Project Overview

ALBION: The Old Kingdom, is a Fable audio series that portrays, in vivid detail, the vast realm of what Albion once was during the days of the Old Kingdom. It also follows the life of  William Black, and how he rose to become the most powerful will user to ever walk the earth, "Scythe"

Before auditioning I want you to keep a few things in mind:

1) Your audition will be immediately declined if your recording contains terrible audio quality. You don't have to have a professional setup by any means, but you're audition will be automatically rejected if it should contain any of the following: terrible static, really loud background noise, and/or microphone clipping. This mainly helps with the editing process, and creates a better final product.

2) Re-auditions are acceptable provided you deliver them before the deadline.

3) If you end up not getting a specific role(s) that you auditioned for, there still might be a chance that I could use you for another character or voice.

4) If you have any questions pertaining to a particular character or role, please feel free to ask.

5) Ad-libbing lines is acceptable, but know that it is a gamble and may not help your chances of getting selected if you veer off script.

  • SECOND WAVE OF CASTINGS!

    First off, the amount of positive feedback and reception our first installment of ALBION: The Old Kingdom has garnered has been an extremely humbling experience, and I'm incredibly grateful that I'm able to work alongside such a talented and passionate cast. And with that reception, it has allowed us to create more roles for the project. The script for chapter 2 of ALBION: The Old Kingdom has been finalized, and there are now currently three open slots for the series. The same audition rules apply from above, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. The project will remain open until all the roles have been cast. Ravos is one of the main suppliers and merchants  to the varying Gypsy Camps. While he lives a nomadic lifestyle, he displays prowess with a blade and is more than willing to impart all of his fencing  knowledge unto Sparrow.

Commandant Lavery of the Bowerstone Guard, has faithfully served the crown for decades. And has even arisen to become one of Alaya Grey's most trusted advisers. He is battle hardened, which  can prove to be both a strength and  weakness for him.

  • I had a word with Deaglan, before the healers tended to him. He informed me that you three managed to kill Braun O’ Deargain, the Westcliff Skulls’s chieftain. Is that correct, lads?

  • I more than trust you will make them presentable. I shall be in the great hall if you should need me, lads.

After the passing of his father, Henry Black, William carried on with his father’s work. Tirelessly slaving away day after day, tending to the forge and selling quality blades. Though the way of the sword would not be his only calling, for a dormant energy would awaken within him and grant him a power deemed unimaginable. 

  • How can we entrust our lives, our livelihood, in his hands? For all we know he could the very one orchestrating these raids.

  • I can’t take that risk, Holdr, you bloody well know that...it’s nearly a two days walk from here to Bowerstone.

While Theresa may have never lived during the days of the Old Kingdom, she is the only living person in Albion that holds accurate knowledge of it and has chosen to impart this wisdom unto her pupil, Sparrow. She will also act as the main narrator for the series.

  • For you see, Albion was not always tattered and frayed. There was once a time when it was beautiful, Sparrow. And the benevolence of one in particular would prolong its splendor…

  • The passing of ages is a very fickle thing, Sparrow. Perhaps it is best to simply let some things wither, so that you may realize the true worth of a moment. Yet, I’ve watched so many drift by, only to witness all the remnants of what I once held so dear, merely slip through my fingers. I hold no love in my heart for the new day anymore, for i’m afflicted with the knowledge that I will spend the rest of mine sealing away terrible secrets, so that all of life can endure.

  • William gazed up from his anvil, to hear his friend Holdr calling from a distance. He laid down his tools and walked over towards him…

Holdr knew nothing other than life of peasantry and farm work. However, he always sought out any opportunity to prove himself and continuously pushed William to do the same.  Over time he would eventually unlock his true potential and become one of the most powerful warriors to ever fight for the Heroes Guild. And it would also be him that would tame the last know dragon in Albion. 

  • I know! But the fields can wait. Listen, Will, we spotted em. Just outside Oakfall barrows.

  • Bloody hell, William! That was a long time ago, he’s paid his dues. Besides he’s not awful in a fight.

  • Will, if we kill him now...we’d lose any chance of finding the rest of their band. And all this, the blood of our own countrymen will have been for naught. Take him to Bowerstone, he’ll stand trial there.

Haunted by his troubling past, Solcius has always yearned to redeem himself in the eyes of his countrymen and procure Ironbrand's best interest, even though many  have questioned his motives and intentions. However, over time he would become one of the most powerful mages to ever walk Albion, and even took his own life to prevent the desolation of Bowerstone. 

  • Brida has the same right to protect her family as your do, Olaf. And besides...you are pretty terrible with a blade.

Braun "The Bloody"

Braun "The Bloody" was one of the few bandit chiefs of the Old Kingdom that managed to not fade into absolute obscurity after his death. For he managed the unthinkable, he allied all of the raiding tribes of Wraithmarsh under his banner, and wreaked absolute havoc over all of Albion. 

  • Flee you dolt! I’ll hold them off as long as I can…

  • If I’m to die, then it must be a warrior’s death. And you seem eager to meet yours...
