Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for A Hero's Tail. The storytelling of soldiers who have been forgotten by those they protected,
We're casting for a slew of voices to be used throughout the shows run. Folks cast for roles will be asked to provide lines by certain dates. If you're not cast for a main role, and your voice matches the tone of the show, we may ask you to provide lines for roles in the future of this production.
All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be comfortable using the language/vernacular of the time (America, 1926-1946).
STORY OVERVIEW
"A hero's tail is a Historical Fiction story told during World war two from the perspective of a young girl and nurse. She tells the story of the soldiers she meets and treats. She is also constantly attempting to outdo the male staff."
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be warmly greeted by Derpy and Bunny, the folks that put together Wicked Productions. At this point, you'll be part of our WP family, where you'll get to interact with other voices actors from around the globe, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with either of these applications, you can still audition, however, we strongly, strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We've used Discord with other projects and it has been of immense value.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- Please submit clean recordings (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)
- We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly, and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
- Lastly, since we are planning on multiple episodes of A Hero'sTail, we'd like to cast people who will be able to stick with us for a while. We're incredibly proud of the acting troupe we've been together over the last view months since we both have large credits to our name., and when starting a new project, we frequently return to voice actors we've worked within the past.

Rose is the youngest child to Oliver and Eliza Porter. She is not a typical woman of the time. She desperately wants to see the world and become a best selling author. She has four older brothers.she was born January 11th, 1923 she will be sixteen at the time of her departure.
(confident) What’s your name soldier?
(Annoyed) Well Lt. you should be at home with your wife
(Irritated) Tomas! I am not doing this because I want to be a wife. Why do you have to be so dense?
Vivianne or Vivi is a young girl looking for prince charming while working hard. She is the assistant to Nurse Porter or Rosie in case. She is very bubbly and hyper. Nothing would make her happier than to settle down and be a housewife.
(Happily) Of course, right away miss.
(cheerful) Chin up Rosie.
(Flirtatious) Hello soldier. What on earth happened?
Eliza porter is a kind lovely woman. Is very strict when comes to her children.
(concerned) Oh Rose I know you want to help but did you really need to say you would be a nurse.
(scolding) Tomas! Are you listening to me, young man? She is not trying to meet a boy.
(cheerful) Oh honey you look beautiful.
He is a very strict man but is very devoted to his wife and children.
(calm) Dear this what she wants to do. She is not a child anymore.
(fatherly) That's definitely my kid.
(stressed) Eliza please don't cry. She will be fine.
Charles is Rose's brother and a solider by draft.
(curious) What are you packing for little sister?
(angry) You can't be a nurse, you idiot! You will be in danger!
(Baby voice) I will be fine Gracie baby you be good for your mom.
Thomas is the one who makes everyone laugh well except whoever he is teasing. He is comic relief please don't try to make him serious.
(teasingly) Awe baby sis. Who's the lucky soldier?
(teasingly) Did you pick out a dress yet? Is it moms?
(serious/but joking) Rose, I'm your brother you know you can tell me anything right? Just please tell me your not pregnant,
He honestly could not care about his sister's choice its her life but his gets turned upside down due to the fact he is traveling with her
(annoyed) Why do you this is a good idea?
(stren) Watch where you are going stupid!
(groggy and annoyed) Ugh, Natale can it wait till I have had some coffee?
He is kind and smart he cares greatly for his baby sister and just wants to be happy. But being a big brother comes with perks.
(annoyed) What do want me to do she is your daughter?
(cheeky) If you don't come back with a husband you have seriously failed your mission there.
(Cheeky and serious ) And don't come back pregnant, with a baby, or dead. Especially dead.
James is a confident young soldier who ends up falling head over heel s with Vivianne.
(suave) Hmmm well seems like I've died and gone to even if I'm seeing an angel like you.
(Stern)Langue! We have wonderful young ladies in our presence
(joking but serious) Ha! fair fair I know well enough that when a smart, competent, and strong lady isn't interested in me.
Henry is a patient of Rose and VIvianne. he is a kind soul who only wants to get home to his wife and son
(shocked and surprised) Huh sorry, I just- you remind me of someone important to me is all.
(sad and remorseful) Heh.... those words are the only thing I can hear her repeat in my mind.
(sorrowful and hopeful) I left but ya see that's why I have to make it home to see my Angie so I can tell her I love her and I'm sorry.

(Pleading) Please Honey don't do this don't go.
(pissed off) YOU WHAT?!?! You can't be serious what do you mean you enlisted are you crazy?
( Scared and shocked) You're leaving us your abandoning US! What am I supposed to do without you? I can't raise him by myself, Henry!
She can kind and motherly but most of the time is cold and standoffish.
(grateful) Thank You, Rose and Happy birthday kid
(shocked) What are you doing here kid?
(remanicing) Nothing it's you remind me of my daughter she's a lot like you. She wanted to be a nurse too but I did everything I could to stop her.
(Calmly) “Your dad said it was important and we needed to come over right away.”
(stern) No, your father needs to speak with us. So coffee can wait.
(sweet) Auntie Rose, why do you and daddy have to go away?
(sad) Daddy no you can't go please stay.
