About Jamie

Nice to meet you, I'm Jamie. ⋆⭒˚.⋆ I'm here on CCC to pursue voice acting and creative writing opportunities, and to meet other creatives in fandom who are making amazing things! Feel free to message me here or on discord @jameseylad.

VOICE ACTING

  • Setup: I work from home in a small, sound-treated studio. Currently I record with an AT2020 XLR and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th gen audio interface. I use Audacity and StudioOne for most projects.

  • Experience: I self-produce anime ASMR/song covers and have been featured in other character projects here on CCC. I have studied a number of accents, predominantly European and American, and can do several recognisable character impressions ranging from the benign (Kermit) to the turbulent (Smeagol).

  • Cleanup: Auditions I submit are cleaned with noise removal, but if you require further editing, compression, ambience, or SFX, I am able to provide additional treatment for my audio.

  • Offering for your project:

    • Character acting and dub  (Video games, Manga/Manhwa/Manhua, Anime/Donghua, Comics, etc.)

    • Character ASMR or X-Reader 

    • Narration and standard voiceover work

CREATIVE WRITING

  • Background: I am a graduate of English literature and creative writing, and am currently studying an MFA in Creative Writing while working on my own novel project. I have ample experience writing prose, poetry, dialogue, scripts, and short fiction, with multiple publications available online.

  • Interests: My focus is in championing queer voices and diversifying fictional representations of gender. I am also highly intrigued by the various uses of anthropomorphism and metaphor, and find myself drawn to fantasy, gothic, horror, surrealism, and historical fiction.

  • Offering for your project:

    • Character design (DnD characters, OCs, novel characters, webcomic characters)

    • Writing research (Story, worldbuilding, period accuracy, plot and conflict)

    • Script writing (Character ASMR, podcast scripts, performance scripts, YouTube scripts)

CURRENTLY SEEKING

  • Voiceover roles: Paid or unpaid voice work for anime or cartoons, fan projects, original content, thesis films, narration and audiobooks, and adult content.

  • Writing jobs: Paid writing opportunities such as character development, worlbuilding, short prose, or scripts.
