Anthologies of Ullord: The Dark Scripture
Project Overview
Plot: Three Mara clerics, wary from their latest quest, come across a group of traveling merchants. Finding a heretical book, they seek the former owner.
Notes for actors considering our projects:
- Our works are all original, paid and we want the best of the best audio.
- We give highest consideration to those with better audio quality
- Auditions with audible reverb, background noises, fuzziness, peaking and the like will be rejected.
- This is because we can always direct your deliveries to be closer to ideal. We cannot show up and fix your interface, microphone set up and soundproofing/treatment.
This means no to:
- Headset microphones
- Phone microphones
- Internal microphones
- Laptop microphones
- If you want a better idea of what we’re looking for or what sort of project you’d be auditioning for, listen to our previously completed works (they are listed on our profile page).
- When auditioning, please do not add any effects to your audio. Cleaning up static is fine (you definitely want to put your best audio forward for your audition). But, if any effects are needed, the audio engineer will do that.
- Do not ask us for feedback during the auditioning process.
- For one, we do not have time to answer every auditioner’s questions about how well they rank compared to others, how they can improve their audition etc.
- We also do not give special considerations or some manner of advantage to anybody.
- We are easy-going, but we are professionals, not doormats. That means we expect you to respect deadlines and to respond to attempts to contact you.
- When we cast, if we do not hear back from an actor within 3 days, we will make a FINAL attempt to contact them. If we do not receive a prompt response we will recast, no exceptions.
- If you are cast, ***record in mono.***
- We welcome new talent who we have never cast before as well as those we have worked with before.
- We believe in transparency and we are up front and honest about ourselves, our projects and so on. Feel free to ask us basically any questions you may have about our works, characters etc.
- We believe in a positive and supportive working environment. Even though this is across the internet instead of actors having an hour in a recording studio, we still do our best to maintain that. With this in mind, how you behave and interact with us will be mirrored.
- Lastly, we [professionally] love our actors. We show them the utmost appreciation and support. If we have a good working relationship with you, then you have a very good chance at receiving future work from us, plain and simple. We also support our actors’ creative endeavors, personal projects and leave recommendations on CCC after a project has been compiled.
And if you really, really want to get into our heads, this is a video about casting in general and us specifically:

Raised by the church of Mara, in particular the temple of Myrefall, Ercan is wholly dedicated to works in Her name. A fan of the arts, especially dancing, loving to read and learn as much as he can when not on assignment for the church; however, Ercan is shy about admitting to this particular interest of his out of concern that he would be judged harshly, so his breadth of knowledge on this topic gives him a depth of personality that can surprise even his closest friends. Ercan also has a particular fondness for attractive women, often nearly forgetting how the act of speaking works when in the presence of one that he was not raised alongside. Gifted healing magics by Mara, and wielding a sword for fighting against the things that spit in the face of Her domain, Ercan holds more of a supportive role in combat situations, even ignoring that he is in some ways the heart of his team when sent out with others.
For his voice, we are looking for something on the higher end of medium.
Perhaps it is simply some distance inwards, yet?
[actively trying not to sound overly accusatory] Where did you find this book?
We certainly can’t let it stay in the reach of anybody that would want it...
Omri was raised in the Myrefall Temple of Mara practically from birth, which sees him fully dedicating his life to her works and to slaying those things and people that are heretical to her teachings. Omri's main passion outside of his work for Mara lies in the culinary arts, which makes him rather popular amongst his fellow clerics, especially when assigned on duties for the church with him and sent away from the temple for weeks at a time, leaving Omri's meals a loving reminder of their home. Despite this popularity, Omri often finds himself flustered easily by the presence of attractive women that are not his fellow clergy. Omri does his absolute best, however, to always maintain his sense of professionalism and duty while actively representing the church in public, as he is aware that not all in the world are especially fond of Mara or her clergy, and he wants to see to it that he presents an image that keeps the church in the finest light that he can. Armed with weak divine flames and a sword for when his magic proves insufficient, Omri is often found in the thick of combat when need arises.
For his voice, we are open to any voice type.
That’s likely the right plan. Shall we?
Miss, what would it cost in order for us to not only get this book from you, but also to tell us where you met this woman?
Fair. So we give it another hour, if we find nothing, we turn and head back for Myrefall.
Aisha, like many of the Myrefall clerics, was raised in the temple of Mara. She is devoted to serving Mara in any way she can through serving others and protecting people from the darkness of the world.
She is an introvert and usually shy and meek around those she does not know well. She has varying levels of comfort around the other Myrefall clergy and townsfolk depending on her familiarity with the person in question. She is warm, generous and supportive of others. She is a devout reader and learner of the world. She, like many asocial clerics in the temple often seeks out solitude or company with others who prefer the quiet for meditation, reading or simply being away from the stressors of the world.
She is a gifted mage and is also blessed with healing magics from Mara. She uses both to support her fellow clergy during combat with things that go bump in the night.
For Aisha, we are open to any voice type.
What are we looking at, exactly?
[uncertain] I suppose I could part with my staff?
[sigh] So we take the same precautions as we would when we move in onto a necromancer’s property?
