Matthew Tangeman

Originally started my filmmaking journey as a film critic on YouTube before creating my own short films and skits. Subsequently writing screenplays which have won awards, namely from the New Jersey Film Awards.

In 2022 I recieved my first producer credit on a feature film with the independent psychological horror film "The Raker House." The film was picked up exclusively by Troma Entertainment for their streaming platform TromaNow and also streaming on Roku. It also won and was nominated for multiple awards in multiple horror based film festivals.

In 2024 I was back behind the directors chair for 2 short films which I made in the Atlanta, GA area entitled "Cold Night in the Cold City" and "The Pitch" respectively. Both were the first opportunity where I was able to direct professional working actors and both shorts did well in terms of reception on YouTube and subsequent film festival submissions.

"Cold Night in the Cold City" recieved multiple nominations and awards and fesival selections, including Best Drama from NJFA, Best Thriller from the AltFF Alternative Film Festival, and selections at Nosebleeds Film Festival, CineRoma Film Festival and Cobb International Film Festival.

In 2025 I had the opportunity of directing my first feature film entitled "Vinny & Tony's Killer Road Trip."
