A Very Tall Problem

Project Overview

An Invader Zim fan-animated project revolving around the Tallests in a universe where the florpus did not kill them. Upon their return, the Tallests are subject to scrutiny, exile, and are hunted for their crimes by a new Irken ruler. They are forced to take refuge on Earth with the rest of the cast and figure out a way to get out of this situation.

(the embedded video above is the trailer for AVTP v1, but we have rebooted the series and rewritten the script, so this trailer no longer applies)

INVADER ZIM: A VERY TALL PROBLEM

AUDITION SHEET

Welcome!  Before reading the details of the character you’re auditioning for, we highly encourage you to read the audition guidelines below before recording your voice. Failure to follow these guidelines could result in you having your audition discarded so please read carefully.

Thank you!

AUDITION GUIDELINES -

  • You must record with an XLR condenser microphone using an audio interface or a USB microphone.

  • Your environment must have little-to-no background noise.

  • Please leave your recorded audio raw. Audio clean-up such as noise reduction and compression is okay to use.

  • You may record in any audio software of your choosing such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper and so forth, but please keep it Mono 24 bit, 48kHZ.

  • Please record three takes per line in the form of ABC/123.

  • All lines must be compiled in one audio file and exported as an MP3 format.

CONTROL BRAIN "JUDICATOR" (VILLAIN) -

Cold, calculating and efficient much like a machine (duh!) Judicator was built and installed onto the Irken flagship The Massive, his initial purpose was to keep an eye on Tallest Red and Tallest Purple in case one would form a coup and turn on the other, tearing the empire from within to seize power for themselves. However, as years went on, Judicator grew annoyed with the lousy and incompetent leadership of the two, questioning the logistics of why the empire would grant two morons to uphold such power and rule all because of their height. With the refusal of evading the Florpus Hole, Judicator had enough reason to put his contingency plans into action.

VOICE NOTES -

Judicator is cold and efficient; lacking empathy in his tone. He has a deep to mid-range voice, sounding sonorous, stern and clear, speaking in a way that feels profound and mighty, like he’s above the law itself.

Think Shockwave from Transformers Prime, Sovereign from Mass Effect and The Didact from HALO 4. There is a good chance Judicator’s voice will possess a voice filter/effect provided by our audio designer.

You’re more than welcome to come up with your own idea of how the character can sound as well, you don’t have to use the references listed above. The voice notes are a guide, we’re not looking for impressions.

AUDITION LINES -

  1. (Annoyed and threatening) “Foolish heretic. What do you hope to achieve by prolonging the inevitable? Judgment awaits and then, the universe will carry on without you.”
