Max Barken

Max Barken is an Ontario based sound designer/composer with 4+ years experience building compelling soundscapes and musical scores for a variety of projects including short films, animations and video games.  After graduating with honors from Metalworks Institute, he developed a love for film/animation sound pursuing a post graduate degree from George Brown Polytechnic in sound design.  Using his passion for all things storytelling and fiction, he specializes in bringing the vision of other creatives to life with carefully crafted sound design and a subtle yet memorable musical style.

Working closely with directors, writers and producers, he takes special care to fully understand and grasp the purpose of a story.  He uses this to enhance narratives and themes using his skills in audio post production and musical composition, understanding that works of art are extremely personal and special to their creators and ensuring clients feel both listened to and satisfied with the final result.
