Nyx Nova (Mikayla)

Mikayla gave phenomenal performances for many characters for my comic dubs, Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission Manga Dub and Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga Dubs. She has an incredible range and nailed the delivery of her lines! Very nice person to work with! Hire her for your projects!

If I were to write a list of pros and cons of working with Nova, the pros would be pages long, and the cons page would have nothing on it.  But to keep it short. Nova is an extreme joy to work with, she’s incredibly kind, hardworking, talented, smart, easy to work with, funny, willing to learn/try new things, patient, and will do her best to ensure her performance is to your liking. Finally, her range of delivery and voices is phenomenal and vast. She also possesses some of the best mic quality and room treatment you’ll ever hear. You’d be a fool if you didn't cast her in your project! Hire her!

I came across Nyx Nova on a project we both signed on to about a year ago. Initially, we had been recording our audio for it separately, but the director had us come together for a few live sessions. And let me tell you, I preferred that, because Nyx is a DELIGHT to work with! She's great at following direction, and as a fellow actor she knows how to read the scene with you in a way that makes it feel natural, and fun! Outside of that project, I've followed her on a few other projects she's worked on. And let me tell you, as a character VA, sometimes I had difficulty figuring out who she was, because she was SO GOOD at becoming a new voice! That's the level of talent and professionalism you get with Nyx; she's not only practiced, but she's easy to work with and fun to listen to! Proud to call her a friend, and I cannot recommend her enough for your project!

It’s awesome to collaborate with a voice actress who is also a singer. For the past 5 years of directing, I’ve actually never got anyone to perform a song or cover for any of my projects until this year. Nyx is the first voice actress & singer to do so. She is a phenomenal singer. She performed an a capella of I’m Here - Revisited from Sonic Frontiers which I was surprised to listen to because of how the original version was performed by Kellen Quinn. She went even Further Beyond Super Saiyan. I had to give a second recommendation. On the voice acting side, she saved the day when she stepped in to voice Anzu Mazaki for my Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Manga Dub, and Laggs for my Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission Manga Dub! She has also voiced Squirrel Girl for my Marvel Rivals Comic Dubs! She gave phenomenal performances as usual! She is honestly one of the nicest & best people I’ve ever worked with, whom I can call a friend both professionally and personally. Please hire her for your projects!
