scary temper and her infatuation with Sonic makes her shortsighted and a bit obsessive about him, having followed him everywhere since meeting him. Nevertheless, she has a pure heart and will not let anything stop her.
Sonic, I knew I'd find you! (relieved and happy)
Isn't it obvious? I want to travel more with you! (cutesy)
Hee! It all started when Dr. Eggman chained Litte Planet to a mountain-- (bubbly, telling Tails a story)

A loner by nature, Knuckles is independent, headstrong and serious, yet gullible and short-tempered to a fault. He is entirely devoted to his duty, spending most of his time on Angel Island protecting the Master Emerald, and rarely cares for anything that is of no importance. When his friends and others are in need of his help, however, Knuckles can always be relied on being willing to leave his post and prove himself a faithful and good-hearted hero. He is also one of Sonic's oldest friends and rivals.
Enough games! Give up the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic! (angry, demanding)
So... are you going to surrender the Chaos Emeralds or what? (asking, aloof)

Doctor_Throwback
While the doctor's plans initially consisted of building incredible armies by turning animals into robots and using them to dominate the land, Dr. Eggman's schemes have since branched into much more global threats as he built war machines, used nuclear devices to threaten entire nations, and even relied on mythological and ancient deities bent on destruction to achieve his goals. Eventually, the mad scientist has gone as far as to target the entire universe and cooked up schemes to control time and space itself.
While all these plans end in failure thanks to the continued efforts of Sonic and his friends, the mad doctor is somehow always able to slip away from certain death or imprisonment and escape at the last moment, making him a constant threat to the universe and a thorn in Sonic's side.
Ahh!! Such exquisite craftsmanship! Don't worry little Ancient Gear! I'll find your buddies and together you'll power my latest, greatest, engine of destruction-- the Mega Drive!! OOH-HOO-HOO! (boasting about his new machine and then laughing)
NOOOO! Hate you hate you HATE YOU! (Angry screaming at Sonic)
...Now let's just take a moment and be calm, rational people about this... (afraid of Sonic and pals)

The story so far... Sonic the Hedgehog has always been there to stop Dr. Eggman'a nasty schemes! When Dr. Eggman tried to mine the Chaos Emeralds from South Island, Sonic found them first!
The mustachioed mad man is up to something yet again, and Sonic is out to stop him!
And this time he's going to need even more than just speed to foil the doctor's scheme!
