Love and Deepspace Genderbend Fandub
Project Overview
This is a small passion project that is made just for fun; but maybe with a bit of help, this project can grow bigger little-by-little. This project is also somewhat experimental, in terms of its concept. What the current five love interests and MC in Love and Deepspace would be like genderbent. Currently, this project needs voices for genderbent versions of MC, Xavier, Zayne, Sylus, and Caleb. Rafayel's role is already taken. There are plans to cast more roles in the future, especially the extras (possibly script writers as well).
For now, the project’s main focus is recording audio clips for the love interests’ basic dialogue, “Secret Times”, and “Bond” cutscenes. If you don’t know, in Love and Deepspace, Secret Times are ASMR-like audio stories. Bonds are story events (with cutscenes) that dive deeper into a love interest’s storyline and their relationship to the MC.
There are plans in the future to re-dub the game’s main story, card/myth stories, and “Tender Moments”.
Disclaimer:
This project currently has one director, and there is a possibility things will run slowly or have long breaks in between recordings. Being a part of this project will require a lot of patience, so it’s recommended not to audition unless you’re willing to be patient. This is a fandub, after all. The director is also pretty lenient when it comes to deadlines, especially since this is mostly all for fun.
Synopsis:
It is not a requirement to have previous knowledge of Love and Deepspace to audition. If you do know the game, that’s great! If you don’t know what Love and Deepspace is about, it’s a mobile otome game that takes place in a futuristic setting with sci-fi elements. It is also a gacha game that features action-RPG combat and immersive 3D visual storytelling. Originally, the main protagonist (MC) is a female Deepspace Hunter, whose job is to protect the general public by fighting alien-like monsters called Wanderers. MC and her love interests: Xavier, Zayne, Rafayel, Sylus, and Caleb all possess a special power known as Evols. MC uses her Evol to fight off the Wanderers and protect Linkon City. The game has MC build her romantic relationships between her love interests while also unraveling mysteries within the city.
For this project, it is essentially the same summary but MC is instead a male Deepspace Hunter. All of the love interests, in this project, are now female.
Rules and Guidelines:
To audition for this project, you must be 18+. There are no exceptions. Love and Deepspace is not an 18+ game, however, the game has suggestive dialogue, scenes, and themes.
Have good audio quality and little to no background noise in your recording.
Please give as much emotion and feeling into your audition as possible.
The director would like the voice actors to record each line twice in a ABCABC format, giving a different approach the second time.
Feel free to audition for as many characters as you like, but the director intends to cast one person per character.
Having previous knowledge of Love and Deepspace is not a requirement, but since these roles will be genderbent, it is recommended to look at the YouTube link references underneath the character’s role. Simply to get an idea of what the characters originally sound like.
This project requires everyone to have an active Discord account. The project server is in Discord and that’s where most communication will take place. In your audition, please include your Discord username/tag. If selected, you will be added into the project’s server.

This project will need audio editors that can edit re-dubbing of certain voice lines in the game. Adding some ambience and sound effects to audio clips. But most importantly, putting multiple audio recordings together. The voice actors of this project will send their recorded lines, and the audio editors will need to edit everything into one finished audio clip. This project heavily relies on audio and sound, since there won’t be as much visuals compared to the original game.

MC is a determined, hardworking individual. He takes his role of a Deepspace Hunter very seriously, exhibiting a dutiful attitude. However, outside of work, MC is playful and funny. He’s also considered cute for enjoying silly leisurely activities such as winning plushies from claw machines. MC shows his strength by being loyal to his companions, always having their back. He still has a lot to learn about self-defence and combat, but he perseveres, knowing that he can become stronger everyday.

"Sir, that's likely because a Wanderer attacked me fourteen years ago. And ever since then, my Evol level hasn't been stable."

Female Xavier is a fellow Deepspace Hunter who met MC in an abandoned warehouse while on a mission to fight Wanderers. Even though she doesn’t exude much facial expression or have much tonal shift in her voice, she is very caring and affectionate. She becomes more expressive and emotional when she’s with MC, showcasing more affection in a private setting. She is soft-spoken, sweet, calm, and has this otherworldly, mysterious charm about her. However, since she lacks a certain awareness of social norms, she can come off as aloof and awkward. She also tends to fall asleep in odd situations, making her a Sleeping Beauty.
Voice Description: She should have an airy, soft, and gentle voice that doesn't convey much emotion but is also comforting.

"Huh, my former coworker? That retired Evol police officer… might be getting older and remembered the wrong person. I am but an ordinary hunter."
"Well... I would invite him to go see the stars together. Compared to the universe, each person is just a drop in the ocean. The time you spend with each other is fleeting. Why should you waste it on arguing?"
"Sorry, but there is a crisis. I'm really hungry, and all the stores are closed."
Female Zayne works as a cardiac surgeon at the Akso Hospital, where she is constantly praised by her peers for being both incredibly intelligent and an exceptional doctor despite being very young. She and MC were childhood friends, and she eventually became MC’s primary care physician. She is a mature, stoic, and pragmatic individual who always takes care of others. Most of the time, she remains professional and private in a normal setting, but is somewhat playful towards the people she’s close with. When she is around MC, she likes to reminisce about their childhood memories together. Sometimes she becomes a lot more bold with MC, being more physically and emotionally affectionate.
Voice Description: She should have a professional, cold, and direct tone to her voice, especially when she's explaining anything medically. Something calm and collected would work for her.

Female Sylus is the leader of Onychinus, a criminal organization that operates in the lawless N109 Zone. She is seen as the most influential figure in that area, and she’s considered to be extremely dangerous and powerful. Female Sylus met MC in the N109 Zone. She is an arrogant, confident, yet surprisingly nurturing individual, especially around MC. She is deeply devoted to MC. She stays calm and strategic during dangerous situations, maintaining a smug attitude, knowing she’ll walk out of it just fine. She also encourages/helps MC find his own strength and power to keep himself safe, especially in the N109 Zone.
Voice Description: Her voice should definitely be more on the deeper side. Deep. A rich, confident, mature, and slightly husky and flirtatious tone.

Female Caleb is the Colonel of the Farspace fleet, while also being MC’s childhood friend. They were raised together by the same guardian, so they have a close bond and know each other very well. She is a kind, playful, and protective individual. All she wants to do is make MC smile and to make him happy. However, since she is also a Colonel, she can be calculating and cold, which is highly respected amongst the Farspace Fleet. Female Caleb holds a great amount of power and authority, and will not hesitate to kill or use her Evol to force others into submission. She's more protective attributes towards MC turn more obsessive and possessive because of that, and is willing to risk her life to protect MC, similar to when they were kids.
Voice Description: Her voice should be charming and playful, with a confident tone. Her voice should also be more on the higher end. However, when she becomes more protective, her voice should convey authority and coldness.
