3T1Q: Episode 1 - Reform
Project Overview
Hello, and welcome. This is the last project post of the year.
*Idea*
3T1Q (Three Traits One Quirk) is an extension of "A World Without Picture." The characters are genderless and there isn't a traditional character bio. Each character has three traits and one quirk. The goals are to design a unique character from that. Harper, for example, says the phrase, "Winter is gone." That's not an audition line, but that phrase should be incorporated into your audition in some way.
*Tip*
When building the character, don't do an impression. The character is meant to be a version of you.
*Summary*
A group of teens are sent to reform school because of behavioral issues. On arrival, they are greeted by Sergeant Sunflower. Sunflower's methods are harsh and cruel. They've decided to make Sunflowers' job difficult in response. Captain Hamstring pays the school a visit, and the students attempt to get Sunflower fired.
*Rule*
Profanity is in this project. The words are, "ass, hell, damn, and piss." If you aren't comfortable with profanity, this isn't your project.
- Introduce yourself before auditioning.
- Perform each line.
- One take per line.
- Take out any mess-ups.
- Make sure no one else is speaking in your audition(s).
- Avoid improvising. Adding filler words like "ooo" or "umm" is fine.
- Take your audition seriously.
- Discord is required.
*Note*
If you're not cast for this project, don't be discouraged. More projects will be posted, so you will have many more chances. Hope to see you audition for the next ones.
*Closing*
Relax before your audition. Don't overthink the lines. Nerves and doubt tend to affect auditions at times. Get to know the character and think about how you want to express the character. Sometimes actors tend to read the lines rather than express a character. Whether your voice is high or low, it's about expression. Bring to life an honest character. Hello, my name is hoe number 00002. I was sent here because I questioned the history our school was teaching us. Education is everything, and I won't stand for that. I lead a peaceful protest in the school. The library was destroyed and the cars of teachers were flipped. Not a single student was injured. Just one janitor. See, very peaceful.
It's time to revolt. No person should have all that power. It's a dictatorship.
