Welcome to Anigomi's Character Audio Casting Call!
First, what is Anigomi?
Anigomi is a collection of voice actors, editors, artists, audio engineers and writers that work to produce anime-related Youtube content. Currently, we post four times per week. Starting in March, we will post two character audios and two comic dubs or fan fiction readings per week. We just recently hit one thousand subscribers on Youtube and have been steadily growing for several months.
What are character audios?
Character audios are similar to the ASMR style videos that you may have seen on other channels. However, our videos tend to have more immersive sound effects (see attached video as an example) or a clearer narrative. Several of our character audios are more like dialogues between characters, such as this video. Our most popular audios are comfort audios, which usually take place between a single character and the listener. Many of our subscribers use our character audios to fall asleep at night. There is no explicit sexual content in any of our videos. That being said, we strongly prefer our voice actors to be 18+. Some of our voice actors are minors, so we have to be extremely careful about what content goes in their dialogues. Having adult actors allows us to be a little more liberal with our scripts.
What is the workflow like?
One thing we stress at Anigomi is the importance of a backlog. Right now, we're scheduling videos in May, so we plan pretty far ahead! This means that if you need to take off for a week or two, videos can continue as normal. However, we are strict about deadlines. If you audition as an editor, you will need to produce about one video every week. Videos range from 10 minutes to upwards of one hour, but usually contain no more than 20 minutes of dialogue. Anything past that is usually just ambient sound.
If you audition as a voice actor, the workflow ranges. Scripts take several days each to make. It's entirely possible that you will only have one script for the character that you audition as. However, depending on popularity, that character may get a series of scripts later on. All voice actors that are cast are welcome to stay in our staff discord as long as they'd like. We have frequent "mini casting calls" for one-off videos that don't require a casting call. We also work with voice actors to determine their range of characters and may ask you to do an audio for another character with a similar range if you are willing. Essentially, we will give you as much work as you are willing to do.
Why this collection of characters?
These are the characters that we currently have scripts completed or in progress for, but do not have a voice actor. Additionally, we believe that these characters cover a wide vocal range, which will allow us to diversify the existing voice actors that we work with. Many of our voice actors take on more than one role, so it's entirely possible that you will be asked to do another role in the future if you are interested in continuing to work with us.

As the original source is adult in nature, we will only be taking auditions if you are at least 18. Please do not audition if you are a minor.

All Anigomi audio engineers will work under our current audio lead. Please be willing to work on a team.
We will train you in audio editing and provide you with a professional sound effect library to use.
Audio engineers should be prepared to do the following:
- denoise raw audio
- declick raw audio
- add sound effects from our sound library or find royalty/copyright free sounds from elsewhere
- reliably deliver approximately one edited audio per week
- communicate clearly with the rest of the Anigomi team to update us on progress
For your application, please introduce yourself and explain your experience or interest in audio editing. No experience is necessary, as we are willing to train you. We strongly prefer that audio editors be at least 18. Please indicate your age in your audition.

Video editors for our audios should be prepared to do the following:
- possess basic video editing software that can add text to videos (DaVinci Resolve is a free program that will suffice)
- create thumbnails for character audio videos
- add subtitles to the video
- reliably deliver approximately one edited video per week
- communicate clearly with the rest of the Anigomi team to update us on progress
For your application, please introduce yourself and explain your experience or interest in video editing. We strongly prefer that editors be at least 18. Please indicate your age in your audition.
Say something you think would fit
Most of our audios are currently written by one person. We're able to keep up with the schedule as it stands, but are always looking for new, enthusiastic staff!
Writers for our audios should be prepared to do the following:
- produce 6-7 page scripts (double spaced) of character audios
- be able to write as a range of characters, so being familiar with lots of anime is a plus
- understand the comfort audio genre to some degree, or at least be familiar with the concept
- reliably commit to a timeline
- communicate clearly with the rest of the Anigomi team to update us on progress
