Hi, I’m Jesse Labao, a 44yr old single dad, who sounds like a full gravel truck struggling uphill on a backroad, when I talk. So I’m basically your typical radio voice from the early 50’s to mid 80’s. Just think ‘what would a space marine sound like in real life?’ Or maybe a gruff old logger. ‘Gruff’ usually comes to mind when hearing my usual voice. Wait til I’m tired and dry throated and you’ll get a Giant or a Balour or a Space Marine Dreadnaught. Funny enough I can also sing pretty well so I can hit most tones and notes and sustain with ease. I also have to mention that I smoke real cigarettes like an old mechanic (weird coz I am an old mechanic lol) I also have all mannerisms down pat due to living such a versatile life

Since the age of 9 I have worked trades, bricklaying, reinforcing steel rebar, demolition and abatement, welding and metal fabrication to coach building. Also lit stages and sets for some big concerts, tv shows and movies through IATSE891. I even worked in the service industry; from washing dishes in dives to cooking and serving dishes in five diamond infusion restaurants with big name chefs like Rob Feenie, to hanging off the side of Calgary Tower to clean windows on a bosun chair. Right now I do odd jobs and children care and freelance art commissions. Currently also working on Vibe-Coding my own video games for mobile, console and even a new type of multiplayer player gaming not seen since the mid 90’s 😈

I enjoy life day by day, as I like to live a simple easy going life. I love to read, work on things with my hands or just build things from large projects to small models, RC fanatic and avid Hot Wheels/comic books/classic & vintage toy collector. Huuuuuuuuge movie buff, lover of old and new; especially spin offs if they are done well. Absolute Warhammer 40K lore freak, if it’s cannon I will eat it up (dreaming of the day I get to voice an astartes🤩) I absolutely love my son with all my heart and soul, so it’s only fitting I mention the lil bugger lol.

So take a listen to some of the stuff I auditioned for, so you get a feel for my sound and depth. Currently not running any to equipment for this type of work, would love some tips and tricks on how to be better at this craft. Thank you all for the opportunity and I do pray I can be one of your best contributors.
