A Day Before Us [ENGLISH FANDUB]
Project Overview
Synopsis
A Day Before Us is an animated korean drama of a special and sweet love story of the following four main characters; Yeo Reum, Ha Eun, Kim Wook, and Yeon Woo. All of their episodes have Japanese or English subtitles. The creators is LIFE IS COMIC!, or LICO for short, is a Korean Animation/Webtoon studio created back in 2017 by NAVER. A Day Before Us can currently be viewed on YouTube if you are interested in the show.
*NOTE* Some of the names can be hard to pronounce at times, especially if you are not familiar with native Korean names. If you are having a hard time pronouncing a name I recommend using Google Translate to help with that. If you still cannot pronounce a name, that's alright. Some of the names can be hard at times and we are not expecting you to say it right the first time.
Rules/Info:
1. Please give it your all when auditioning! Your voice will be 50% of the characters personality, so put yourself in their shoes. If you think a laugh, sigh, grunt, etc. would sound good at the end of a line, then feel free to throw one in! Improvisation is also welcomed, so long as you keep pace with the lines we have given you,
2.You will need an email/discord account (You do not need both, only one). This is how we will keep in contact, exchange scripts, and send audio tracks.
3. If possible, please try to have minimal background sound.
4. You must be willing to watch the show. If not once, multiple times, that way you can get a good feel of the character's personality. Don't worry! Each episode is about 2 minutes long and a full season is about 20 minutes.
5. It would be ideal to have a microphone that can at least reach over 41000 Hz. Meaning that the quality of the mic cannot be a standard laptop microphone. This is because we want the audio quality to be good. You can still audition if your microphone quality is mediocre. If you are cast and your microphone quality is not over 41000 Hz, we will be willing to buy you a new microphone for the project.
6. If you are to be cast you must be on top of your work. If you miss a deadline, you get a strike. Of course, if you talk to us ahead of time and ask for an extension, that is completely fine and different.
7. We may extend the deadline if we have more projects to be situated before we cast for ADBU.
8. Remember to have fun! Give it your all! We want people to remember your great performance on this project!

Yeon Woo is very reserved which comes off as stuck-up and ignorant if you are just meeting him. He does not like to talk very much, though later on he says he does not speak very often because of anxiety. Even though he seems stuck-up, he is in fact, the exact opposite. Yeon Woo is caring and thoughtful. He also likes cute things such as cats.
His voice is quiet and calm. Most of the time he has no expression in his voice. His voice is mid-low pitched but you can be experimental if you'd like.

Kim Wook is a very soft, friendly and caring person. He can get jealous about Yeo Reum and he also stares at Yeo Reum a lot. He is currently a sophomore in college and is majoring in business administration. He usually leaves his hair casual and does not do anything with it. Wook also dresses very casually, he usually wears a hoodie. Wook is also known to be very cute at times. He is Ha Eun and Yeon Woo's close friend and Yeo Reum's love interest.
We would like his voice to be playful yet serious at times, he would have a mid- low voice.
