@serenasykesvoSoft Regional RP, easily slipping into Native Yorkshire
My natural accent sits between Yorkshire and RP, shaped over time after moving south but never losing its roots. Often described as soft, regional RP, I can slip comfortably into native Yorkshire or full RP when needed.
What sets my work apart is speed, instinct and connection. With a lifetime of experience spanning stage, television, music and voice, I take direction quickly and adapt in the moment, delivering reads that feel natural, believable and genuinely engaging. Whether it’s a fast, precise turnaround with strict direction or a more collaborative, exploratory session, I’m highly responsive and easy to work with.
I specialise in commercial, narration and character work, bringing clarity, authenticity and a polished delivery when required. Trained with Richcraft Voiceover Coaching, I work to a high standard with a strong focus on direction, efficiency and performance. My voice sits naturally in a warm, relaxed RP, with flexibility into softer or more regional tones. With a background in acting, music and performance, I bring strong timing, nuance and storytelling to every read, and handle multiple voices in a session with ease.
My training provides a strong performance-led foundation. At Richcraft, the focus is on real industry standards; taking direction quickly, adapting instinctively and delivering broadcast-ready work with consistency. My acting training was developed through Stage 84, known for its discipline, professionalism and emphasis on live performance.
I also have a solid musical background, with Grade 8 qualifications in vocals, oboe and piano, alongside further training in performance arts and music. This brings a natural sense of timing, control and musicality to my voice work. It also gives me a strong understanding of audio, enabling me to produce high-quality recordings that are professionally edited and mastered.
My work includes audiobooks and projects for BBC, Google, Amazon Music and New Wimbledon Theatre. Alongside this, I record radio commercials, IVR and e-learning for CPD companies, and continue developing character work through audio drama, with recent roles including Fiona in First Line and Sasha in Targeted.
Alongside performance, I bring specialist skills that support both creativity and efficiency. I’m a confident sight singer across pop, swing and musical theatre styles, allowing for quick adaptation and accurate delivery, and I have experience in composition, giving me a strong understanding of sound, pacing and how voice sits within a mix.
Tanya is a highly experience VO Artist, who has worked at the top of the industry for 40 years, now sharing her knowledge with select students. Her coaching is bespoke and intense, and she expects excellence from her students, to keep the Richcraft legacy alive.
Stage 84 is a renowned performing arts school, where I trained full time for 3 years, giving me an excellent grounding in acting and performance.
If you have a project not listed, please contact me to discuss your requirements. I am extremely flexible and always love a new challenge. I am also happy to discuss budgets on certain projects, as I love to help collaborate and support newer creators.

My specialist areas are characters, commercial, explainers and e-learning work, although I am open to consider any projects you feel my voice is suited for.
I can turnaround small projects extremely quickly when needed and am also happy working on more long term projects, or voicing multiple small or one-line characters/voices.
For gaming and character work, I love being involved as early as possible and to really get to know the project in depth. I am comfortable and experienced working through the character development phase as part of a team, but also happy to work in fully directed sessions for quick turnarounds.
