ALIEN - Short Animated Fan Film
Project Overview
Greeting, my name is Aaron Wagner. I'm the writer and animator for this upcoming animated fan project based on the Alien franchise.
Alien is one of my top favorite movies of all time, when I found out that this year is the 45th anniversary of the release of the first movie, I knew that I had to make something to celebrate it. So, I decided to do a short, animated fan film of Alien and I'm looking for talented voice actors to be a part of the journey.
This short film is ten pages long, 2D animated film. The story is about a young woman who's trying to escape the mysterious ship that she's been taken to out alive. Along the way she faces several challenges, one of them being of course, surviving the most deadliest creature to ever live... the Xenomorph.
REQUIREMENT/NOTES:
1) Excellent quality mic.
2) Either email or discord so I can communicate with you once you're cast
3) Open to communication, feel free to reach out to me for questions or any suggestions.
4) Lines has to be submitted within two or three weeks after being cast. If needed extra time, just reach out to me so I can know.
5) You are open for me to ask you for any redos or additional lines. Certain things can change, and I will absolutely let you know if anything does.
6) Be the best that you can be.
7) For the voice actress that'll be cast Dakota, you'll have to do lots of shouting, swearing and screaming for the role.
NOTE: Character designs are NOT FINAL! Their being used as reference for now. In case you're wondering :)

Dakota is the main character of the short. She's young, mid 20's, she's very scared that she's being hunted by the deadliest creature that ever existed in the universe. However, she has a strong heart to help save another crew member's life.
Her backstory is that she and a few other crew members woke up on a ship that they do not recognize. As her and her fellow crew members plans to escape the vessel, they soon discovered that their being hunted by the ALIEN.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
This role requires a lot of screaming, shouting, sound of reaction and language. Also needs to sound like your life is on the line (Performance wise of course lol). The main character is being hunted and has to make tons of quick decisions.
For line 1: You're with your dying companion, you believe that there's a chance that you can help him even though that theirs a strong percentage that he's not going to make it but still willing to help him as possible.
For line 2: You're looking at a security camera and you know that there is someone watching the whole thing. You know that whoever is watching has control to everything. You're shouting at the security camera but at the same time begging for help.
For line 3: This is basically a test of how well you can make a sound of GASP or HEAVY BREATHING or any other reaction sounds and how quiet can you be. So, the scenario here is that you're in a dark corridor alone, you whisper to yourself and then you hear something. You don't want to know if it's there, so you make a run for it.

(Demanding/Anger) "Open the door right now!" "My friends are in trouble and theirs something out here that's trying to get us!"
(Whisper to herself/Scared) "Why is this happening to us?" (Hears noise from a distance) "Oh god." (Runs away)
Carson is the supporting role for this short. In this short, he's been attacked already. He's dying in a room and the lead Dakota is there to accompany him. He may look big and tough but deep down he knows what's more important and that is to help save his friends life.
Carson is a big guy in his 30's, He has long hair and a beard, looks and sounds like a country guy so a Texan accent is a must.
For most of this role, you'll be sound like you're dying and the last thing you'll be doing is guiding your fellow crew member to safety.

(As you are dying, the ALIEN makes it's appearance) "Why hello there gorgeous, wanna dance?"
