About Civilized_Parakeet

Hi! I’m Ammar, a voice actor-in-the-making from Lahore, Pakistan. I’ve wanted to do voice acting since I started watching anime at 16, and I’m now looking for projects where I can finally try it for real.

I’m a native speaker of Urdu and Punjabi, and I’ve spent 16 years studying in English, so I’m comfortable performing in all three. In English, I can do a Pakistani/Indian accent and a neutral, American-leaning accent. I’m currently working on a light British accent and a Russian-accented English, and I love experimenting with new voices and styles. I also study Punjabi poetry as a hobby and have translated Urdu poetry into English, so I pay close attention to rhythm, tone, and how a line should feel when spoken.

I’ve grown up on animation and comics: anime and manga, DC, Marvel, Disney, and DreamWorks. I love digging into lore, character arcs, and the details that make a story work, so I take direction well and care about getting a character’s voice right.

I haven’t worked professionally yet, but I’m open to auditioning for anything: indie games, animations, audio dramas, narration, or fan projects. I’m eager to learn, happy to take feedback, and I’m also a freelance graphic designer with 200+ completed projects, so I understand deadlines and working with a creative team.

Feel free to message me. I’d love to audition!

Pricing

I’m just starting out, so I’m flexible. I’m open to unpaid or low-budget projects if they offer a credit and a chance to grow, and I’m happy to discuss fair rates for paid work. Message me with your budget and project details and we’ll work something out.

What Civilized_Parakeet is looking for

I’m looking for projects where I can build real experience in voice acting, such as indie games, animated shorts, anime-style or fan projects, audio dramas, and narration. I’m especially drawn to character-driven stories with strong lore. I want to learn from directors and teammates, take on a range of roles, and build a portfolio of credited work. I’m open to any role, big or small, and I’m happy to do a test read or audition.
