About Romuald Potel

I compose music centred on emotional storytelling and character psychology.

Based in France, I have composed for nine audiovisual projects, and my original scores have received seven awards. My work includes L’Horloge des regrets and Les Ombres du passé.

MY MUSICAL APPROACH

I am drawn to psychological horror, atmospheric fantasy, thrillers and intimate drama. I shape each score around the rhythm of the images, the characters’ inner lives and the emotional progression of a scene, combining orchestral writing, harmonic colour and darker textures.

COLLABORATION

I welcome conversations with filmmakers, animators and creators developing distinctive narrative projects. I am also interested in bringing my experience in scoring to picture to narrative games.

Musical direction, deliverables and schedules are agreed together. Mixing and mastering of my own scores can be discussed according to the project’s needs.

What Romuald Potel is looking for

Paid collaborations on short and feature films, psychological thrillers, atmospheric horror, dark fantasy, narrative documentaries and animation, including stop motion. I am also interested in narrative games and cinematic trailers where orchestration and emotional storytelling are central.
