About Joshua Laxen

I'm Josh(he/him) a 36 year old voice actor, artist, writer and fledgling audio engineer. I'm always happy to wear another hat. I started my voice over work more than a decade ago. I have variable range from young teen to old codger with numerous not so human option as well and I'm always working to improve my abilities and range.

Voice Acting 101

Thanks to this course I've grown more comfortable in the booth. I've learn the proper etiquette to auditions, numerous warm up exercises to build and maintain my vocal health. Jamil Burger and his TAs have given me all the basic information and a solid starting point to help start my journey towards a career in the Voice Over industry with confidence.

    They were highly communicative and able to explain what they needed concisely, providing both quick responses to questions and easy to read scripts. They hadn't arranged contracts but were fully on board with organising them to protect everyone's work against AI usage. They also paid very promptly.

    They were very easy to work with and I will definitely jump on the next opportunity to audition for them.
