Hello, how are you doing today?


I'm Ed the Djinn, an aspiring voice actor from Italy looking to expand my skills and practice practice practice.

I don't have any theatre, music or voice training but I'm learning, studying and practicing as often as I can! Any work experience is teaching me something new and I hope to learn from you too.
Big fan of videogames, science, combat sports, Pallas cats and ttrpgs (D&D GM for 6 years, 10+ years as a player.)

And when inspiration strikes, I'll draw some digital doodles!

These things are very important to me:

  • Clear communication, especially when discussing projects and details. Constructive feedback is always welcome!

  • Honesty. If there is anything wrong with my performance, tell me. If I ask a question, don't leave it pending. If you want me to re-record a line, let me know and I'll happily do so! Also, it's ok to say you're not doing well and that something is weighting on your mind. Talking about it can help.

  • No AI for my voicework: I do not consent to having my voice used for AI training or any AI purposes. I believe in AI being a powerful and useful tool for mankind, from coding to research, but let's keep it out of creative work. I do NOT consent or give permission to using my works for any AI-related purposes. You won't use my voice for anything AI-related under any circumstance.

Voice:
The best way I can describe my natural voice is somewhere between low baritone and bass.
My native Italian accent is strong, but I'm looking to learn and perfect a neutral/general American kind of accent!

What Ed The Djinn is looking for

I'm open to more or less everything, the more experience the better and I'm still trying to gauge my full range. If you think I could help with your project, we can certainly talk about it!
I'm also looking to dabble in different medias and genres, from analog horror to student media, depending on the roles and projects.


That said, my main interest is working on anything related to videogames: mainly horror and roleplaying games (both of which I already have some experience with!), FPS and action games a la Bayonetta, DMC and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
