Animated Short About Cavemen
Project Overview
Hi there,
I am an animation student from Scotland and I am about to go into my honours year at university. I wrote a short comedy script about some cavemen hunting a rabbit and I am looking for voice actors to really make it come to life.
I have done one other animated short in the past about an alien. My skills and work pipeline have very much improved since then so I believe this animation will look a lot better overall.

There are 3 Main Cavemen Characters in this animation.
Nud: The main character who sympathises with the rabbit
Nog: The less-brainy comical character
Grit: The leader who wants to hunt for the cave
I will also require some additional voices for the rabbit and another character called Jorc.
I will share the full script with you once cast.

Nud loves rabbits! (A.k.a "Hop-Footers") He doesn't want to hurt them but he gets nervous around the leader caveman Grit.
“Why do we have to go after the hop-footers? Surely we could eat something else… I mean there’s, leaves…..rocks…… oh, I’m sure Chori just had a baby we could try!”
“But, but, I like the hop-footers….”
“I’ve got you little hop-footer!”
Nog is the comic relief character. He is very goofy and not the brightest caveman. He thinks the river stares at him but it's actually just his reflection. He does what Grit says, but very poorly.
“But I don’t like the moving water….”
(whispering)
“It…it….stares at me…...”
(The scene cuts to Nud & Nog walking alongside the river)
(Nog walks along side the river, staring and pointing. He jumps back and forth towards the river, making karate noises and poses. He leans over and looks at his reflection)
Nog:
“It’s doing it again! Eaaggghhhh” (he makes uncomfortable sounds in disgust)
(Also disorientated and falls back to the ground again)
“Did we get him? Oof.”
Grit is the leader of the cave. He is bossy and he loves to hunt. When the cavemen ran out of food last year, they ate Jorc's leg! He doesn't want to eat his other leg...it was rubbery....
“So, let’s go over this again, shall we? Nog, you and Nud are going to head this way towards the moving water where we saw the ground circles.”
“You don’t have to look at the moving water, I just need you to go near it! Then you and Nud will….Nud?....NUD!”
“Am I the only one who wants to eat here?! If we don’t catch these hop-footers, we’ll have to eat Jorc’s other leg!”
Jorc is a one-legged old man. The cavemen ate his leg when they didn't have any food last year.
(I've included Grits line for context)
Grit:
“Am I the only one who wants to eat here?! If we don’t catch these hop-footers, we’ll have to eat Jorc’s other leg!”
(camera pans to a one legged caveman dragging himself on the ground)
Jorc:
(He pants fast as he drags himself away)
“WHA?!”
This rabbit or "Hop-Footer" outruns Grit & Nog and becomes friends with Nud who helps him escape. The rabbit takes Nud to a sacred giant rabbit hole.

Please do your best impression of a rabbit beckoning a caveman to follow him
Please do your best impression of a rabbit pushing a caveman and then jumping down an oversized rabbit hole like its a slide.
Cavewoman alternative Nud
Grit:
“And then I am going walk around the great oaks and…….Nud?....NUD!”
(Nuds not paying attention. She is sitting anxiously on a Rock, staring into space, rocking back and forth)
Nud:
(In a high-pitched voice as she smiles nervously)
“Agh! Yeah, yes, what? Yes, I’m listening… “
Nud:
“But they’re delicious!”
“ENOUGH! We can’t keep eating the goats! If we do, we’ll have to milk for the village babies”
(Nud pauses after being yelled at. She thinks for a moment until she gets an idea)
Nud:
“That’s it! ”
Grit:
“What?”
Nud:
“We’ll eat goats and the babies!”
