Almost a Hero is an idle/rpg game (for mobile) where you train a bunch of wannabe heroes and help them defeat endless wave of enemies.

Bellylarf is THE most annoying person ever. He thinks he’s funny, but isn’t. Belting you over the head with a leg of beef is high comedy to him. CHARACTER : Extremely dumb, stupid and ignorant. Thinks he is funny. He is not funny and has no idea about jokes.

Derek is a wizard-wannabe, but he’s never been brilliant at it, making him bad tempered. He thinks this quest will make him a top notch wizard.
CHARACTER : Old, crotchety and bad tempered.
Chaaarge! Give me time.
Thunderbolt! (PAUSE) Kinda.
Don't make me turn you into something.
A reformed shopkeeper from hell. Lenny has turned his back on fleecing customers to save the world. Armed with Pip his apple gun, justice will be done.
CHARACTER : Amazingly greedy but kind of fights it. Tries to be nice, but still comes over as a mean shopkeeper at times.
How may I defeat you today?
I'm selling defeat. Come buy some!

A blacksmith’s apprentice cursed by a spell. All he touches falls apart. He’d love to be a noble knight but it’s never gonna happen.
CHARACTER : Very meak, polite and openly cowardly.
I am Hilt. That's as interesting as I get.
This place worries me. But everywhere worries me.
I have the power! Ooh, nice catchphrase!
Sam the dwarf was an Innkeeper until Gog’s men levelled his village of Summersheart. The once peaceful dwarf now wants revenge.
CHARACTER : Angry, but finds it hard to show it as he is still a nice guy. His threats are very lame.
Must warn you, I am out for revenge!

His experiments into the science of explosives are against all alchemist teachings, but he thinks it’s funny. He loves a good explosive gag!
CHARACTER : Obsessed, bit sinister. A joker but one you worry about when he gets too near. Laughs at his own lame jokes.

Ida is very quick tempered. She’d rather fight you than get to know you – it compensates her shyness. She has a big hammer too, called Sid.
CHARACTER : Very angry, quick tempered and vicious.

Nice place, can't wait to break it.
V is self confessed thief. She’ll nick anything not nailed down. But, she is totally honest about it so people think she’s joking.
CHARACTER : Amazingly open about stealing things. No remorse, but not nasty about it, just honest. Quite a nice, upbeat, polite person otherwise. Has a pet ferret called Swiftnick.
