Arcane Abridged: Act I
Project Overview
Arcane Abridged is an upcoming project that is planned to release on YouTube. It is a parody of the hit League of Legends streaming show 'ARCANE' produced by Riot Games.
The video is planned to be the first of three parts that will eventually cover the entirety of the first season of the show. This is a casting call for the first part, which covers Act 1 (Episodes 1-3) of the show.
This is an unpaid parody project. We are looking for talented volunteers to bring the script we've written to life. A number of the speaking roles have already been filled, so we're now seeking to fill the remaining ones that still need a voice.
A proof of concept can be found attached to the casting call, demonstrating how the fully edited and voiced final product might look. The script is entirely done and we are now ready to bring in voice actors to record all of the dialogue.
Please be aware when signing up for this project that it is a dub. The original dialogue has been replaced with new lines that sync up with the lip flaps of the animation. Not every line will require an exact lip sync, or even any at all, but many of them will. All voice actors will be provided with the clips that they need to dub over while recording.
Many of the characters on this casting call will be returning in parts 2 and 3 of the series. When auditioning for those characters, please be aware that we are searching for voice actors who would be willing to reprise their roles and see the project through to the end.
We will only be considering auditions that have decent microphone quality. It does not need to be perfect, but please aim to keep background noise or any interference to a minimum. We are seeking for the audio quality to be consistent across the board to avoid it being distracting in the final product.
Please submit a minimum of 3 takes for each line, in either AABBCC or ABCABC format!

Powder is the younger sister of Vi. We are specifically casting young Powder, not Jinx.
We are looking for an authentic sounding pre-teen voice that can display Powder's insecurity, determination, innocence and emotional outbursts.

Jayce Talis is a determined young student.
In Arcane Abridged, Jayce is shown to be arrogant, ignorant, and a little full of himself. He is oblivious to Viktor's advances and is incredibly passionate about the revolutionary discovery he has made. Jayce has main character syndrome, like a typical anime protagonist, though with more of a frat bro attitude.

Viktor is Professor Heimerdinger's assistant and Jayce's eventual partner.
We are looking for a soft-spoken and playful voice that has an accent that stays true to his accent in the official release.

Silco is a chem-baron in the undercity.
We are looking for someone who can keep the spirit of Silco's original voice, while hamming it up and adding a new layer of energy to it. In Arcane Abridged, Silco likes to play up his cliche villain qualities. He is a lot more expressive and has a more fun personality. He's a little bit of a diva.

Vander is the adoptive father of Vi and Powder.
We are looking for a gruff voice with a British accent that is similar to that of JB Blanc's portrayal of the character in the official release, or something like Karl Urban's Billy Butcher performance.

Mel Medarda is the richest woman in Piltover and a member of the council.
We are looking for someone who can represent Mel's political savviness and subtle manipulation of those around her. Her flirtatious nature should also be on display.

Grayson is the Chief of the Piltover Police Department.
We are looking for a female voice actress that can do a gravelly chainsmoker voice along the lines of Patty & Selma from The Simpsons. Feel free to experiment and see what you come up with! In Arcane Abridged, Grayson is a no-nonsense, somewhat careless police chief.

Mylo is the adoptive brother of Vi and Powder.
We are looking for a voice similar to that of Yuri Lowenthal's portrayal of Mylo in the official release. It does not have to be an impression, just within a similar vocal range. In Arcane Abridged, Mylo is very similar to his original counterpart, just slightly exaggerated.

Claggor is the adoptive brother of Vi and Powder.
Claggor is a soft-spoken and caring teenage boy. We are looking for someone who can put this on display while also showing his immense strength and will to fight for his friends when push comes to shove.

He's are resourceful young boy with a fun attitude. We're looking for an authentic sounding pre-teen voice for the character as he is a child.

Benzo is a close friend of Vander's in the undercity.
We're looking for a gruff but warm voice. In Arcane Abridged, Benzo is a bit of a senile lunatic. We are open to unique takes and experimentation with this character's voice.

Caitlyn Kiramman is the daughter of the Councilor Cassandra Kiramman.
We are looking for someone who can do an overly posh English accent. Caitlyn is soft-spoken and feisty. She is a teenager.

Sevika is the tough as nails right-hand woman of Silco.
Sevika has a very small role in the first part of this series, only having one or two lines. She has a much larger role in future parts, but alas, must be cast in advance. We're looking for a tough sounding, no-nonsense warrior voice.

Shoola is well-spoken and articulate woman that presents herself in a formal and professional manner at all times. We're looking for a mature sounding voice for this character.

We are looking for a mature-sounding adult or senior voice that is very expressive and bizarre.
