I am a founder of the channel "Dubfounded". Here at Dubfounded, we are dedicated to bringing your favorite manga series to life through dynamic voice acting, immersive sound design, and an authentic adaptation of the original material. With a passion for anime and manga, our team strives to deliver the most engaging and faithful dubs, ensuring that each series gets the attention it deserves.
So far, our discography includes four exciting episodes covering the Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory arc, and one episode of Chainsaw Man already released. We’re continually working to expand our catalog, diving deeper into the manga worlds that fans love and creating dubs that resonate with both newcomers and long-time fans.
We love engaging with our voice actors and always strive to create a collaborative, open-minded environment. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the scene, we value creativity and encourage fresh, unique takes. Our team believes in making the dub experience fun, inclusive, and inspiring for everyone involved. We are a relatively new team, only starting about a month ago with our dubs, and look forward to making even more dubs in the future. Overall, we haven't received any complaints and only good feedback from the way we do things around here. Tucker and SRG, the founders of Dubfounded are the directors of every project, and in no exception will there be other directors. Building a chemistry with these folks is at the highest of our concern, along with making quality content for anime/manga fans to enjoy along with making ourselves along with the voice actors in the dubs stand out.
About The Project:
This fandub project covers A Silent Voice, a deeply emotional story about redemption, forgiveness, and healing. It follows Shōya Ishida, a boy who once bullied a deaf girl named Shōko Nishimiya in elementary school. After she transfers schools due to the bullying, Shōya becomes isolated and consumed by guilt.
Years later, he sets out to make things right by reconnecting with Shōko and trying to repair the damage he caused. As they confront their shared past, the story dives into heavy themes like disability, mental health, bullying, and the power of empathy.
IMPORTANT NOTES AND GUIDELINES:
Being able to meet deadlines. I will be expecting the lines to be delivered within a week, but details are subject to change.
Interest and knowledge of the anime series in this project. Because of the nature of such a project, it's highly encouraged to brief yourself over the characters, who they are, and how they sound in both official and unofficial depictions.
Decent microphone and quality audio; XLR is preferred, but USB is totally fine. However, I request that there be no background noise or distortion; anything of such will be dismissed.
There will be screaming involved as well as light cursing, so please keep this in mind when auditioning. Make sure your audio doesn't peak or distort when submitting your audition.
Discord will be the primary form of communication and is required to continue further with this project. Please be responsive with communications; try to respond within 24 hours of receiving messages.
Expect revisions to submissions of lines as needed when working together; ideally, this shouldn't occur often, but any complications with the animation might cause for this to occur if necessary.
PLEASE READ and FOLLOW these guidelines!! I stress that you do, as compliance with such will ensure a higher chance of being selected for the role.
Lastly, we want to note that while we would prefer similarity to the original voices, emotion and energy are most important above all. This will be a very energetic and high-octane video, which means we will need such from your voices! (that being said, being able to do both is beyond ideal)

Tomohiro Nagatsuka is a loyal and enthusiastic individual who quickly befriends Shoya Ishida, considering him his best friend. He is supportive and has a strong desire for companionship, sometimes displaying possessiveness. Tomohiro is also passionate about filmmaking and often exhibits a dramatic flair.
"Yasho was kind and open-hearted enough to accept a guy like me. For the first time, I know what it felt like to have a true friend."
"Now you and I are friends. It can be as simple as that, ya see? Friendship don't gotta do with no rules or qualifications 'cause it's about something deeper, a bond, and you just can't break it, capisce?"
"Shoya! You're okay, I'm glad. 'Cause if you didn't wake up, I didn't know what I would do! You're everything to me! I would've been all alone! Listen, the stuff on the bridge, don't worry about it, okay? Friends say stuff they don't mean to each other all the time! It doesn't matter! I'm begging you, don't ever leave us again! Promise me! I can't lose you!"
Miyako Ishida is a kind-hearted and resilient woman who works diligently as a hairstylist to support her two children, Shōya and his older sister. Despite facing personal hardships, including her husband's departure, she remains a loving and supportive mother. Miyako also extends her empathy towards others, notably showing kindness to Shōko Nishimiya and her family.
"Promise me you won't go through with it, or I'm torching this! The 1.7 million yen you earned will go to waste!"
"I was going to wait until after the ride to decide if it was scary or not."
"If you try to kill yourself again, I'll burn this money! Don't you dare!"
Miki Kawai presents herself as a responsible and amiable class representative. She strives to maintain a positive image and often seeks validation from her peers. However, she can be manipulative and tends to avoid accountability, subtly shifting blame to others to preserve her self-image.
"I just wanted everyone to get along... Why does it always end up like this?"
"Oh, come on! You know I’m everyone's favorite class rep, right?"
"Stop blaming me for everything! I didn’t do anything wrong!"
Yaeko Nishimiya is the mother of Shōko and Yuzuru Nishimiya. She is a strict and protective single parent who has faced significant challenges, including raising a deaf daughter and dealing with her husband's departure. Her tough exterior masks a deep love for her children and a desire to shield them from harm.
"You think you can just waltz back into our lives and everything will be fine?"
"Well, aren't you the persistent one?"
"Stay away from my daughter!"
the Koe no Katachi series. Kazuki was Shoya Ishida's best friend in elementary school and he helped in the bullying of Shoko Nishimiya, but he never admitted to participating in it. Kazuki started bullying Shoya after the boy help pin the blame on him for Shoko being bullied. Due to this he still refused to be friends with Shoya even in high school as he told everyone in 7th grade to stay away from Shoya. When Shoya fell into a river after saving Shoko from committing suicide it was Kazui and Keisuke who brought him to the hospital, however he still refuses to reconcile with Shoya.
"I don't care what you think. It's not like we're friends anymore."
"Hah, still holding onto that grudge? Get over it."
"Stay out of my way!"
Ito Nishimiya is a kind-hearted, patient, and selfless grandmother who plays a pivotal role in the upbringing of her granddaughters, Shōko and Yuzuru. After her husband's passing, she moved in with her daughter Yaeko to assist in raising her grandchildren. Demonstrating unwavering support, Ito learned sign language to communicate effectively with Shōko and nurtured Yuzuru's passion for photography by gifting her a camera. Her wisdom and perceptiveness make her a cherished figure in her family's life.
"Shōko, Yuzuru, remember, no matter where life takes you, family is always here to support you."
"Oh, Yuzuru, always hiding behind that camera. One day, you'll capture a photo of me without my permission!"
"Yaeko, don't overwork yourself! Let me help with the household chores!"
We are gonna need additional voices. So for the most part, if you sound normal enough, and good enough. You will probably get casted for this, and there will be multiple casts for this in particular.
