Johnathan Michael Sturgess (born April 18, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois) is an Ethiopian-American animator, writer, director, and voice actor. An award-winning young creator, he is best known for developing original stories that emphasize teamwork, imagination, and authentic cultural representation.
Johnathan voices Max, the lead hero in his own animated series, and his voice can also be heard in projects including Sonic: Chaos Control, Jamie and the Found Emeralds, Unstoppable, and Unstoppable: Rise of the Destroyer.
He specializes in heroic leads, energetic characters, and expressive performances for animation and storytelling.
