Hello everyone, this casting call is with regards to the Altered visual novel that I am in the midst of creating, and I am in search of voice talent, graphic designers, animators and composers to help create the world I have envisioned! Please note that the story will deal with adult topics.
Voice Actors- Altered started off as a fun little side project that our machinima group put together. Since then, it has been through several re-writes and overhauls to increase the size of the world that we are working in! All auditions will not only be considered for roles that we currently have, but for roles in side stories that will be added to the world of Altered at a later date! Please include if you are willing to be cast for a different role in your audition! Please also provide the lines in several different configurations and styles. Put your own spin on them, but don't force yourself to fit into a role that wouldn't suit your voice!
Artists- I am looking for people who can work with animators to make moving pictures, similar to what you see in Halo: Headhunters, or Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian, but with more of a cartoon, anime or comic feel. This will include drawing a base scene, and having different angles and movements for characters within it. Scene layouts, descriptions, floorplans, character pathing, and more are available on an episode by episode basis. Other items that will need to be done are Logos and personal signatures that will be included in the credits of every episode.
Animators- Similar to artists, I am looking for you to make moving pictures. Taking what the artists give you and giving the scene its movements, as well as any additional effects that we might need, such as explosions, tracer rounds, dripping blood, different weather, basic scene effects and more! As with the Artists, all assets of the scenes will be organized and available prior to production on an episode by episode basis. Other items that need to be done are animating logos provided by the artists into an intro animation.
Composers- The music in Altered will be varied and sometimes fairly unique. Certain characters will have their own themes and several different iterations of them. I do have a background in music, percussion specifically, so I will be planning scenes out in specific time signatures to go with the music, and composers will hear the completed audio before production to plan out the music accordingly. Examples and references for scenes and themes will be provided ahead of time. All music must be originals, created by you, and free of copyrights.
Please Note! We will be using Discord and Dropbox to organize ourselves and to submit files. Please ensure you have access to these before auditioning. (I've received lines via USB stick before, believe it or not, so lines received via carrier pigeon will not be accepted.)
This has been a long term project for me, going from a machinima in the Halo: Reach and Halo 4 days, to a visual novel 7 years later! I'm going to be incredibly picky about this, but I welcome and encourage everyone to audition!
